Wujin knelt on the ground.
His hands clenched into fists, his body covered in blood.
He lifted his head, looking at the middle-aged man, and with all his might, he forced a smile onto his face.
“This is my younger brother, the youngest one. He’s only eleven, eleven!”
“He can’t cultivate; he was born weak.”
“He’s no threat to you, he won’t be any threat...”
He exhaled heavily, blood gushing from his nostrils. His fists pressed into the ground, his back bent, and his forehead struck the hard ground forcefully.
*Thud*!
*Thud*!
*Thud*!
Wujin’s forehead hit the ground, once, twice, three times...
As he continued to bow, Wujin laughed bitterly: “He has no ability to take revenge on you, he has no ability at all... He can read, he knows many characters... He can do arithmetic, he understands accounting...”
Wujin lifted his head, his twisted smile looking ugly.
The skin on his forehead split open, blood streaming down his cheeks. He licked the blood from the corner of his mouth and laughed dryly: “I’m useless... I caused the death of the third one... and the second one...”
“You want to vent your anger, kill me!” Wujin’s body trembled violently, his young face contorted to the extreme, unable to maintain that ugly smile.
He was afraid of death!
He was still young; Wutie was only eleven, but he, Wujin, was not even twenty!
He was in the prime of his life, and he hadn’t enjoyed the beauty of life... Especially when Wuzhan, after drinking cheap alcohol, secretly and improperly described the beauty of women to his eldest and second sons... Wujin had always been filled with longing!
He really didn’t want to die!
He was afraid!
His fingers trembled as he tore open the tattered linen shirt on his body, revealing his muscular upper body. Wujin looked up at the middle-aged man, tears streaming down his face, trembling, and with a twisted smile, he begged.
“To vent your anger, kill me... even dismember me... but the fourth one is still young... still young...”
The middle-aged man tilted his head, sizing up the bloodied Wujin.
“How old are you?” the middle-aged man asked gently.
“Twenty... almost twenty!” Wujin’s body trembled slightly.
From a distance of about thirty meters, the enemies surrounded the two brothers in a semicircle. The shadow of death loomed over Wujin’s heart, fear gripping his heart, his vision darkening, and he couldn’t breathe. Wujin was truly afraid.
He wrapped one hand around Wutie’s thin, cold body. Wutie was trembling violently, and Wujin, suppressing his fear, smiled at the middle-aged man, forcing a smile.
“In my family, there are only my father and the four of us brothers... spare the fourth one, kill me, and you won’t face any threat...”
Wujin coughed up a mouthful of blood.
“The fourth one can read and do accounting... selling him as a slave would be good, a literate and numerate slave is very valuable!”
Wujin looked at the large emblem on the middle-aged man’s chest...
Black mist rolled, and a white skeletal hand emerged from the black mist, holding several blood-stained gold coins.
“Money... gold coins... the fourth one is very valuable!”
The middle-aged man’s snake-headed staff tapped the ground lightly. He tilted his head, looked at Wujin seriously, and then shook his head with a frown.
“What a touching brotherly affection... many years ago...”
He lifted his head and smiled.
“Ha, how many years ago... yes, it seems someone once protected me like this!”
“What a deep brotherly bond! I’m almost moved by you!”
Shaking his head, the middle-aged man firmly shook his head again: “But, to cut the grass, you must remove the roots!”
“A man in his late teens, almost at the Sensory Mystic stage... and your father, actually a genuine Heavy Tower realm cultivator, who has even comprehended a mystic ability...” The middle-aged man’s eyes flickered as he looked at the brothers Wujin and Wutie.
“In this impoverished place, a man in his late teens, almost at the Sensory Mystic stage... and a Heavy Tower realm cultivator in his early forties? Ha, do you think I’m stupid?”
The surrounding twenty or so enemies murmured, the middle-aged man’s words stirring unease in their hearts.
No matter how you looked at it, the Wu family shouldn’t be in this wretched place.
The middle-aged man raised his snake staff, the long, thin staff piercing Wujin’s shoulder. With both hands, the middle-aged man exerted force, and Wujin groaned in pain, being lifted by the snake staff.
