Chu Ci raised her eyes to meet his, her butterfly like eyelashes flickered within a slight flash in it which had looked like it was obedient from the side.

The small face brought along some slight paleness and she had a weak look on her face, it really was something that looked cute and adorable.

Seeing how obediently she had taken her medicine, a pair of bright shining eyes turned to look up at her, really carefully opening up her mouth to speak to the older nurse, “Sister nurse, is elder brother still in the hospital as of right now?”

Elder brother?

The young nurse was taken aback by her words a little, then immediately realized the person whom Chu Ci had mentioned would most probably be Lu Jin.

Her facial expression was a little hesitant in terms of wanting to explain more about it. It was obvious knowing the way Chu Ci’s heart condition acted up this time, she was afraid that this pair of brother and sister relationship wasn’t all too good.

“He is currently in the hospital, but I’ve no idea whether the Director’s busy……”

Looking at the pair of eyes that were brightly staring at her slowly dimmed down all the way, the junior nurse’s heart could not help but feel soft under the look of the younger girl’s stare. She bent down to a squat and asked, “How about I bring you over to see how it’s like? We can quietly go over, if Director Lu isn’t busy then we could have you go over and say a few words or two to Director Lu, but you must keep in mind that you are not allowed to have your emotions fluctuate too much, is that alright?”

Chu Ci’s eyes lit up upon hearing the news, her thin white fingertips subconsciously pulled onto the corner of the junior nurse’s uniform, “Thank you, sister nurse.”

The little girl was really cute up to no extent, thus, that junior nurse could not stop herself and raised her hand to rub Chu Ci’s hair a little.

Helping the little girl in wearing some good outing clothes, they made their way towards Lu Jin’s office after.

The young nurse felt frightened, and subconsciously moved Chu Ci behind her. Today’s cardiac surgery office was not as quiet as it used to be. There were quarrels, sounds of falling objects, and a woman crying hoarsely.

She guarded her and asked a few acquaintances who were hurriedly taking refuge, “What’s going on here?”

The one who was questioned was also a nurse. She first glanced at Chu Ci with a little embarrassment, then pursed the corners of her lips, “You should take the patient back soon. When the patient came, she was already in a critical condition and there were no doctors available. Some people are making a scene in the emergency ward.”

“Why are they making a scene?”

The nurse glanced at Chu Ci again, and finally said in a low voice.

“That day, in the ambulance, the family members came and insisted that it was because of Director Lu that the rescue time was delayed. During that time, the ambulances were all at the station, and the first responders left immediately. Where was the delay? The family just didn’t want to pay the medical bills and wanted the hospital to lose money. What happened to the patient was because of a girl who didn’t see him at home, or the neighbor called the ambulance.The family did not follow the ambulance, and the expenses were still paid by the hospital. It hasn’t been settled yet. Now the family members looked at the medical bills and don’t know which “good-hearted passer-by” reported the incident. They refused to initiate payment

The young nurse’s brows frowned, “The director is just letting them mess around?”

“It was just discovered that they have entered. The security has just arrived. It is assumed that the matter will be dealt with soon. You should take the patient back to the room quickly.”

It is indeed not suitable for Chu Ci to stay longer, the young nurse nodded quickly.

Chu Ci’s eyes drooped slightly, and the bottom of her eyes was stained with two unknown emotions, “I am causing trouble for my brother and the hospital, right?”

The little girl’s mood was two points low, and the young nurse didn’t know what to say. After all, no matter what the cause of the delay was, and what hindered the ambulance, it shouldn’t be right for her to say whether this matter was her fault, right?

“Shall we go back first? We will come back to see Director Lu later.”
