“Yes, Young Master.” Butler Lin was curious again but didn’t ask any further questions and agreed.
Luo Zhan: “Send me the ingredients they used as well. I’ll gather the same ingredients and have the person delivering the food take it away1.”
“Is there anything else that needs special attention?”
“Mm.” Luo Zhan responded, “First, don’t have the person who comes knock on the door. Call me when they’re at the door. Second, the taste of this lunch should be average. Don’t make the lunch high quality.”
Butler Lin agreed, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.
After explaining everything, Luo Zhan meticulously ran through the plan again from the beginning, making sure there was nothing wrong before he washed his hands and walked out of the bathroom.
After passing through the hallway between the bedrooms, Luo Zhan walked into the living room and saw Tang Ran bent over in the kitchen, rummaging for something.
Luo Zhan walked over: “What are you looking for?”
“I clearly remember Granny had put it here….” She turned her back to him and sounded like she was mumbling in a small voice to herself.
Luo Zhan asked, “Want me to help you-“
“Ah, found it.” The little girl turned around with something clutched in her hands. Because she was too happy, she wasn’t paying attention and bumped right into Luo Zhan’s arms.
Luo Zhan was fine, but Tang Ran, the smaller person, knocked right into his chest. Her forehead hurt, and she stumbled back a step, and Luo Zhan promptly reached out to protect her.
“Are you okay?” When she finally stood steady, Luo Zhan lowered his eyes and asked.
“No, no problem,” Tang Ran rubbed her forehead in embarrassment, “I didn’t notice you had walked behind me.”
Luo Zhan helplessly raised his hand to touch the girl’s slightly reddened forehead, “What were you looking for?”
“This!”
Tang Ran lifted the object in her hand up and shook it.
“……”
Luo Zhan’s expression suddenly stagnated.
A few seconds later, looking at the pink apron in the little girl’s hand, Luo Zhan lightly narrowed his eyes.
“Why were you looking for this for?”
“For you to wear.” Tang Ran curved the corners of her eyes and smiled, not knowing in the slightest that in the darkness she couldn’t see, a certain person’s expression had gotten dangerously dark. “I wanted to learn how to cook from Granny before, and she had specifically bought this for me.”
Luo Zhan looked at the pink apron with a chilly expression, “I won’t wear it.”
Tang Ran was slightly stunned, “Why?”
Luo Zhan was merciless, “Ugly.”
The little girl’s cheerful expression stilled, then slowly dimmed.
“Is it really ugly? Granny said it was quite nice at that time…. Although I couldn’t learn how to cook because I couldn’t see when the food was cooked, I still kept it.”
Her voice was getting lower and lower, and her head followed.
If those eyes could see, they would be as dull as the night sky without stars.
Maybe even drizzling with light rain.
Luo Zhan mentally sighed.
He heard himself reluctantly and helplessly open his mouth: “Give it to me….. I’ll wear it.”
She was stunned and tilted her face up slightly.
After two or three seconds, the corners of her eyes re-curved down, “Then I’ll help you tie it.”
“……”
Looking at her delicate face recover its brightness, Luo Zhan sighed as the corner of his lips turned into a helpless smile, “Okay, you can do it.”
The pink apron was put around a cooperating Luo Zhan, and the strings on both sides were held in the palm of the girl with her eyes closed and carefully wrapped it around Luo Zhan’s waist.
The casual, loose white shirt was tightened by the strings, and his lean waist and abdomen was pressed against the thin white shirt.
Luo Zhan’s back was turned to Tang Ran.
However, he could still feel her hand cautiously tying the apron behind him.
“Luoluo, can I tie it into a bow? I don’t know how to do anything else.” She had worked for a while and chattered earnestly, not even paying attention to what she had called him.
“……”
Luo Zhan didn’t correct her, only looking at the refrigerator door that was vaguely reflecting the small shadow behind him.
After staring for a moment, he slightly lowered his eyes and smiled.
“Whatever you want.”
“……”

After arranging it according to Luo Zhan’s request, Butler Lin thought it through and decided to personally deliver the meal.
He immediately prepared to depart from the Luo residence. Just before he hurriedly left, he encountered Luo Xiu who was staying at home these days.
“Eldest Young Master.” Butler Lin respectfully greeted.
“Butler Lin, don’t be polite. Just call me Luo Xiu, like Grandpa does.” Luo Xiu stopped and smiled gently, “Are you preparing to go out?”
“Yes,” Butler Lin hesitated. Thinking that Luo Zhan didn’t order him to hide it, he told the truth, “Youngest Young Master asked for a meal to be delivered to an address, saying he wanted to….”
Butler Lin said a few simple sentences, going into full detail about Luo Zhan’s strange requests.
Luo Xiu was originally ready to perfunctorily respond then leave. When he heard the words, his eyes stopped. After a moment, he turned sideways and smiled faintly, “What address?”
Butler Lin was Mr. Luo’s trusted aide and knew the real situation between the two brothers, so he didn’t avoid the subject and told Luo Xiu the address.
Luo Xiu listened to him without batting an eyelid, and scanned it over. When he saw the address that coincided with what he expected, the smile in his eyes deepened.
“Then, Butler Lin, hurry over.” Luo Xiu walked two steps, suddenly thought of something, then stopped and turned around again, “Butler Lin, would you bring a message to my younger brother?”
“Of course”
“If he’s still interested, the thing that we didn’t finish talking about before, then come and talk to me before today’s over.”
Butler Lin was taken aback, but still nodded his head, “Okay.”
“……”
An hour later.
After taking the square layered antique wood lunch box from the private chef’s restaurant and leaving, Butler Lin used the address and security code Luo Zhan gave him and walked into an unfamiliar apartment building.
The destination was the middle apartment on the 12th floor.
When he arrived outside the rather ordinary looking door, Butler Lin gave Luo Zhan a call.
After a few rings, the call was disconnected.
Butler Lin waited patiently for more than ten seconds, and the apartment door opened in front of him.
It was a familiar handsome and cold white face.
Butler Lin smiled: “Young Master, the lunch you wanted….”
The music screeched to a halt.
Behind the door, it was still the cold and lazy Young Master Luo.
The only difference was that he was wearing an apron over his white shirt.
A pink apron.
A Hello fucking Kitty apron.

The author has something to say.
Butler Lin: I was extremely frightened at that moment
I was soo obsessed with hello kitty as a kid man. I had like three bags, six stuffed animals, so many shirts, a mirror, a wallet, a freaking RADIO and SO many random knick knacks. Trying to remember all the HK things I had took me down memory lane man :'(
Sorry for being slightly late! I usually schedule the posts the Sunday before but I was genuinely too busy this weekend.
1 I realize this sounds confusing. He wants to know exactly what the chef used so he can have them take it away, pretending he ‘used’ it to actually cook.