“But, my fourth brother... he knows nothing... he understands nothing... he can’t cultivate... he’s harmless to you...”
Wujin clutched the snake staff with both hands, forcing a smile.
Blood and sweat streamed down Wujin’s legs like a small stream.
Wutie slumped on the ground, the surrounding puddles already dyed red by Wujin’s blood. Hundreds of small, round, tentacled creatures emitting a soft white glow absorbed the blood, their white bodies also turning red.
“Brother...”
Wutie was helpless.
He had no strength.
His vision was filled with blood, and thick black mist rolled out from the blood.
The pale faces of Wuzhan, Wuyin, and Wutong, countless pale, swollen faces, rolled before Wutie’s eyes.
Occasionally, the faces of Xionghu and other pale faces he had seen before would appear before him.
Wutie called out to Wujin repeatedly.
He knew Wujin was begging the enemies for his life.
He knew Wujin was giving up his own struggle for his life.
Fear, boundless fear, filled every pore of Wutie’s body.
He tried to feel angry...
But anger was like a small patch of night mushrooms under the feet of a gray rock lizard, just sprouting and immediately crushed by the lizard’s heavy body.
He couldn’t feel angry.
He had no strength, not even the right to be angry.
Tears streamed down Wutie’s face, his face contorted and spasming like Wujin’s.
“Brother...” Wutie cried out loudly.
“See, he’s a coward,” Wujin smiled at the middle-aged man, a difficult smile.
The black snake staff was highly toxic. As it pierced Wujin’s shoulder, the poison corroded his flesh, making a sizzling sound.
Black pus and blood continuously oozed from the wound, and Wujin’s smile became even more twisted and ugly.
“He’s a coward... a crying coward... what can he do to you?”
Wujin tried his best to belittle Wutie.
“Brotherly affection... I hate it the most,” the middle-aged man suddenly grinned widely: “I hate seeing loving brothers the most. Why can’t you kill each other?”
“I hate loving brothers the most.”
“Brothers...”
The middle-aged man held the snake staff with one hand and drew a sharp short sword from his waist with the other, slowly thrusting it towards Wujin’s heart.
As he acted, the middle-aged man laughed and looked at Wutie: “Boy... look, I’m going to kill your brother.”
“Ha, does it hurt?”
“Are you sad?”
“Are you desperate?”
“Then cry out loud?”
“Cry?”
“Cry quickly?”
“Shout?”
“Shout quickly?”
“Scream?”
“Scream quickly?”
“Beg me?”
“Beg me quickly?”
The short sword slowly approached Wujin’s heart, the tip touching his skin.
Wujin’s fingers suddenly loosened, and he instinctively tried to do something. Two heavily armored men, even more robust than him, suddenly pounced, one on each side, tightly gripping his arms.
“Your brother wants to fight... I won’t give him the chance.”
The middle-aged man suddenly opened his mouth and began singing a nursery rhyme.
A nursery rhyme about brothers digging for food, suddenly finding a great harvest, and returning home happily.
The short nursery rhyme was quickly sung, and the middle-aged man’s smile grew wider: “Brotherly affection... I hate it the most!”
Wutie’s vision went black, and he struggled to support himself on the ground, bowing his head to the middle-aged man.
“Spare my brother...”
“I beg you... spare him...”
“I beg you...”
“I beg you...”
“I beg you...”
Wujin gasped for breath, blood gushing from his mouth.
He turned his head with difficulty, using the corner of his eye to look at Wutie, who was continuously bowing on the ground.
The hard rock ground quickly split the skin on Wutie’s forehead, and blood dripped continuously.
“Fine!” The middle-aged man nodded forcefully, smiling: “In this world... I will completely spare your brother... watch carefully!”
The short sword in his left hand thrust forcefully.
Wutie lifted his head just in time to see the tip of the short sword pierce Wujin’s chest, penetrating more than an inch deep.
Wujin roared, blood streaming from his eyes.
Wutie burst into tears, struggling to stand up, and reached out his hands towards Wujin.
“He’s dying!” The middle-aged man laughed, his gaze falling on Wutie’s chest, where the foot-long ‘Chiyou Tooth’ was swinging.
“A strange object,” the middle-aged man smiled.
