In the dimly lit bedroom, Yagami Light tightly gripped the Death Note, suppressing his anger.

The three small-time thugs who died in the city during the day had focused L's investigation on this city. Compared to the fact that L had deduced his location in the Kanto region of Japan through a live TV broadcast just yesterday, Light was more afraid that a second Death Note might appear.

"Ryuk, is there only one Death Note?" Light sat in a chair and asked in a low voice.

The one truly in control was the Shinigami Ryuk, who wrote Yagami Light's name in the Death Note and killed him. The Shinigami, a unique and extraordinary being in this world, was the true obstacle for professionals plundering the fantasy world.

Whether it was Yagami Light or L, as long as he was willing, a bullet from two kilometers away could easily take their heads.

Even the Death Note, if he knew the original plot, he had at least ten opportunities to get it.

L walked to the computer, looking at the latest intelligence and muttering to himself. "Are you toying with me?" L said seriously.

"At least I've given you detailed data to verify your current suspicions. Moreover, you haven't truly realized the danger of the Death Note. If you did, you wouldn't be playing cat and mouse with him here." Yuan Xiao said with a cold laugh.

"The true danger..." L said, puzzled.

Feeling the killing intent and determination, L nodded. He realized he had underestimated Kira. Collaborating with this mysterious person was the best choice for now. At least, apart from his life being threatened, he found no disadvantage to himself.
