Chapter 83

Unexpectedly receiving a title, I, for the time being, was in my room, eating and drinking the things I had bought while watching videos on the internet.
I was casually watching a video that Mr. Mochizuki was streaming.
‘A cute and refined lady explorer, and on top of that, a D-rank! This alone makes her a winner in the streaming world, doesn’t it?’
“D-rank… or rather, the fact that she’s not A-rank might be a point of appeal. Look, there are some comments that seem like they’re from explorers.”
Mochizuki, in the video, is exploring an E-rank dungeon with her companions. They engage in friendly banter, laughing at times, but when it comes to combat, they display impressive teamwork.
This likely serves as a reference for other explorers or elicits共鸣 through relatable anecdotes. The comment section shows that self-proclaimed explorers are actively sharing their opinions and reactions, indicating a lively atmosphere.
“Kasumi’s video channel also had quite a few tutorials and lectures for lower-rank explorers.”
‘Mochi’s approach is more relatable and from the same perspective, sharing various discoveries and thoughts. Because it’s not too serious, it’s easier to connect with than Mitchi’s.’
“Mochi? Mitchi?”
‘Mochi for Mochizuki, Mitchi for Kido. What do you think, Liebe? My naming skills are amazing, right? You can use them too if you like!’
I’ll pass on that, as I’m pretty sure I’d get a negative reaction no matter what.
Putting aside Liebe’s questionable naming, I continue to watch Mochizuki’s videos. Even just browsing through the list is enjoyable, but since I’m here, I might as well watch the latest one.
“Big brother, Aizawa-san is here!”
“Oh? Alright.”
Just as I was about to sort the videos by posting date, Yuzuko came in to tell me that my visitor had arrived. It seems Aizawa-san has some business with me.
I head to the entrance. Yuzuko’s friends are a group of four. That’s a lot!
They are all girls, which makes sense. They look at me with great interest.
“Oh, it’s the person from the video!”
“You’re the leader of the Kido Kasumi cult, seriously, you’re Yuzuko’s big brother!?”
“C-Cool…! The real Shining Yamagata!”
Ah, well, yeah. I guess I’m being treated like a religious figure. It’s clear that my name has really started to spread, even among my sister’s friends. I can’t help but wonder what my future holds.
“Hello, I’m Kosei, Yuzuko’s brother. Yuzuko is always well taken care of.”
I greet them lightly, addressing the three girls and Aizawa-san.
Wearing casual clothes, quite different from school uniforms or exploration gear, Aizawa-san looks fresh. Her outfit, consisting of a shirt, pants, and a light jacket, is surprisingly boyish.
She bows deeply to me, just as she did before.
“It’s been a while. Thank you so much for everything the other day.”
“No, no, it’s nothing. I heard you went to the hospital, are you okay?”
“Yes, thanks to you. I believe you’ve already met Mochizuki-san, who is doing well. No one has any lingering effects.”
“That’s good to hear.”
I was a bit worried, so I’m relieved. Mochizuki was fine, as I had seen her at the second religious conference (which was more of a gathering of like-minded people), but Aizawa’s party must have gone through a lot. Anything could have happened.
Still, Aizawa, whom I hadn’t seen in a while, seems much calmer today. There’s no trace of the sharpness from when Mochizuki was missing. Instead, she exudes a peaceful aura and looks at me with deep gratitude.
Hmm… I really must have been in a panic when we met at the middle school. She might have even been out of her mind. The thought that she might have done something irreparable if things had continued that way is chilling.
Despite that, Aizawa now bows to me with a profound sense of liberation.
“Thank you so much. And I’m sorry. I was terribly rude when we first met. I was at my worst.”
“Don’t worry about it. It’s good to reflect, but there’s no need to carry regret with you.”
“Thank you… for saving Mochizuki and protecting our party. You are my savior, both in life and in heart.”
She says this, a single tear streaming down her face. It must be a tear of joy.
I’m glad it’s not a tear of sadness.
“Oh, a heartbreaker…!”
“I heard that Kido is head over heels, but I didn’t think it was true!”
“Is Mochizuki the same Mochizuki Natsuki? She’s been talking about a savior on her channel recently. Could it be…?”
Huh?
Amidst the excited chatter of my sister’s friends, I hear something that catches my attention.
Mochizuki? Could it be that you’re the one doing this?
