Don’t Think Of Interrupting My Study Chapter 1.2 – High School Sophomore Mid-term Exam (2)

Nan Xiangwan finally opened her eyes, but the sight that caught her eyes was not airplane cabin.

The white clock, the red national flag, the dark green blackboard, the yellow school desk, and the school uniform on her body. Compared to the airplane cabin, everything in front of her eyes right now is no stranger. This is the classroom in her high school, a place she will never forget in her life. It was the place she studied very hard day and night until she finally admitted to Guanghua University.

She couldn’t wait to say hello to her classmates. She hadn’t seen them for many years. She missed them very much. Some of them was admitted to Guanghua University and continued to be her classmates.

Nan Xiangwan looked forward to this reunion happily and turned back with joy, only to realize that people around her were so strange.

The bell had already rang but no one took out their books. Two boys in the front left sat face to face and lay something on their laps, stretching out their arms from time to time. They turned out to be playing chess. The girl on the other side of the aisle was pouting her mouth and was concentrating on sticking fake eyelashes in front of the mirror. The back seat was empty. The boys in the last row were lying on the table, playing tabletop basketball and threw the rope-tied basketball into the basket one by one.

Just when Nan Xiangwan felt confused, the basketball boy glanced at her, shouted exaggerattedly with a suprised look on his face, “Why are you here? Shouldn’t you be in the Rocket class?”

Nan Xiangwan suddenly realized, no wonder she felt something was wrong. How could she was in a group of people she doesn’t know, turns out this is not her class!

Thinking of this, Nan Xiangwan immediately got up. Her movements were clean and neat, as if staying any longer was a torment. She strode towards the door, causing the students on both sides of ailes look at her.

After going out of the class, Nan Xiangwan almost ran into someone.

A teacher-like person holding the papers, looked at Nan Xiangwan in confusion. “Where are you going?”

“Back to my class.” Nan Xiangwan didn’t even think about it, as if in hurry to chase a plane that about to take off.

The teacher laughed out loud. “Why go back to your class? Isn’t this your class? Did you just woke up?”

“HAHAHA…” The classmates laughed out loud in the classroom. The student who had just woken up didn’t know what happened, so he asked the classmate next to him. When the other classmates finished laughing, his laugher suddenly abrupt, causing the students to laugh again.

Nan Xiangwan couldn’t care of this. She looked back at the nameplate on the wall in panic. It was not the three words “Rocket Class (火箭班)” written on it but an extremely strange name – Disciplinary Class.

The teacher urged her, “Go back, the bell is already ringing.”

Nan Xiangwan was so anxious that she was about to cry. She begged the teacher bitterly, “I’m really not in this class.”

“Your name is Nan Xiangwan, right?” The teacher showed her the list of student’s name. Her name indeed is in the disciplinary class and the ranking is quite high. Regardless, she stubbornly turned the list to the page of Rocket class. “Liu Yubai, Chen Shiyun, Wang Xiang…” Every name is so familiar, but she couldn’t found her own name in this list of familiar names.

Nan Xiangwan had to admit. “Yes, I was not in Rocket class when i was first assigned. But later i checked the exam paper and found that the score was wrong. With my grades, i definitely can get into Rocket class. Teacher, you have to believe me. We can check the exam paper if you don’t believe.”

Hearing this, the teacher smiled helplessly. “I don’t know how many times I’ve heard this. Everyone said that they get the wrong grade. Finally looked at the exam paper again, yet didn’t shut up. Because of this, the school refused to check the exam paper long ago. It’s all in vain. You, it’s good to have this kind of mind, however, gold will always shine. Tell me, there are so many exams in the future. It’s impossible to get the wrong grades everytime, right?” The teacher talked more and more passionately. Finally she ended with a smile, as if she could fly into the sky.

Nan Xiangwan still couldn’t accept it. She obviously can enter Rocket class, why shoud she be wronged here. But apart from ‘check the paper again’, she couldn’t find a strong evidence.

Right!

Nan Xiangwan suddenly thought of something. She quickly turned back to the classroom, grabbed the boy sitting in the last row, and focibly dragged him to the teacher. There is mist in her eyes, but it look very firm.

She raised her head and deliberately raised her tone to cover up the tremor in her voice. “You also think I should be in Rocket class, right?

The boy rolled his eyes, slowly pulled back his school’s uniform jacket that had fallen off his shoulder and said disdainfully, “Fool, i am mocking you. Who made you said that you are in Rocket class everyday. Strange, can’t you tell? Is your Chinese taught by physical education (PE) teacher?”

The teacher standing on the podium immediately changed her expression and said to the boy. “Lin Xiaoran, what nonsense are you talking about? Isn’t her Chinese teacher is also your teacher? You think i was not good at teaching so that you can’t go to Rocket class?”

She waved her hand impatiently, “Go go, go back to your seat.”

After scolded for no reason, Lin Xiaoran snorted to Nan Xiangwan and went back to his seat.

How could this be….

Nan Xiangwan followed Lin Xiaoran, rubbing her hair irritably. Nan Xiangwan, who was on the verge of collapse, suddenly remembered that she already had graduated from Guanghua University, successfully entered a well-known domestic company. She just finished a school recruitment in a city and was on the plane back to the company. How could she suddenly return to high school and become a student in disciplinary class?

She must be dreaming!

