4th Subway Stations and the Octopus

“Congratulations on being the first player to kill a hunter!”

An electronic sound echoed inside the room accompanied by a lively music. The monkey and the brawny man that turned into light spots slowly rose in the air and floated towards Lin Yi Ning.

“Gained 270 experience points, you leveled up. “The electronic voice said energetically:”Received five tickets and an additional 120 coins for killing the hunter.”

When this voice prompted him about leveling up. Lin Yi Ning felt a surge of energy rapidly rising, at the same time, in his body appeared a strange power. He had a feeling that if the other man was still alive, he can absolutely wipe the floor with him under three strokes.

Lin Yi Ning now does not know that this is the power of genetic evolution, whether its the start of genetic evolution or not, it no longer matters.

“Okay.” The electronic voice says, ” Now please start to choose the reward: Killed the hunter ‘Kanas’ and got the ‘Fire Extinguisher Killer’ Medal x1 (this item is not optional). You can also choose a gift in ‘Kanas’ vault.”

The light spot of the monkey ‘Kanas’ slowly divided into three parts and each one have something in them. Lin Yi Ning put his hand on a light spot and an information contained in it immediately surfaced in his mind.

The first one showed a sword. A knight sits on a steed and wields the long word. The light coming from the tip of his weapon cuts and kills the enemy.

The second one showed a hammer. A dwarf waved it in a workshop and cast a divine soldier.

The third and last one shows a long faintly glowing bow with many dark marks and breaks in the corner but in the image it presents-

A beautiful and slender elf clasped the crystal-clear bow and shot an arrow, piercing the throat of an enemy who is a hundred meters away.

Lin Yi Ning was fascinated by this scene and he did not hesitate to choose the bow and arrow.

“The pure-blooded eld is rather thin. Congratulations on making the right choice.” The electronic sound suddenly changed its tone. Lin Yi Ning looked up, and found the clown standing right in front of him.

Lon Yi Ning aimed the new long bow he’s holding at the clown without hesitation.

“No no no, please don’t be so aggressive.” The clown laughed. “I just came to say hello to you. After all, to kill a hunter alone in the novice stage means your potential is quite large and having a play of good relationship is also part of my job…”

“Good.” Lin Yi Ning slowly put down the bow and asked: “Can you answer some of my questions?”

The clown bowed and said: “My pleasure.”

“Why us?” said Lin Yi Ning. ” Why do you want to do such a thing?”

“The A22 Galaxy Government sold the Earth to Smile Company. Now the Earth’s property rights belong to the Smile Company, does the owner need a reason on how to deal with their belongings?

Lin Yi Ning is silent.

“I understand your mood, it’s very hard to see your compatriots die.” The clown continued: “I hope you can accept the reality early and obeying the rules of the game is your best choice. Is there any other questions?”

“Nothing.” Lin Yi Ning said.

“To keep the fairness of the game, please leave here as soon as you get the tickets.” The clown winked at him: “You have leveled up and killing a second hunter is against the rules. Okay, now lets play another game, a human test. Kill me and you will receive a reward. If you are willing to do so…”

His words are not yet finished and Lin Yi Ning suddenly set his fingertips on the shabby bow and–

The red light turns into a long arrow, and shot straight through the clown’s skull!

The clown fell to the ground, his blood flowing freely. Lin Yi Ning can see the traces of paint in his face.

“I don’t really want to talk nonsense with you.” Lin Yi Ning knew what the clown said is absolutely impossible. “Can I go?”

The clown no longer acted and climbed up from the ground with a low smile: “You are a quite a wayward person.”

A coin dropped in his pocket, rolled down slowly and hit the wall with a bang. The tiles cracked and the cement peeled off, revealing something more inside but its not the cement or soil which should be the outer layer in an underground construction. It was a pool of water as if its contained in a glass and it made a sizzling sound like its boiling.

In the depth of the water, a little dark red light shines and then it gradually becomes larger and round, and middle part shows a pupil. Its a mollusk that is at least two meters high and as if it was disturbed, it slams itself into the glass.

Lin Yi Ning: “…”

“Congratulations, you have triggered the egg.” The clown said, “This is a good reward, isn’t it? Come and say hello to our hidden hunter.”

