When Chu Yunfan arrived at school, quite a few classmates were already in the liberal arts classroom.

In the Kunlun Era, every school emphasized the development of both literary and martial skills. Those who only buried themselves in books like in the Gregorian Era, or those who were only physically strong but mentally simple, were considered useless.

The education in the Kunlun Era aimed to cultivate students into well-rounded individuals with both literary and martial talents. Even an average student from this era would be a standout in the Gregorian Era.

Before the division into literary and martial classes, the schedule was generally divided into two parts: the morning for various literary subjects and the afternoon for martial arts training.

This approach was designed to foster well-rounded individuals. After the division, each class would have its own specialized focus.

Literary and martial classes were usually held in different rooms. The literary classroom was similar to those in the Gregorian Era, while the martial classroom was a large arena for training.

Chu Yunfan's arrival went unnoticed. He went to his seat and took out a tablet from his backpack. Many years ago, paper books had been phased out, replaced by tablets, which were more convenient and environmentally friendly.

A single tablet contained all the textbooks, exercises, and the ability to search the internet for information, making it a very convenient learning tool.

Chu Yunfan opened the textbook and began to read. This was his daily routine. In this era, both literary and martial skills were emphasized, so even those aiming for the martial class needed to excel in literary subjects.

However, he soon noticed something was different. He found that he could read ten lines at a glance and remember everything he read. The more he recalled, the more he understood things that were previously incomprehensible.

His literary scores had never been particularly good, but now, after reading an entire textbook, he could easily solve the corresponding exercises. It was as if he had the learning ability of a genius.

It was completely beyond his imagination!

"It seems the transformation wasn't just about my martial potential; it was a comprehensive upgrade. It feels like my brain has been unlocked!" Chu Yunfan mused to himself. His thoughts were now incredibly clear, and he could think of things he never could before.

This encounter had a profound impact on him, far more than he initially thought.

"Regardless, this is a good thing for me!"

With this astonishing learning ability, he could save a lot of time. A powerful martial artist needed to learn various things, not just meditation and training.

With this ability, he could go much further!

Unconsciously, time passed quickly as he studied, and it was soon time for the first class.

The first class was the study of ancient script, which was a required course in all schools. In the Kunlun Era, many things were related to the super-ancient civilization, and to delve deeper into these studies, one needed to understand ancient script.

The teacher for the ancient script class soon entered. He was an old man in his sixties with white hair and beard. Because of the significant age difference, students called him "Old He" rather than "Teacher," much like the scholars of the Gregorian Era.

However, Chu Yunfan could sense a powerful life force from him, indicating that he was a martial arts expert. His perception had become much sharper after that dream.

Chu Yunfan thought to himself, "One cannot judge a person by their appearance. I didn't realize Old He was also a powerful martial arts expert in the past two years."

After the students stood up to greet him, the class began.

Old He didn't say much at the start. He wrote an ancient script character on the electronic blackboard.

"I haven't taught you this character yet. Guess what it means!" Old He said, his voice strong despite his aged appearance. "As a practitioner, learning ancient script is a basic skill. Many secret texts are written in ancient script, and if you don't know it, you won't be able to read them even if you find them in the Kunlun Realm."

"I've mentioned before that ancient script is pictographic, like our Chinese characters. Can you guess its meaning based on its appearance?"

Old He looked at the students and pointed to one. "Feng Deying, you tell me. You're the class president and do well in this subject!"

Feng Deying was a teenager around sixteen or seventeen, with a handsome face and a tall, slender build. He had a somewhat arrogant demeanor, indicating a good family background. He wore a deep blue martial arts uniform with gold trim, which looked very expensive.

He was the class president of Class 11, with a good family background and natural talent. He was already at the ninth level of the Physical Body Realm, and his handsome appearance made him a popular figure among the girls in the class.

Chu Yunfan looked at Gao Hongzhi, who was sitting next to him. Both were from wealthy families and had similar talents and cultivation levels, but their popularity was vastly different.

As the saying goes, no comparison, no hurt.

One was a popular class god, the other a fat jokester!

Seeing Feng Deying's confident demeanor, Gao Hongzhi just sneered and said, "Just showing off. Look at him, like a peacock spreading its feathers. What a show-off, who doesn't know it!"

Chu Yunfan couldn't help but find Gao Hongzhi's muttering amusing. Both of their cultivation levels were among the best in the class, and with Feng Deying's arrogant nature, their relationship was naturally strained.

"Old He, I think this is an onomatopoeic word because it's different from all the ancient script characters I've learned!" Feng Deying said.

Old He just smiled and looked at the others. "Does anyone else have a different opinion?"

"Old He, I don't think we need to ask. I don't know it, so how could they? My family hired a graduate from a university's ancient script program to teach me!" Feng Deying said arrogantly, not taking the other students seriously.

"Just showing off your money, as if others can't afford it!" Gao Hongzhi said. "If it weren't for private tutoring at home, he wouldn't be so confident!"

After a moment, Gao Hongzhi added, "But this character is indeed strange. I've never seen it before!"

He found it odd. He had also sought private tutoring from ancient script experts and knew almost all the commonly used characters and their meanings, but he was sure he had never seen this one.

"Jiang Siyu, what do you think?" Old He smiled and pointed to a girl.

The girl was around sixteen or seventeen, with delicate features and a slight baby fat. Her white martial arts uniform accentuated her tall, well-proportioned figure.

She was the vice president of Class 11 and the object of many boys' admiration, Jiang Siyu.

Jiang Siyu's background was a mystery in the class. She had transferred in last year and was only at the third level of the Physical Body Realm at the time. However, after a year, she was already at the ninth level.

Her talent had even caught the attention of the school's upper management, and she had admirers from other schools.

Jiang Siyu, Gao Hongzhi, and Feng Deying were the three students with the highest cultivation levels in Class 11, the face of the class. They were the main players in any inter-class competitions.

While many students were still striving for the upcoming division into literary and martial classes, these three were already certain to enter the martial class.

"Old He, I think this character is not an onomatopoeic word but a noun, possibly a type of creature. Based on its shape, it could be this!" Jiang Siyu stood up and said clearly.

At this, Old He's face showed a slight smile. "Any other opinions?"

Suddenly, Chu Yunfan raised his hand and stood up. "Old He, I know what this character means!"

Everyone's eyes turned to Chu Yunfan. Old He had clearly asked them to guess, and this character was beyond their current knowledge.

Yet Chu Yunfan claimed he knew.

"Oh? Then tell us!" Old He smiled.

"Vice President is right. This character represents a large and fierce bird!" Chu Yunfan said confidently.

If others had to guess, he knew the meaning of this character because the memories of the Dan Emperor in his mind were very clear. In that era, the script used was ancient script.

He recognized not just the common characters but even the more obscure ones.

"Nonsense!" Feng Deying shouted. "Chu Yunfan, don't pretend to know what you don't. If I don't know it, how could you?"

"Hey, I don't like that. Just because you don't know it, others can't know it? Old He hasn't even spoken yet, and you're jumping out like that!" Gao Hongzhi stood up, unable to stand Feng Deying's attitude.

"You..." Feng Deying was secretly angry, his eyes flashing with malice. He was furious that Chu Yunfan dared to imply that his explanation was wrong, and he didn't believe Chu Yunfan at all.

He had hired a private tutor to learn ancient script and knew the meanings of various characters very well. If he didn't recognize this character, how could someone from a poor family like Chu Yunfan?

"Enough, stop arguing!"