Nan Xiangwan also dreamed this kind of situation before. She was in the college entrance examination room, faced with an exam paper and couldn’t answer any of them. Or in Guanghua University. The counselor told her that she failed her exam. She was persuaded to quit or to re-take the college entrance examination. At this moment, she would be flustered, wishing to dig a hole to bury herself like an ostrich. But before long, she will realize this is just a dream and force herself to wake up quickly.

This time too!

But this time is really different.

No matter how Nan Xiangwan told herself this is just a dream, she just couldn’t get out of the ‘dream state’ and return to reality.

Nan Xiangwan finally realized she was no longer the one who graduated from Guanghua University, the Nan Xiangwan who took advantage at the job fair. She became an unknown high school sophomore student. The so-called Guanghua University has not yet appeared in her life. It’s even harder to think about the position as HR in a well-known company.

The strangest thing is, even if she goes back in time, she should be in Rocket class when she was in second year of high school. How can she get into disciplinary class full of scumbag students?

But that’s okay. Nan Xiangwan remembered that the school implemented a mobile class system. As long as she was among the best in several exams, she could enter Rocket class. She still remembered in her senior year in high school, two classmates transferred in this way. Although there is some slight deviations in the current path of her destiny, she absolutely confident she can return to the Rocket class, enter Guanghua University, become a HR of well-known company, and reach the pinnacle of her life once again!

Thinking of this, the confident Nan Xiangwan turned around and asked her deskmate, “When is the exam?”

“Exam?” Her deskmate looked at her in doubt, looked up and down for a while as if she didn’t know her. “You forget? It’s now.”

“Huh?” Nan Xiangwan exclaimed in surprise.

As soon as the voice fell, the classmates stoop up one after another, pulled down the table under the teacher’s command. Not long after, a cold female voice came from the speaker, like a robot, repeating it over and over again. “Please the teacher to distributes test papers, please the teacher to distributes test papers…”

“No way, it’s starting? I’m not ready at all.” Nan Xiangwan swallowed her saliva with difficulty. Her body trembled uncontrollbably, beads of sweat appeared on her forehead. Although she was looking forward to examination to prove herself, but after so many years her knowledge during high school has been long forgotten. She can’t even remember what subject this test about or what type of questions.

Nan Xiangwan took the exam for a whole day. It was more tiring that looking at 1.800 resumes and interviewing 500 students. Among the several subjects, English paper is the easiest. This is mainly due to the fact that she never slacking when learning English. Listening, reading, and composition are all piece of cake. Only the grammar part is making people scratch their head. What “a;the”, “the;a”, “the;/”, “a;/”. She doesn’t pay much attention to it when she talks to foreigners.

The Chinese paper were also fine, but the poem ‘fill in the blank’ part seemed to be deliberately against her. The verses she would recite were given out but the one which she couldn’t memorized, they just dug out the blank and asked her to fill it.

The math paper really made her blind for a while. Firstly, it was trigonometric functions. She drew on the draft paper for a long time before recalling the basic theorems, and then the series of numbers. She couldn’t remember the general formulas. It took ten minutes to derive a general formula. Because too much time was wasted in the first question, the last few big questions she didn’t even have a chance to take a look.

As for the other subjects, Nan Xiangwan tried to guess and think of what to write. The most annoying thing is that sometimes I remember the answer but I can’t remember how to write the symbols and letters. I wish I could replace them with Chinese characters.

After the exam, the entire class was wailing, which also made Nan Xiangwan feel a little relieved. Although she had many questions that she couldn’t do, it was more than enough to get rid of this group of scumbags.

Nan Xiangwan packed up her things, took her schoolbag and walked out of the teaching building. The sky outside was already dark, and the dim light fell on the ground through layers of tree’s branches. Students in twos and threes got together, some were talking about exam questions, and some were talking about where to go on weekends.

When she was about to leave the school gate, didn’t know where Lin Xiaoran came from, and he sneered towards Nan Xiangwan, “How do you get here? Didn’t you go home by bike?”

Nan Xiang was stunned for a while, it was so bad that she even forgot she rode a bicycle to and from school in high school. But she was unwilling to show weakness in front of Lin Xiaoran. For a moment, she replied confidently: “I am willing to walk back home, what this got to do with you?” As she said, she stopped and pretended to be waiting for someone. Looking in the direction of the teaching building, she waited for a while before turning her head back to see where Lin Xiaoran had gone.

It didn’t take much effort to find him, with just a glance, Nan Xiangwan locked Lin Xiaoran’s position in the crowd. He is very tall and slender. He is very eye-catching among a group of high school students, making it difficult for Nan Xiangwan not to notice him. He was carrying a school bag with a check mark on his back, and there was a doll keychain on the zipper.

Nan Xiangwan took a closer look and hummed softly. The scumbag student indeed is a scumbag student. Such a big man but still hang a squirrel doll on his schoolbag.

Don’t know if the so-called telepathy really exists. Lin Xiaoran seemed to be able to hear her complaint in her heart. He suddenly turned his head back at this moment. Nan Xiangwan was so scared she didn’t finished roll her eyes, hurriedly turned her head back to the direction of the teaching building. Her heart beating so fast.

Don’t know how long it took before Nan Xiangwan turned back. At this time, Lin Xiaoran was nowhere to be seen. She let out a sigh of relief, returned to school griefly, found the entrance of the underground parking garage based on memory, and found her own bike among the scattered bicycles.