Lin Yi Ning took two steps backwards and his first reaction is to run. Before he escaped, he did not forget to take one last look at the innocent child who was almost killed but when he turned his head, he saw that the child who had been unconscious was turned into a light spot.

And changed into a ticket.

He did not know whether it was the time to be thankful or regretful that if the child had lasted a little longer then Lin Yi Ning, who got six tickets, could have taken him out.

“Such a pity, losing such a good human material.” The clown smiled.

The octopus monster began to beat the glass wall harder. Lin Yi Ning no longer stayed and entangled with the clown and turned away from this place.

If he is not mistaken, the exit is only 10 minutes walk from here. If he runs fast, it won’t take too long.

But the door is not the one he used to come in.

Outside is a long corridor with snow white floor and bright lights that made people dizzy.

“You will win when you reached the end.” The clown said.

Lin Yi Ning head the sound of the voice from behind him. Looking back, he saw a piece a crack appeared on the wall. In a blink of an eye, the wall couldn’t support it anymore and a huge tentacle suddenly came out!

Lin Yi Ning no longer hesitated and ran towards the exit.

Behind him came the sound of a broken wall with a bang and a brick flew in front of him, which almost tripped him up-but soon the sound stopped and was replaced by the sound of the octopus’s supple tentacles beating the wall not a moment later.

If he had the guts to turn back, he would see that the big octopus was creeping forward, closer and nearer.

Lin Yi Ning speeds up, but the road is still endless.

The big octopus chased behind, excited with its tentacles flapping the ground, splashing debris of tiles in the ground.

“Help me!” There was a fork in the front, and Lin Yi Ning saw that a young girl was looking at him helplessly.

Lin Yi Ning turned a blind eye.

After Lin Yi Ning left, the ‘maiden ‘ uttered an angry roar, and became a monkey that Lin Yi Ning was more familiar with. The monkey stretched out its slender claws and took off, running in speed closely between the walls-then was caught by the tentacles of the octopus and sent into its mouth.

“You should have saved her. “The clown turned into a 10-centimetre-tall creature, flapping his wings and flying in front of Lin Yi Ning:” She’s actually part of your reward, and if you’re willing to be a good person, you’ll get rewarded … ”

Lin Yi Ning to ignore him. Several times, the tentacles of the octopus grazed him and leaving bloody marks.

The octopus’s ‘ footsteps ‘ are getting closer, but the creature is acting more like teasing him than trying to kill him, slowly falling behind him.

Two minutes later, Lin Yi Ning saw the ticket gate. The sudden appearance of hope got him excited and from his pocket, he took out the subway tickets. He do not know how to use it this time, but the subway ticket flew up on its own and into the light curtain, and then the light curtain melted from top to bottom and disappeared without a trace.

Lin Yi Ning crossed the barrier–

Octopus strange eyes suddenly deepened, as if to find that he is not in control of the game. Seeing that Lin Yi Ning may escape, it appeared extremely annoyed. It lifted a tentacle and sweep it towards the light curtain.

A muffled sound echoed in the corridor.

Lin Yi Ning lightly landed, the tentacle hit the light wall behind him, unable to get through.

He turned and looked at the behemoth, causing the other side to whip the light curtain again and the whole space seemed to vibrate.

Lin Yi Ning just wanted to experiment, he did not think that this seemingly rogue trick is really useful. There was a hint of humanity in the octopus’s strange eyes.

But Lin Yi Ning without hesitation, once again shot an arrow. This time, the light arrow was shot straight to the octopus eyeball!

The octopus felt the bad situation and wants to escape, but his movements are not as fast as Lin Yi Ning’s weapons.

The arrows that pass through the light curtain are three times times thicker and seem to be completely different.

A cluster of blood burst out from the eyes of the octopus like flowers and the building shook with its roar.

After the octopus screams, it became a white light.

A bead from the white light fell out, like an ordinary glass marbles. It bounced twice and finally fell on the ground, rolling over the light curtain and to Lin

Yi Ning’s feet.

He bent down and picked up the marble. The moment his hand touched the marble, a message appeared on his mind.
