Chapter 83

—————Today's third update, please recommend, please collect, please click——————

The time has come to June 5th, the highly anticipated "Meteor Butterfly Sword" is about to air tonight! This drama, which features a lineup of popular idols such as Shun Oguri, Kenichi Matsuyama, Maki Horikita, and Tatsuya Fujiwara, has been closely watched during its production. The recent 'Tatsuya Fujiwara contract dispute' has further heightened the attention from countless industry professionals and fans!

NHK has spared no expense in promoting this drama, not only with large-scale daily advertisements but also by making the unprecedented decision to air it from Monday to Wednesday each week, with two episodes per day! This is not only a first for NHK but also a groundbreaking move domestically. The two rival networks, Fuji TV and Tokyo TV, have also reached the climax of their respective martial arts dramas. Fuji TV's "Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils" is about to feature the intense battle at Shaolin Temple, the most thrilling part of the series. Coincidentally, Tokyo TV's "The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber" is also nearing its conclusion, with the final outcome still uncertain, though some hints may be revealed tonight!

For this reason, the famous 2CH forum has even set up a dedicated thread to discuss the exciting competition among the three networks.

"Should I watch 'Meteor Butterfly Sword' or 'Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils' today?"

"The battle at Shaolin Temple in 'Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils' is tonight, I want to know if Xiao Feng can defeat Murong Fu!"

"What the previous poster said makes sense, but I'm looking forward to our country's production of 'Meteor Butterfly Sword'!"

"You're right, 'Meteor Butterfly Sword' has both the script and actors from our country... of course, we should support our own people!"

"I'm a fan of Mr. Yamada, ever since I saw his cool outfit in the trailer, I've already fallen in love with this drama!"

"Fan of Mr. Shun signing in!"

"Fan of Maki signing in..."

"Fan of AKB48 signing in!"

"Um... you're being naughty, upstairs..."

It's 7:30 PM, and many viewers are waiting in front of their TVs, with some even opening both their TVs and computers to watch two dramas simultaneously! In Akihabara, in the office of Shigeru Kōkawa, Shigeru Kōkawa, Maki Horikita, Tatsuya Fujiwara, and Nana Kitade are eagerly watching a newly installed LCD TV. Manami Hoshino, Tomomi Itano, and Mariko Shinoda have returned to their residence to watch the drama with the AKB48 members!

"It's about to start..." Nana Kitade is both nervous and excited. This is her first very important drama as the lead actress, and she has high expectations for it. Maki Horikita gently pats her shoulder, signaling her to relax. Nana Kitade looks at her gratefully.

"Can't... I need to go to the bathroom..." Nana Kitade says.

Shigeru Kōkawa chuckles, "Be careful, there might be something else in the bathroom..."

Nana Kitade's determined figure trembles slightly but she still walks out. However, she returns to the office shortly after... Tatsuya Fujiwara and Maki Horikita look at her with surprise as her face is slightly red.

"Sorry... Maki, can you come with me?"

Without a word, Maki Horikita follows Nana Kitade to the bathroom...

.....................

On the other side, the AKB48 A-team members gather, discussing non-stop, mostly about the anticipation of Mariko Shinoda's role.

"Here she comes, here she comes..." Nanami Miyashita screams, and the girls in the room immediately fix their eyes on the TV.

"But the opening song is really good, it's amazing... did Mr. Kōkawa compose it?" Mai Ōshima asks.

Tomomi Itano nods slightly, and Mai Ōshima's face shows a look of admiration.

Mariko Shinoda, dressed in red, is seen chatting with many gamblers... The girls give her a strange look, and Mariko Shinoda's face turns slightly red.

At the same time, many fans online are also praising the song...

"If we're talking about the song, I think this one is much better than the two other dramas..."

"I completely agree, although the singer of 'Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils' is a Chinese diva I really like... I still have to vote for this song!"

As the plot progresses, especially with the appearance of the three major killers played by Shun Oguri, Tatsuya Fujiwara, and Haruma Miura, the internet is buzzing. Many female fans finally see their long-awaited idols, and the idols' outfits do not disappoint!

At the same time, on the real-time ratings chart, "Meteor Butterfly Sword" has already approached 24%, while the current leader, Fuji TV's "Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils," has reached 29%! However, keen observers can see that the strong momentum of "Meteor Butterfly Sword" is just beginning!

At NHK headquarters, the staff hands the newly released ratings to their boss, the station director, Nakazawa Ueno.

"Good, very good... This month has been quite stifling. Now we finally have a chance to breathe! Keep monitoring!" Nakazawa Ueno slams the table with the ratings sheet!

Compared to the elation of NHK's top management, the mood at Fuji TV's top management is very unpleasant!

"How can this be?! It's only their first day, and their ratings are almost catching up to ours?!" The director of Fuji TV looks gloomily at his subordinates.

All the Fuji TV staff keep their heads down, knowing that speaking up now would be suicidal!

"Alright, you can leave! Keep monitoring!"

In Akihabara, when the girls see Tatsuya Fujiwara and others appear, the scene erupts with cheers...

"Wow, Mr. Yamada is so handsome... cool, ruthless... truly a role model for men!" Mai Ōshima exclaims dramatically.

"Don't be silly... Mr. Shun is the role model for men... mature, calm, elegant!" Tomomi Itano, who often argues with Mai Ōshima, retorts.

"You two shut up and watch the show properly," Aya Orimoto scolds, and the two girls quickly close their mouths, but their eyes continue to glare at each other fiercely!
