Chapter 297: Renovation plan

"Can you still contact other places now?" Chen Xin couldn't help but wonder

how they would contact them after hearing the scientific researchers say that

they needed to report the isotope generator and isotope thermoelectric battery

production line to the higher-level special team.

Regarding this question, the scientific researchers answered Chen Xin in

detail: "Our main means of contacting the outside world is still relying on

telephone lines and national defense optical cables. These are the national

communication networks that existed before the disaster, in order to deal with

satellites. Communication requirements after failure.

As for the communication base stations we planned to set up, the construction

of communication networks between cities was delayed due to the impact of the

snowstorm, and the project may not continue until the snowstorm subsided. "

Chen Xin nodded clearly, but then asked another question: "What about radio

communications?"

"Radio communication is basically useless. The snowstorm's interference is too

serious. Even if it can be contacted, the signal is intermittent and it is

impossible to communicate effectively." Researchers also feel helpless. Now

that satellite communication is not available, except for wired phones. In

addition to the national defense optical cable, only radio is a relatively

easy means of communication.

However, these several communication methods are not communication methods

that can be used at will. National defense optical cables are related to

national defense and belong to military facilities. Under normal

circumstances, they are not open to civilians. Although wired telephones can

be used for civilian use, the bandwidth of wired cables is also limited and

limited by telephone lines. Only the place where the telephone is installed

can communicate with each other.

Radio communication is a relatively good means of communication, but it is

also difficult to get in touch with others in this blizzard weather.

This is also the reason why scientific research departments and the country

tried to build a communication network before. Although this communication

network still uses wireless communication, the signal between the base station

and the base station can still be stable, so that an effective and efficient

Stable communication network.

It's just that now the entire Yan Nation is shrouded in snowstorms, there is

really no way to continue construction, and the communication base stations

that have already started can only be temporarily suspended.

Because this scientific research institution is involved in important national

scientific research projects, telephone lines and national defense optical

cables are connected. When necessary, it can directly contact higher-level

departments or even higher-level entities, and it can also mobilize the army.

In the current situation, this scientific research institution can be said to

be the most powerful department in the city.

Chen Xin understood the situation and didn't say anything further. After

discussing with Qin Lan, he stayed at this scientific research institution

temporarily.

In terms of accommodation conditions, this scientific research institution is

quite good. The original polytechnic institute is the only university in the

city that has good conditions.

After being transformed into a refuge, in order to provide logistical support

for scientific research personnel and the need for confidentiality of

scientific research institutions, although the Polytechnic Institute is one of

the city’s several medium-sized refuges, the population is actually not large,

which makes this The accommodation conditions can be said to be the best among

the many refuges in the urban area.

But even so, the cold here is still the same, and there is no such thing as a

comfortable temperature for the city police station after Chen Xin's

transformation.

Fortunately, this is not a big problem for Chen Xin. Putting on the power

armor can ensure that he is not cold. The Polytechnic Institute also has a

boiler, which is better than other refuges. If necessary, Chen Xin can put it

here. The boiler was also modified.

In fact, the leaders of the Polytechnic Institute learned that Chen Xin had

renovated the boiler that was the refuge of the police station and came to the

Polytechnic Institute. They were already expecting that he could also renovate

the boiler of the Polytechnic Institute.

And the leaders of these polytechnics did come and asked Chen Xin to help

transform the boiler.

Chen Xin did not refuse this matter. It was just that the materials needed for

the transformation took time to raise, and Chen Xin did not deal with it in

the first time.

However, in addition to the Polytechnic Institute, other refuges also need

boiler renovation. After receiving a notification from the Municipal Police

Department, the city government also attached great importance to this matter.

Moreover, the city government's idea is different. In addition to renovating

the heating boilers in each shelter, they also hope that Chen Xin can help

renovate the power generation boilers of the power plants.

In the city government’s view, the heating capacity of the refuge heating

boilers is improved. This will consume more coal, but in turn it can reduce

the consumption of electric heating and save this part of the coal. Under the

circumstances, the total consumption of coal has not increased much.

Pay attention to the public account: book friends base camp, pay attention to

send cash and coins!

The boiler transformation of the power plant can also further improve the

combustion efficiency and thermal efficiency, so that the thermal energy

contained in the coal can be better utilized while saving the amount of coal

used.

Therefore, the city government sent an official to find Chen Xin and explained

the city government’s ideas in detail. He hoped that he could come up with a

feasible renovation plan to help the city government complete the heating

boilers and power plants of various refuges. Transformation of power boilers.

The request made by the city government was originally what Chen Xin intended

to do. Both parties had the same idea. Naturally, this matter was quickly

negotiated. As for how to transform and how to implement it, it needs to be

carefully discussed and discussed. Discussed.

Chen Xin happened to have nothing else to do. The city government was

concerned about this matter again, and naturally had plenty of time and energy

to discuss this matter~ www.mtlnovel.com~ After detailed discussions, the

entire renovation plan was It is finalized, and according to calculations, if

Chen Xin can complete the transformation of the heating boilers of all large

and medium-sized refuges in the city and the power generation boilers of power

plants, the city’s total coal consumption can be reduced by 10%.

This is already a very satisfactory result, because while saving coal, the

heating problem of each shelter can also be solved, although under the raging

snowstorm, the outside temperature is still maintained at an extremely low

level. , But the inside of each refuge can at least break through zero degrees

to restore the temperature to zero, so that a large number of survivors will

not get frostbite or put on hypothermia.

And such a transformation is also a very beneficial thing for Chen Xin. The

survival points he accumulated may consume a wave, but the subsequent increase

in daily survival points is a continuous income, which is not a loss for Chen

Xin.

So after drawing up the plan, Chen Xin agreed to the city government's

request, and the city government immediately began to actively deploy the

materials needed by Chen Xin to upgrade the boiler.

After sending away the officials from the city government who came to discuss

the renovation plan, Chen Xin smiled at Qin Lan and said, "Now the problems in

the urban area can be solved, and the people in other shelters can also be

better off!"
