Hail couldn't help but laugh at these words, and then he couldn't hold back, bursting into laughter.

"Ha... Father, I call you father one last time."

"Jor-El."

"I was able to remain undiscovered for so long because I truly regarded you as my father and truly wanted to save Krypton."

"As long as I successfully dominate Krypton, I can fully open the Science Council and work with Father to study Krypton's core, which might solve the problem of Krypton's destruction."

"But all of this requires that I survive."

"You saw the arrogance in my heart, saw my ambition, but didn't you see my selfishness?"

"It wasn't you who sent me into space, but I who made you send me into space."

"Now that I am on this ship, Krypton must have already been destroyed."

"I have won, Jor-El."

Jor-El's face turned bleak, just as Hail said, Krypton had already been destroyed.

One year and one month after the ship left Krypton, Krypton exploded and was destroyed. When Jor-El detected Krypton's explosion, he still couldn't believe it.

If he were not just a replicated consciousness program, he would have had the impulse to refuse the original Jor-El's order to "send the ship into deep space away from the yellow sun, letting Hail die in his sleep" and drive the ship back to Krypton to see for himself.

Even though it would have been too late.

Even in this moment of conversation, learning about Krypton's explosion and Hail's thoughts, he actually felt that perhaps Hail was right. Replacing Krypton's upper echelons and fully opening the Science Council might have prevented Krypton's destruction.

But it was all too late.

His consciousness program was locked by the original Jor-El at the ship's launch, making any change impossible.

This was Jor-El's decision at the time.

He decided to exile his son, letting the void of space kill him.

This was his last act of kindness as a father.

Just as Hail regarded Jor-El as his true father, Jor-El regarded Hail as his son, with genuine and sincere feelings on both sides.

But this couldn't stop Jor-El from trying to kill Hail, nor could it stop Hail from wanting to dominate Krypton and become its god.

"I know, Hail, you are searching for the yellow sun, you want to awaken the true power of Kryptonians."

"Hail, my child, I have won."

"The ship has no energy left, there is no yellow sun nearby, I will control the Dawn System, you have nowhere to run, and you can't control the ship. You will be buried in this deep space."

"Continuing to sleep in the cryo-chamber, painlessly until death, is your final resting place."

Jor-El suddenly understood why he had decided to kill Hail at the time.

Hail's ambition would eventually destroy himself and everything around him.

Hail, your ambition is overflowing.

"So, do you know why the proposal to separate the ship's system from the life support cryo-chamber was made!"

"It was to prevent the AI system from completely controlling the lives on board."

"Do you really think it was to wake the Kryptonians on board at the last moment and decide the ship's course?"

Hail laughed coldly.

When he realized his father was investigating him, he had already made preparations.

But his preparations were not to struggle on Krypton.

Krypton's destruction was inevitable.

Hail had done his best to save it, but if it couldn't be saved, it couldn't be saved. However, his father's investigation and obstruction truly hurt him.

Hail already knew that in Jor-El's mind, he was an unrepentant ambitious person, a terrifying terrorist.

In Jor-El's genes, the rules of the upper class were already deeply ingrained, unbreakable on Krypton.

He had no way to defy them, as they influenced his entire life from the genetic level.

He lacked the courage to break them.

All he had was the selfish act of stealing the Codex of Life and injecting it into his future son, Clark Kent, to let his son decide whether to rebuild Krypton's future.

He entrusted everything to his son raised by humans.

He entrusted everything to an infant.

As for the former Krypton, he would use the rigid class system, the corruption of the upper echelons, and his unaccepted investigation of the core to mask his selfish heart.

In the end, any class system becomes rigid, and there are always corrupt upper echelons.

Ironically, by stealing the Codex of Life and holding Krypton's future in his hands, he became the greatest corruptor.

Letting all Kryptonians die to fulfill Superman's noble heart in protecting Earth.

Jor-El fulfilled his son's destiny.

Hail, combining the future and his ten years with Jor-El, saw his actions as a Kryptonian elite and the deep-seated cowardice and selfishness in his heart, feeling profound sorrow.

Even if Jor-El and Zod had killed the Kryptonian upper echelons, evacuated many people, and started researching Krypton's core in time, it would have been better than following the Kryptonian Council's rules.

But unfortunately, he was too disappointing.

In comparison, Zod was almost a hero to the Kryptonians.

And Jor-El, as a respected scientist among the Kryptonian upper echelons, lived up to his reputation.

"So, you proposed this plan."

"You foresaw this situation from the beginning?"

"Your true goal was to leave Krypton before it exploded."

Jor-El was silent, then shook his head.

"It's useless, even if you wake up, you can't give orders to the ship."

"Go to sleep, my son."

Jor-El closed his eyes in pain.

Killing his adopted son was a difficult thing to do.

The complexity of human nature was vividly displayed in Jor-El.

"I told you, I have won."

"Jor-El, I enjoyed talking to you."

Hail laughed loudly, sitting in the steel chair, surrounded by the 360-degree starry sky, his laughter echoing.

Unable to save Krypton or become its god, he expressed his regret.

But leaving Krypton and not dying was his greatest goal.

Under Jor-El's pitying gaze.

"Um... ah..."

Hail suddenly clenched his right fist and slammed his thumb joint into his stomach, his face contorted, mouth open, drooling, his throat convulsing from nausea.

His right thumb joint pressed hard into his stomach, pushing his abdominal muscles inward, forcing his stomach up to his chest, throat, and tonsils, his face turning red from the strain.

"Cough... cough... cough..."

Hail vomited a white, bubble-like substance from his mouth, which fell to the floor of the control room.
