Zhou Hao came out of the cave, feeling extremely troubled. The old dog Qian actually wanted him to help catch live people for a ritual. Not only would he be dead if anyone found out, but he also couldn't bring himself to harm those innocent people.
"What should I do now? If I don't bring the people, this old dog will definitely come after me for the ritual!"
He looked troubled as he walked down the mountain, planning to think of a solution slowly.
"Alright, it's better for others to die than for me to die. Besides, if I can catch some of my old enemies who bullied me before, I can take revenge and save myself. That's what I'll do!"
Zhou Hao thought of a solution and was about to go down the mountain to see if he could catch one or two of his old enemies when a voice suddenly shouted from behind.
"Zhou Hao, stop right there!"
Zhou Hao turned around and saw a man standing behind him, who looked somewhat like Qian Qi, but was a bit fatter. The man was Qian Jiu, Qian Qi's brother, who usually treated Zhou Hao with arrogance and condescension.
"Master Jiu, is there something you need?" Zhou Hao was somewhat impatient, but he didn't dare offend this second-generation rich kid due to his fear of Elder Qian, so he turned around and asked with forced patience.
"What kind of attitude is this? What? Have you been itching for a beating these past few days? Humph, you dog, to speak to me like this, are you asking for death!"
Zhou Hao's forehead veins throbbed as he suppressed his anger and asked, "If Master Jiu has nothing else, I need to go and do something important for Elder Qian, so I'll take my leave."
"Wait! Where have you been these past few days? Didn't my brother just go to find you on Master's orders? Where is he?"
Hearing the question, Zhou Hao raised an eyebrow and thought to himself: I've already killed him. Now that Qian Jiu is asking for him, even if I can avoid it for a while, he will eventually find out that Qian Qi is missing. When he suspects me and reports it to Elder Qian, given Elder Qian's suspicious and ruthless nature, he will likely kill me to vent his anger, even if he can't be sure it was me. Humph, since it's like this, I might as well go all the way and kill you too! Then no one will trouble me in the future.
After making up his mind, Zhou Hao immediately changed his expression, pretending to be troubled and stammered, "Master Jiu, Seventh Master didn't want me to tell you where he is. If I reveal his whereabouts, he won't let me off. Please be lenient and don't make it hard for me."
Qian Jiu's face immediately changed, and he whispered, "Could it be that my brother went to see Xiaoyun privately?"
Then Qian Jiu glared at Zhou Hao with a fierce look and threatened, "Speak! Did my brother go to see Xiaoyun? Where are they? Speak up, or I'll cut out your tongue, you little dog, so you can't speak again!"
Qian Jiu and Qian Qi not only looked alike but also had similar tastes, both falling for a junior disciple named Xiaoyun. To win her favor, the two brothers, who were originally close, were almost at odds.
Now, with Zhou Hao's intentional provocation, his jealousy was immediately aroused.
Seeing that the time was right, Zhou Hao said to him, "Seventh Master said he had something to give Xiaoyun and asked her to meet at the Sunset Pavilion down the mountain. That's all I know."
Qian Jiu, hearing this, lost his temper and shouted, "So, Qian Qi, you dare to pursue my beloved behind my back! Even if you're my brother, I won't let you off this time!"
Watching Qian Jiu rush down the mountain in a rage, Zhou Hao's eyes glinted coldly, and he followed down a side path with a sneer.
When Qian Jiu angrily arrived at the Sunset Pavilion, he saw that it was empty. He was furious and shouted, "You damn Zhou Hao, to dare play tricks on me! When I get back, I'll break your legs and cut out your tongue to drink with wine!"
"Master Jiu, you're looking for Qian Qi, right? Let me do you a favor and send you down to meet your brother!" Before Zhou Hao finished speaking, he moved like a sleek leopard, pouncing forward.
Fast!
Too fast, like a bolt of lightning!
Before Qian Jiu could react, he felt a dark shadow and a terrifying force hit his abdomen. He let out a painful groan and was thrown back, landing heavily on the ground, his whole body aching as if his bones were shattered.
