On The Way To The Capital

Led by the hand by Tsuyuha,

we advanced towards the capital, and the sound of battle could be heard nearby.

「Someone is being attacked! I must protect them!」 (Tsuyuha)

Tsuyuha hurried in the

direction of the sound.

Led by the hand, I went along

quietly.

I slowly came to feel

something threatening. This feeling, it's not a monster. It's not a person

either. Coming out from between the countless trees, we arrived at an open

space.

There were three young

adventurers there. They were uninjured, fortunately.

「It's alright now. I will protect you. Get behind me.」 (Tsuyuha)

Releasing my hand, Tsuyuha

went ahead.

「Th, this is weird! The monster is recovering after we

attack it!」 (Adventurer)

「Healing? I've never heard of a monster doing that.」 (Tsuyuha)

The enemy had the appearance

of a hyena.

It bore its fangs, afflicted

by madness. The three adventurers fell back. Tsuyuha prepared her katana,

slicing at the enemy that sprung forward.

The sword cleaved the earth

in two.

As the adventurer said, the

cut pieces came together, returning to their original form.

「It seems to be true.」 (Tsuyuha)

「...That's a demon.」 (Izayoi)

「Demon? Like the old demons that the hero defeated?」 (Tsuyuha)

「Yes, that demon. Demons regenerate. Magic is used

every time it heals, so it has to be beaten until it runs out of magic... It's

a pain so you do it.」 (Izayoi)

「Putting aside why it's here, it is a demon. It should

be defeated quickly.」 (Tsuyuha)

「...What do you mean?」 (Izayoi)

「Just watch.」 (Tsuyuha)

Tsuyuha closed her eyes and

prepared. Is she done concentrating?

While she did so, a different

kind of energy began to pour out, dying her katana with blue light. What is

this. The feeling is different from anything I've felt before, and it's not

Is this something only

The hyena-shaped demon

charged at Tsuyuha.

She was faster than she was

before.

The demon was bisected. From

the cut, it was wrapped in blue light. The light eroded the demon, leaving no

trace of it behind.

「The demon has been defeated. Time for everyone to go

home.」 (Tsuyuha)

「Just go home already! It would be bad if anything

else happened!」 (Tsuyuha)

「Al, alright.」 (Adventurer)

The three adventurers

reluctantly went home.

「Well, time for me to go too. Thanks.」 (Izayoi)

Tsuyuha grabbed my arm as I

said so.

「Wait a minute! I'll protect you. Let's go together.」 (Tsuyuha)

「...Those adventurers were able to go home, why can't

「They're fine because they're adventurers. They

「I'm an adventurer too though.」 (Izayoi)

「There's a small girl you know! Isn't it dangerous?

stopped the intense battle, and they left without saying anything. It was like

「Y, yeah.」 (Izayoi)

And I have inherited that power.」 (Tsuyuha)

Pointing her ears sharply,

she pushed out her flat chest, and flourished her long coat.

protect.」 (Tsuyuha)

「This is the capital.」 (Tsuyuha)

We arrived at the capital

with the sun high in the sky. There are various things I have to do.

around with this girl.

「No way! Going alone is scary!」 (Tsuyuha)
