"Come in!"

Just as Lingfeng was frowning and pondering, a rather gentle voice came from inside the bamboo house. It didn't sound like a fierce demon at all.

Lingfeng clenched his fists, feeling a bit wary, and walked towards the bamboo house.

Stepping on the bamboo stairs, Lingfeng walked step by step into the largest bamboo house in the middle.

When he reached the door, he stopped and bowed respectfully.

"Disciple Lingfeng, paying respects to Master!"

Since he had been assigned to Little Bamboo Peak, he must be a disciple of that "Master Duanmu," right? In terms of seniority, wouldn't he be on the same level as the peak masters of the Wenshan Sect?

A gentle breeze blew, and even before the person arrived, a strong smell of alcohol wafted over.

In the next moment, an old man dressed in blue, with white hair and beard, walked out of the house. He had a wine gourd hanging from his waist, and his hair was somewhat disheveled, giving him a somewhat "immortal drunkard" vibe.

Although he looked a bit unkempt, he didn't seem like a vicious person!

"Are you the disciple who joined my sect this year?" The old man sized up Lingfeng and asked.

"Yes! Disciple Lingfeng, paying respects to Master!" Lingfeng bowed, feeling a bit curious.

Since he was Yang Wei and Li Liang's Master Uncle, this old man's status should be quite high. Why would he live in such a simple place?

"You're a smart kid. I haven't even accepted you, and you're already calling me Master." Duanmu Qingshan's lips curled slightly, and he said indifferently, "But it's a bit early to call me Master. As you can see, there are only two of us left in this lineage."

Lingfeng was taken aback. Indeed, the closer he got to Little Bamboo Peak, the fewer people there were.

Could it be that his "Master" was an eccentric person, so no one dared to be his disciple?

"Extend your hand." Duanmu Qingshan's voice was magnetic, but it lacked any emotional fluctuation.

Lingfeng gritted his teeth and extended his right hand.

Duanmu Qingshan grabbed Lingfeng's arm, felt his pulse for a moment, and then shook his head. "As expected, another dull-witted kid."

Lingfeng blinked. Even if he was stupid, he knew that Yang Wei and Li Liang had ill intentions.

But why would they send a mediocre disciple to Duanmu Qingshan?

"Since you call me Master, I will teach you the basic cultivation method of the Wenshan Sect." Duanmu Qingshan stood with his hands behind his back, his voice still cold.

As he spoke, Duanmu Qingshan took out a book from somewhere, covered in wine stains, but the words were still legible.

*Wenshan Qi Cultivation Technique*!

"Take it!" Duanmu Qingshan casually tossed the secret manual over.

Lingfeng reached out to catch it, knowing it was the cultivation method for the Qi Condensation Realm. He bowed to Duanmu Qingshan, "Thank you, Master."

"I told you, don't be in a hurry to call me Master." Duanmu Qingshan waved his hand, "If you can survive these few days, then you can call me Master."

"Survive these few days?" Lingfeng was puzzled, "What do you mean?"

Lingfeng felt a bit suspicious. Judging from Duanmu Qingshan's attitude and the look in Zong Yuan's eyes, he would clearly face trouble in the next few days.

Duanmu Qingshan glanced at Lingfeng and said indifferently, "There's some food inside. You can eat first. After eating, go and cultivate. Perhaps tonight, or at the latest tomorrow, disciples from other lineages will come to bully you. If you can't handle it, go to the outer sect obediently."

"Indeed!" Lingfeng's eyes narrowed, and he clenched his fists. He didn't want to cause trouble, but he wouldn't back down if trouble came to him!

Since he had entered the inner sect, he wouldn't easily run to the outer sect.

The resources available to inner sect disciples and outer sect disciples were worlds apart. If he wanted to become strong quickly, he had to stay in the inner sect!

"Since we have a connection, there are some healing herbs outside. If you need them, you can pick them freely." Duanmu Qingshan patted Lingfeng's shoulder, then untied the wine gourd from his waist, took a sip, and turned to leave.

Watching Duanmu Qingshan's back, Lingfeng was even more puzzled.

As a senior master of the peak masters, would he just watch his disciple be bullied?

What was the hidden story here?

However, at that moment, Lingfeng frowned, noticing something wrong with Duanmu Qingshan's body.

"Internal injuries?" Lingfeng touched his nose.

A doctor observes, listens, asks, and feels the pulse.

Lingfeng's medical skills were extraordinary. Although he didn't feel the pulse, he was very confident in his eyesight.

"A respected senior of the Wenshan Sect, with no status in the sect and internal injuries..." Lingfeng frowned, "What does this all mean?"

In the next moment, he shook his head and smiled bitterly, "I'm already in a difficult situation myself. I'll just try to survive these few days first!"

"Having finally entered the inner sect, I must not be expelled!"

Lingfeng clenched his fists. He had too many mysteries in his mind, and he needed great strength to unravel them.

Lingfeng took a deep breath. According to what Duanmu Qingshan said, he seemed to have planted some medicinal herbs.

Out of curiosity, he turned and walked to the courtyard in front of the bamboo house, and indeed saw several herb patches.

"Purple Blood Ginseng!"

"Miracle Chrysanthemum!"

"Treasures, all treasures!"

Lingfeng's eyelids twitched violently. These were all rare medicinal herbs that couldn't be seen in the mortal world!

As a doctor, Lingfeng's mind almost went dizzy with excitement when he saw these medicinal herbs.

Since Duanmu Qingshan allowed him to pick them, it should be fine to take some.

...

Duanmu Qingshan sat by the window, drinking wine while looking at Lingfeng.

"Strange, why is this kid so interested in these herbs? Ordinary people probably can't even identify them."

Duanmu Qingshan himself was also a highly skilled doctor. The herbs he planted in the courtyard were for treating his internal injuries.

In theory, without considerable medical skills, it would be impossible to recognize those obscure herbs.

Suddenly, a black aura flashed on Duanmu Qingshan's forehead. He quickly sealed several acupoints on the left side of his body and took a long time to recover.

"Lin Canglang, Yang Wei! You won't keep me, Duanmu Qingshan, trapped forever!"

Duanmu Qingshan snorted and finally withdrew his gaze from Lingfeng.

He knew very well that even if this young man Lingfeng understood some medical skills, it wouldn't change his fate.

It wouldn't be long before he, like the mediocre disciples sent over the past ten years, couldn't bear the bullying from other lineages and would leave on his own.
