Chapter 48: Livelongandprosper

According to Chen Xin’s estimation, if he can get supplies from Mo Qingyan

this month to upgrade the planting greenhouse and replant vegetables in time,

then next month he will not only be able to harvest seven times the current

yield of vegetables, but also Moon-grown carrots are also harvested, which can

be described as a bumper harvest.

It's just that if you really collect so many vegetables, you must deal with it

in time. Chen Xin can't eat so many vegetables by himself, so the only choice

is to exchange them for supplies.

The large freezer he bought from Mo Qingyan was filled with hundreds of

catties of vegetables, which is his current harvest in one month. If the real

output is seven times, he must have no place to put so many vegetables.

Chen Xin thought about it carefully, and decided to plant upland rice

according to his original idea.

If it is to use materials to upgrade while increasing the planting area and

hydroponic planting tray, Chen Xin can completely plant upland rice on the

ground and move the vegetable planting to the hydroponic tray.

In this way, he can not only harvest enough food for himself, but also have

enough fresh vegetables to exchange for supplies.

After all, the upgraded planting greenhouse will be 200 square meters in size,

and there will be hydroponic planting trays of the same area. Upland rice is

grown on an area of 200 square meters, and two crops a year can be harvested

almost 600 catties of rice.

As for the vegetables planted on the hydroponic planting plate, with his

current planting ratio of half carrots, half cabbage and lettuce, an average

of more than 600 catties of cabbage, more than 600 catties of lettuce and

about three catties can be harvested per month. A hundred catties of carrots.

Although the carrots have to be harvested in March, they are more resistant to

storage. They are undoubtedly a high-quality material that can be traded.

After such a calculation, Chen Xin suddenly found that his supplies became

abundant. Whether it was the rice or vegetables he ate, he had a huge surplus.

He can spend most of his monthly vegetable output in exchange for supplies to

upgrade the refuge and make his life better. At the same time, he can also

exchange other things to enrich his table, such as meat and liqueur.

These output can also be used to exchange other things Chen Xin needs, such as

the small farm machinery he needs most for farming and the use of self-

protected firearms.

Of course, Chen Xin doesn't have to change his guns. He can use vegetables to

exchange supplies, upgrade the weapon cabinet, click on the weapon cabinet's

gun manufacturing drawings, and make his own guns.

It's just that he is not sure what the gun he made will look like. If it is a

relatively primitive gun, it will be less reliable and usable than the

exchanged gun.

After all, he can use Ding Ning to find Uncle Ding to exchange a pistol from

the SWAT team, and if he makes it himself, if the upgrade level is not enough,

it is very likely that it will be the kind of simple firearm without even

rifling.

That kind of gun is not to say that it cannot be used, but it is really not

very practical, and it is not easy to carry around.

However, the upgrade of the weapon cabinet must be carried out. As the old

saying goes, "the heart of harm is not to be done, and the heart of defense is

not to be done." Having a reliable weapon to defend yourself is also to make

yourself better in this end of the world. Guaranteed.

Thinking of this, Chen Xin added the materials needed to upgrade the weapon

cabinet into his list, and decided to use the vegetables produced this month

as a deposit to contact Mo Qingyan to contact Uncle Ding in exchange for the

materials on the list. The balance will wait until next month after upgrading

the greenhouse and expanding the output.

Although this payment method is a bit unreliable in the end times, Chen Xin

believes that he can still exchange these things based on his relationship

with Mo Qingyan and Ding Ning.

After making the list, Chen Xin was ready to set up his communication antenna

and connect to his shortwave radio station, so that he could get in touch with

Mo Qingyan and the others, and he didn't need to say anything and even travel

to the city. .

The temperature is not too low now, it is not a big problem to take a trip,

but as the weather gets colder and colder, you will suffer from going out.

Chen Xin thought so, took out the Lucia-made military shortwave antenna

specially prepared by him from the tin box, and walked out of the shelter

carrying the box.

The best place to set up the antenna is of course the top of the mountain

where his refuge is located. However, considering that the maintenance and

wiring of the antenna are troublesome if it is installed on the top of the

mountain, Chen Xin chose to set up the antenna halfway up the mountain.

There is a pre-made cement base here. Although the previous fire burned it

badly, the ashes and residue on the surface were swept away, and the cement-

cast base on the ground was still intact, it looked dark.

Cleaned the cement base, Chen Xin took out the shortwave antenna in the box,

set it up on the cement base, and screwed the fixing bolts into the screw

holes reserved in advance, and then the shortwave antenna Fixed on the cement

base.

After installing the antenna, Chen Xin also needs to connect the antenna to

the shortwave radio in the shelter.

Fortunately, the cable has been buried here in advance, but there is no need

to pull the cable.

Chen Xin opened the grid of the refuge vent under the cement base, pulled a

cable out of it, and plugged it into the port under the antenna.

After doing all this, Chen Xin did not forget to put a camouflage cloth on the

antenna to prevent anyone from discovering the damage.

Although there are almost no such people who can appear in the wild in the

last days, it is certainly not ordinary people who can appear in the wild at

this time. In case someone finds the antenna, steals it for themselves or

finds their own refuge. So, if you have any thoughts that you shouldn't have,

it is also a problem for yourself.

So in order to reduce some unnecessary troubles, Chen Xin still put a layer of

camouflage cloth on the shortwave radome to make the whole antenna look like a

small black mound.

Looking at his work and patted the dust on his hands, Chen Xin returned to the

refuge with satisfaction.

In the shelter, Chen Xin also took out the shortwave radio station, placed it

on a table reserved in the living room, and connected the other end of the

cable to the shortwave radio station.

Turning on the radio switch and debugging the channel, Chen Xin made his first

call: "This is the writer~www.mtlnovel.com~ I am calling all the survivor

companions here. Please answer if you hear it. Wearestillalive ,

Livelongandprosper."

This sentence is the signal they agreed at the time. When everyone gets in

touch after the disaster, they will say this sentence to show their identity

and the current status quo.

Chen Xin waited, but there was silence on the shortwave radio station. Only a

faint electric current flowed through, which made Chen Xin feel a little

frustrated.

Just when Chen Xin watched the unanswered radio station and wanted to turn it

off, the radio finally rang out the answering voice: "This is an old farmer in

the field, I am glad to hear your voice, writer. Wearestillalive,

Livelongandprosper."

"This is a well-driller. I have enough supplies to accommodate companions who

need to evacuate. Wearestillalive, Livelongandprosper."

"This is a mountain climbing tiger. It is in good condition. I am glad that

everyone has survived this disaster. Wearestillalive, Livelongandprosper."

"here is……"

Replied one after another, remembering that after listening to everyone's

answers, Chen Xin's heart was filled with joy and excitement. The companions

in the survival group all responded at this moment, proving that he was still

alive.

And the last answer also remembered at this time: "I am Dragon Mother, and I

am doing well. It's great that no one is missing! Wearestillalive,

Livelongandprosper!"
