I never knew that I could fall in love at first sight.

"Kyoka, look. I thought you might like this."

"Again, Yuma, you like RPGs, don't you? I prefer the breeding games you play in VR."

"Well, that's why... it's better to see it. I want you to at least watch the promo."

That was the beginning.

Before me spread a vast land and a streetscape that blended Eastern and Western styles. Then, there were the alluring monsters walking around everywhere.

According to the promotional video displayed in hologram, these monsters were called Divine Beasts, and the game's setting was a world where people had lived alongside these Divine Beasts.

The game had one unique feature.

"One Divine Beast is guaranteed to be a partner for each player."

A game where you grow and journey with a Divine Beast.

A game where you can restore Divine Beasts that have turned into evil beasts due to negative emotions, and even heal the Demon King to eventually bring them back to the side of humans. A story about restoring peace.

"Divine Beast Village Online"

I was captivated by the visual beauty.

This must be what they call love at first sight.

The text "An RPG to Walk Together with You" flowed along with the game title, and the video ended. I was completely enchanted by the PV, which felt like reading a fairy tale, and reluctantly agreed to buy the game with my childhood friend.

And now, on the first night of summer vacation... I am about to embark on my journey into that world for the first time.

I put on the headset and lie down on the bed. I'm all set. I've had water, and I've used the bathroom.

Time flows about four times faster in that world, so I'll definitely be able to experience a full day there, surrounded by fluffy creatures!

"Wait for me, my partner!"

What kind of creature will it be? With that excitement, I start the game.

--- Do you want to watch the promotional video?

I love that PV.

Without hesitation, I answer yes.

Then, the content I saw in the hologram expands around me, this time with me at the center, in a fairy tale-like world.