"If you dare to kill me, my great-uncle won't let you off!" Qian Jiu was completely shocked and panicked. For the first time, he felt that Zhou Hao, whom he had always bullied, was so terrifying. He realized that Zhou Hao was going to kill him and tried to threaten him to make him hesitate.
"Who will tell him that I killed you when you're dead? Don't forget, I'm worthless in your eyes. How could I kill you? No one would believe it!" Zhou Hao's face was cold as he slowly approached, his aura of killing intent making Qian Jiu's heart race, and he couldn't help but crawl backward.
"How did you suddenly become so terrifying! Zhou Hao, don't be reckless. If you kill me, my great-uncle will make you pay! Why don't you let me go, and I promise I won't shout at you or order you around anymore. I'll keep today's secret and even help you persuade my great-uncle to give you your freedom!"
Qian Jiu tried to threaten and bribe him while retreating, hoping to find a chance to escape.
"Ha ha ha, what a joke! I killed your brother Qian Qi. If I let you go today, I'll be sentencing myself to death. I'm not that stupid! Qian Jiu, it's time to pay for what you owe me!"
Zhou Hao didn't waste any more words, charging forward like a fierce tiger, his fist whistling through the air.
Qian Jiu had no choice but to face him, but although his cultivation was the same as Zhou Hao's, his true essence was far less profound, and he was already injured. He let out a scream and was thrown back, his arm broken, and he rolled on the ground in agony.
"Don't worry, I won't let you die so easily!" Zhou Hao rushed forward and pinned him down, grabbing his other arm and using all his strength to crush it into pieces, completely disabling it!
Qian Jiu was in excruciating pain, almost passing out.
But the pain wasn't over. Zhou Hao pulled out a sharp dagger and quickly slashed at his face. Hearing his agonized screams, Zhou Hao felt no sympathy or pity. In this world of the strong preying on the weak, survival was the only truth.
"Don't blame me for being ruthless. This is all because of you and your grandfather! Your grandfather is heartless, making me catch live people for his rituals. You might as well make a sacrifice and do a good deed before you die! Use your life to save another innocent one!"
Under Zhou Hao's cruel methods, Qian Jiu couldn't bear the pain of being cut piece by piece and screamed hoarsely, gradually losing consciousness.
"Zhou Hao! What are you, a traitorous bastard, doing?!"
At this moment, two people, one tall and one short, walked up from the road below. The tall one, seeing what Zhou Hao was doing, pointed at him with fury.
Zhou Hao looked up, his eyes flashing with a dangerous light. Without hesitation, he launched a fierce, lightning-fast attack like a hungry beast on its prey.
The cold light in his hand sliced through the air, and a jet of blood splattered, blooming in the air like a beautiful, eerie flower.
A head filled with shock and fear, eyes wide open, rolled on the ground, grotesque and terrifying!
This person was a friend of Qian Qi and Qian Jiu, often mixing with them and doing bad deeds. Zhou Hao had also suffered a lot from him. Today, unexpectedly, he was on a mission for an elder, bringing a child down the mountain to buy goods, and happened to see Zhou Hao kill Qian Jiu. Without hesitation, Zhou Hao struck him down.
Zhou Hao never did things half-heartedly, especially after being buried alive once. He understood the cruelty of the world and knew that to survive, he had to be ruthless and use any means necessary!
His cold gaze fell on the child, who was only thirteen or fourteen, pale and delicate but clearly malnourished. The child was clearly terrified by Zhou Hao's cruel actions and, upon meeting his cold, murderous eyes, threw off the goods on his small frame and knelt down, repeatedly kowtowing to Zhou Hao.
Zhou Hao recognized him, having seen him a few times before. He knew the child was also an outer disciple, like him, given to others to serve. He said to the boy, "Get up, I won't kill you. But don't reveal a word about today, or don't blame me for being merciless!"
The child continued to kowtow, saying nothing. Zhou Hao raised an eyebrow, looking at him curiously and asked, "I said I won't kill you, why don't you get up? Is kowtowing so satisfying?"
He thought the child might have been scared into a stupor.
Just as he was about to help the child up, the boy suddenly straightened up, his eyes flashing with determination, and said something that surprised Zhou Hao greatly.
