Chapter 2 – Trash’s Life – Self-Deprecation
He was standing on top of a ruin, on higher ground, surrounded by numerous collapsed skyscrapers. The ground had deep cracks. Vehicles and other buildings weren’t much better. Moreover, black smoke was a very common scene.
Panicked crowds were everywhere. Moans could also be heard, there were some casualties.
He suddenly remembered that he was coming out of the hospital. Turning around, he saw that the forty-story building was cut off down in the middle, collapsing onto the ground. The sight further away, however, made the Song Zhen’s body stiffen. It was so overwhelming, that he was unable to calm down.
Shocking! An overwhelming shock filled his heart.
Song Zhen looked around, and at some point, a mountain appeared a few miles away. He could swear that there was absolutely no such mountain there previously.
“Don’t tell me…”
He didn’t dare to think about it. The mountain was so high that and couldn’t even see its peak. The mountain was over a thousand feet high, like a sword piercing the sky, extremely steep. Halfway up the mountain, there was a dense fog blocking the view. From which sometimes lighting could be seen, as well as the sounds of thunders.
That was the “continent” that pressed down on him from the sky before he fell unconscious. But now stands in the distance, causing a deep shock on him.
In the west direction, an enormous blue sun hangs in the sky. Song Zhen’s heart was pounding hard. Because at the horizon there was an extremely dense blue foggy that shine very brightly.
The blue sun was wrapped by a fog that seems to float around it. Although it was quite far, from time to time there was a ray of lightning shooting out. This blue light was very bright and extremely dazzling.
It was already dusk, and the sun was already setting. However, the entire world seemed to be covered by a “blue fog”, so thick that it could not be dissolved. The fog had a blazing blue glow that soaked the heavens and earth and dyed the sunset blue.
“Strange! That is extremely strange!”
A scene that Song Zhen had never seen in the past. As he looked at the distant horizon stained by the “blue fog”, and that enormous “continent”, he could only felt a chill in his spine.
The sky was darkening, and the blue sunshine was gone.
The world seemed to be covered by fog. Suddenly there was a thumping sound, and Song Zhen noticed that the black world was brightly lit up again with a strange blue color. The light was coming from the continent just a few miles away.
“What’s going on?” There was panic in the distance, and many people raised their eyes to look at the blue light. Everyone’s heart felt as if a mountain was pressed down on them, making them unable to breathe.
Some women and children were already crying in fear from the scene before them, even the men were trembling.
“This world is going to change!”
The sight of a doomsday’s movie scene, while also been unable to process his current situation, had deeply stroke Song Zhen, so that he was dumbfounded.
Only that far away “continent” was glowing with this strange blue light, as if it was the center of the world. An endless stream of light continued to spill out of it, as well as a dense blue fog that was wantonly spreading.
On the ruins, Song Zhen’s eyes blankly looked around. There were a panicked crowd and strange blue fog. It looked like the end times had finally arrived. He didn’t know what to do next.
He walked on the ruins, following some of the enthusiastic within the crowd to rescue the injured. After all, this place was like a post-earthquake scene, there were many casualties.
This place was the city of Wulun, the point of gathering for the post-graduation party. They have come to hang out by the Wulun’s Old Lake. Nobody could expect to encounter such an outcome. Certainly, the world will be shocked when word gets out about what had happened in this place.
When he thought of the party, he remembered Win Yue, and his heart couldn’t help but feel a slight chill. I don’t know if those people were still here. But without a doubt, if they remained behind, he would make a move on Win Yue whenever he had the chance.
The person who almost killed him, Song Zhen would not forget him so easily.
He walked around the ruins of the hospital, but his brow was furrowed and the color of worry was growing on his face.
Until now, he still hasn’t found Zhao Bo. He was incredibly worried about the safety of his brother, who has been with him in the same school for several years.
There’s a fire burning in the distance, and a crowd was moving. Song Zhen looked a found that the meteorite that had fallen from the sky was still burning up until now. That meteorite was more than ten meters large, and its fire was spewing out.
A doubt suddenly had risen in his mind, even if these 10-meter meteorites were put aside. But without a doubt, that “continent” just a few kilometers away was more than enough to tear Earth apart. Yet that wasn’t the case.
Rushing towards the crowd, he found many wounded people on the open ground, apparently rescued by the crowd. He rushed to see if Zhao Bo was among them.
“I hope nothing had happened.” Song Zhen’s face was pale, but he didn’t found any sign of Zhao Bo.
Just as he was looking around in a daze, he suddenly noticed two familiar figures. At a glance, it turned out that these two were the people sent by his family when he was in the hospital.
The two of them were calmly standing on the open ground, looking at the crowd of rescuers in the distance.
As they looked away, Song Zhen suddenly looked happy and shout: “Zhao Bo”.
The person holding a wounded man was not other than Zhao Bo. As he heard someone calling for him, he got even more shocked. Because when he looked up, he found out that was Song Zhen calling for him. That brought a joyful expression to his face. Then he carefully placed the wounded man on the ground and quickly arrived in front of Song Zhen.
“Brother.” Zhao Bo shouted out excitedly, hugging Song Zhen quite fiercely. But he suddenly let go after a half a moment, and looked over the latter’s body, fearing that the latter was injured.
