Chapter 39

"我一直觉得，栽培方案，对很多女性选手，对更广大十倍百倍的民间选手，不公平！" Liu Hai said, "Life evolution is for all the people."

"If we are to cultivate, we should cultivate the most outstanding and talented among all the people of Xia." Liu Hai looked at the five leaders, "I, Liu Hai, have only practiced for a few more decades, giving me a temporary lead. In terms of talent, there could be many more in the billions of people in Xia who are stronger than me. From the perspective of using the best steel for the blade, it should also be used on those with higher talent."

"This is just my suggestion," Liu Hai said, "Of course, my vision may not be far-sighted enough, but I hope it can provide some reference for the five leaders."

The five leaders looked at each other and all smiled.

"Let me explain,"

Zhou, the bureau chief, smiled and said, "The previous focus on cultivation based solely on performance had many issues. But we also aimed to eliminate favoritism and ensure the fairest possible process."

"As for the unfairness to female athletes and a broader range of civilian athletes, this situation indeed exists," Zhou said, "Before life evolution, women were indeed physically weaker than men, and the number of people watching women's competitions was also lower. There were fewer female professional athletes, and it was even harder to identify the best among civilian athletes. These are all real situations."

"National cultivation needs to be extremely cautious," Zhou said, "For example, the Fifth-Rank Shield and Blade Technique you chose was derived from a virtual world host, which, based on your personal shield and blade skills, fully simulated for five minutes to deduce the most suitable technique for you. The virtual world host is a discovery on Yinghuo Star, and the entire Blue Star Alliance treats it as a treasure. Running it at full power for five minutes requires a certain cost from our country."

"Cultivation definitely can't be widespread," another elder said, "This is limited by conditions."

"In terms of talent... I believe there are many more in the billions of people in the country who are stronger than the twenty on the list. But to dig out geniuses from the billions of people also takes time," Zhou said, "As for the twenty on the list, they are actually the seeds."

"Seeds?" Liu Hai's heart stirred.

"Like the Fifth-Rank Shield and Blade Technique you chose, and the Fifth-Rank Spear Technique Gao Chong chose, these are the most suitable techniques for you, derived from the virtual world host based on your own combat skills," Zhou said, "As you learn and grow, your combat videos will also be displayed on the viewing platform for countless people to study. They will learn from the combat techniques of the strongest experts."

Liu Hai listened.

Ordinary people, even if they watch the videos, can't catch up with those who are cultivated.

"You are the first batch of cultivated personnel," Zhou said, "Based on subsequent performance, we will have further cultivation! But the list will change! Those who perform better and have higher talent will receive more cultivation."

"Further cultivation?" Liu Hai asked, "When?"

The refined man smiled and said, "We have already decided that more than a month after the virtual world opens, on September 1st, we will hold a 'Seed Cup' tournament. Based on the combat power rankings in this national tournament, from highest to lowest, another batch of people will be cultivated."

"September 1st, Seed Cup tournament?" Liu Hai said, "Then the previous twenty people won't have much of an advantage? Combat power rankings, most of them will definitely be at the top."

"Those who received resources previously will be excluded from the second batch list. Unless they perform exceptionally well! Like Coach Liu Hai, who is now the world's best, naturally, we will cultivate you more intensively," the refined man smiled, "Of the previous twenty, only two or three will be cultivated again, mainly targeting new experts."

Liu Hai nodded.

"Do you need any more resources for yourself?" Zhou said, "I believe the White Eagle Federation will also focus more on cultivating that old boxing champion."

"Can you reserve this opportunity for now?" Liu Hai said, "I want to wait until after the Seed Cup tournament to make my request. After all, I have only practiced for ten days in the virtual world."

"Alright, we'll reserve it for now," Zhou nodded, "I have a favor to ask."

"Please, go ahead," Liu Hai said.

"I hope you can make public the video of you clearing the third floor of the Star Tower," Zhou said, "I hope the general public can see your combat skills and learn from them."

"Sure," Liu Hai nodded, "I'll make it public today."

"I notice that you rarely participate in god-level battles," Zhou said, "In ten days, you've only participated in two. I know that god-level battles are no challenge for you. But participating in one every day, which takes only a few minutes, is okay, right? Let other god-level experts learn from you. You are the seeds, so shine a light on more people."

"Sure," Liu Hai agreed directly.

After all, the requirement wasn't high. One god-level battle, if he participates, he can easily dominate! It will be over in a few minutes.

"By the way, when will the five leaders announce the Seed Cup tournament?" Liu Hai asked.

"Today!" Zhou said.

……

Night.

Li Miaomiao lay in Xu Jingming's arms, whispering.

"Miaomiao, your stamina is much better than before," Xu Jingming teased.

"This is called life evolution!" Li Miaomiao glared at Xu Jingming and huffed, "Wait until I fully evolve, and you'll see how powerful I am."

"Oh," Xu Jingming obediently responded, "In real life, I will also practice the evolution method diligently and not disappoint my wife."

"Tsk!"

Li Miaomiao decided not to compete with this man in terms of thick skin.

"According to the Xia official live stream, a big announcement will be made at midnight," Li Miaomiao said, "It's almost time, right?"

Xu Jingming glanced at the time on the bedside watch: "It's already past midnight, but no rush. The announcement from the Xia official live stream can wait a bit."

"It's already past midnight?" Li Miaomiao sprang up, crossed over Xu Jingming's body, and immediately picked up the virtual helmet on the vanity table, urging, "It's important news, we need to know it first! Don't be slow."

"It's not an official announcement from the virtual world," Xu Jingming still enjoyed the feeling of having a warm body in his arms, so he sighed and picked up the virtual helmet from the bedside table.

The two of them put on the virtual helmets one after another and entered the virtual world.

******

On the viewing platform, Xu Jingming and Li Miaomiao both arrived at the Xia official live stream.

The Xia official live stream now has over 200 million viewers!

After all, it's just an announcement, which isn't very attractive to ordinary people. Having over 200 million viewers is already quite a lot.

"The 'Seed Cup' national tournament organized by the Xia government is open to all the people of the country," the host Liu Xin was explaining, "As long as it's a team of god-level experts, they can sign up!"

"The Seed Cup national tournament will officially start on September 1st, with the tournament lasting six days from the preliminary to the final!"

"At that time, numerous god-level teams will battle each other, with the strong advancing to the next round and the weak being eliminated... Our official live stream and various media will provide comprehensive coverage," Liu Xin said, "And we have confirmed that Liu Hai, currently the world's best, will choose four non-professional athletes as teammates and also participate in this Seed Cup national tournament."

Another male host, Jin Fan, smiled and said, "I'm really looking forward to seeing Liu Hai's strength. Will he still be the national champion with four non-professional athletes?"

"The virtual world has only been open for ten days, and more than a thousand god-level experts have already emerged. The Seed Cup national tournament is on September 1st, which is still nearly a month away. By then, there will be many more god-level experts," Liu Xin said, "I believe the competition will have more variables."

"Yes, the current strong players may be surpassed by new experts," Jin Fan also said, "So, all the experts, work hard! Make yourselves stronger. On September 1st, compete with the strongest teams in the country."

"This tournament is full of talented experts, and the prize money is also very generous," Liu Xin waved his hand, and a large amount of text appeared beside him, "The detailed rules of the 'Seed Cup' national tournament are clearly written here."

Countless viewers carefully read the information.

Xu Jingming and Li Miaomiao also read it carefully.
