In such a manner, I was practically abducted and brought to the castle... and to my surprise, the preparations for the wedding were already complete!
"Prince, you're too quick. Just how much did you want to marry Eira?"
"Is that the destined partner of Prince Alexis?"
"Well, to be honest..."
"She's more plain than I thought..."
Hey, I can hear you...?
Unable to say anything, I was thrown into a waiting room, pricked by curious gazes. The wedding dress was already prepared in the room. The prince sure works fast.
The waiting maids gathered and, before I knew it, I was turned into a dress-up doll.
"Ugh, the dress is too tight...! Even though it was made to his specifications!"
The corset was so tight it felt like my organs were about to burst out, and I almost vomited.
The wedding dress made for Eira by the prince was too tight for me.
But, Prince, isn't it a bit too challenging to tailor a dress by estimation?
This is probably even tight for the petite Eira, right?
Somehow, they managed to squeeze my standard body into the dress, and the bride (temporarily) was complete.
I was then guided to the next place... and before I knew it, I was standing in front of the chapel door with Prince Alexis.
...Yeah, there's no way to escape now. I didn't plan to escape anyway.
From the moment the prince recognized my existence, it took only a few hours to get to this point.
Glancing sideways, he had a face that could kill with a glance. Honestly, it's scary.
"Listen, Evaleena."
"It's Adelina."
"Your name doesn't matter. You were the one I noticed at the ball. The glass slipper fit you perfectly, got it?"
Got it? Even though he asked, I doubt he cares about my opinion.
The answer is "yes" or "YES." Refusal means death.
Don't worry, I understand.
"As you command, Prince."
Despite acting like a cat in front of Eira, now he's showing his cold, self-centered side. This is fraud.
Eira, you're lucky you didn't fall for this guy.
I found myself thinking about it as if it were someone else's problem.
"Prince Alexis and the Princess are entering!"
With the cheerful sound of trumpets, we slowly walked into the chapel.
The gazes that seemed to say, "The prince's destined princess is quite plain, isn't she?" were something I had already gotten used to.
Even the priest looked surprised, as if to say, "Is this the person?" He's a smart one.
However, it seems the prince has no intention of calling off the wedding.
The priest, who was glared at by the prince, hurriedly resumed the ceremony.
Through sickness and health, somehow or other.
The vow words ended in a daze, and before I knew it, it was time for the kiss.
The prince roughly lifted my veil.
His gaze was cold, clearly conveying his unwillingness.
But I'm unwilling too. Actually, I think I'm the one suffering more unjustly.
...While I was thinking this, the prince's face drew near.
Forehead? Cheek? Contrary to my expectations, he firmly kissed my lips!
Honestly, he's so dutiful or something...
Ah, goodbye, my first kiss. There's no particular feeling about it since it happened so suddenly.
And so, my wedding ended in a very disappointing manner.