A white, extremely fine snake shadow suddenly emerged from Wujin’s forehead, spanning his forehead and moving like a living creature.
A white light enveloped Wujin’s body, and with a loud boom, a powerful shockwave erupted from within him.
A strange howl echoed, and the shockwave swept the surroundings.
Wutie’s vision went black, and his small body was lifted by the shockwave, tumbling backward.
The middle-aged man shouted in shock and anger.
The short sword in his left hand was violently repelled, flying out of Wujin’s chest. The sword turned red in the air, as if burned in a furnace, the blade melting and turning into molten iron before it hit the ground.
The snake staff that had pierced Wujin’s shoulder broke, and a large amount of black toxic blood spurted out. The broken staff flew out like an arrow, piercing the middle-aged man’s right chest.
The middle-aged man’s right chest was pierced by the broken staff, and he coughed up blood, his body flying backward like a leaf in the wind.
The surrounding twenty or so enemies were all blasted away by the shockwave, screaming and cursing as they were thrown hundreds of meters away, rolling on the ground and unable to regain their balance.
The two men who had been holding Wujin’s arms were the worst off; their four thick arms were blown to pieces, leaving only half of the bones hanging from their shoulders.
The two men’s bodies also flew high.
They were closest to Wujin, and the shockwave hit them directly in the face and chest. Their armor shattered, and the fragments deeply embedded in their flesh, turning them into sieves.
Wujin turned his head sharply and shouted.
Then his body transformed into a white light, a white light shaped like a long snake, and in a flash, it disappeared without a trace.
The white light vanished, and the large cave was filled with the sound of water.
Waves surged, and the whirlpools made a dull sound.
Wutie, being small, was barely affected by the shockwave. He shakily stood up, looking at where Wujin had disappeared.
“Brother...”
Tears streamed down his face. Wutie didn’t know what had happened; he thought Wujin had been blown to pieces like Wuzhan.
“Brother!” Wutie screamed, crying loudly.
“Damn it!” The middle-aged man shakily got up, pulling the broken staff from his right chest. Blood gushed from the wound, and he spat out large mouthfuls of blood.
As he spat blood, he hastily applied ointment to the wound, his eyes bloodshot as he looked at Wutie, who was several hundred meters away.
“Kill this boy, take the strange object, and leave quickly.”
The middle-aged man screamed hoarsely, almost hysterical.
“This impoverished place... is actually... a bloodline sanctuary...”
“The bloodline sanctuary of the eldest son of the family, only possessed by direct bloodline!”
“Is it from the father’s side? Or the mother’s side?”
“If it’s from the father’s side, we’ve already made deadly enemies...”
“If it’s from the mother’s side... we’ve provoked an enemy we shouldn’t have...”
A nearly two-meter-tall, bear-like, muscular bald woman wielding a large axe staggered towards Wutie.
Everyone had been blown away, and the woman was several hundred meters from Wutie.
Staggering, the woman reached Wutie, roaring and swinging her axe, aiming to cut him down.
Wutie let out a terrified scream, and somehow, he mustered the strength to leap backward, not realizing that he was only a short distance from the boiling water behind him.
However, Wutie’s body was too weak.
He leaped backward with all his might, but only managed to jump a little over a meter.
The ‘Chiyou Tooth’ hanging from his chest swung, the foot-long ‘Chiyou Tooth’ blocking in front of Wutie.
The woman laughed loudly, swinging her axe down forcefully.
She intended to split Wutie’s head open, but Wutie’s leap caused the steel axe to strike the ‘Chiyou Tooth’.
*Buzz*! The ‘Chiyou Tooth’ vibrated violently, and Wutie felt his body go numb.
The steel axe, as large as half of Wutie’s body, shattered.
Countless iron fragments flew backward.
The woman’s hands felt light, and her body lurched forward, staring in shock as the iron fragments shot towards her.
The iron fragments battered her face and chest, causing her to scream in agony, her hands covering her shattered eyes as she rolled and convulsed on the ground.
Wutie’s weak body was shaken by the force of the axe, flying in a parabolic arc, and landing in the turbulent water with numerous whirlpools.
The middle-aged man threw down the ointment, screaming at the top of his lungs.
