Chapter 11

The sky had completely brightened.

Today was clearly going to be a clear day, with a high blue sky and white clouds drifting by, no longer the gloomy, low-hanging sky of yesterday.

Qin Yu opened his backpack, rummaged for a moment, and took out a pair of intricately designed folding skis and a pair of equally exquisite ski poles.

He sighed, "I didn't want to use you!"

A year ago, after his internal injuries had fully healed, he began to process and make this set of ski equipment. Originally, it was meant to be a toy. Thinking of the cold winters in Xiangyang and the fact that his home was on a mountain, he figured it would be nice to occasionally play some alpine skiing.

However, he somewhat overestimated the craftsmanship level at the time. What seemed simple to make was actually quite difficult.

He hired a famous carpenter from the city of Xiangyang, who made and modified the equipment as he went along. It took more than three months to complete. By the time spring arrived and the snow began to melt, the skis had never been used and were simply thrown into a cabinet.

This time, he had planned to use the skis to their full potential, but he wanted to continue to hone his willpower and train his physical strength, preparing for a great cause in the future.

After all, the journey wasn't too long.

Who would have thought that he would get lost...

Qin Yu removed the spearhead from his chaotic black spear, which was already disassembled into two black steel rods, one long and one short. The longer one was only about 1.2 meters, barely fitting on the outer straps of the backpack. Actually, the longer section of the spear could be further disassembled, but he felt it was unnecessary and stopped.

Then, he packed all his items, left the cave, put on his backpack, gloves, nailed boots, and attached the skis, securing all the attachments firmly.

He snorted, "Brat, you have your lightness skills, and I have my skis. Let's see if you can catch up with me today!" He pushed off with both hands and flew away like a whirlwind.

A huge black eagle circled quietly in the sky.

Below the black eagle, in the forest, stood a giant pine tree.

The snow on the tree had been completely cleared, revealing a thick, pure green trunk.

Xizhilan, dressed in white with a purple-black cloak, leaned against the tree, eyes closed, pretending to sleep. She had a lollipop in her mouth, savoring it slowly.

"Is this one shrimp-flavored again?" Xizhilan frowned, a bit displeased. "It has a fresh aroma, but no earthy smell of shrimp. How did he manage to boil the river shrimp?"

She found three lollipops in her cloak, which made her happy, but she wasn't too fond of the flavors.

This guy's skills were really good.

Unfortunately, he offended someone he shouldn't have. Even if she didn't kill him, he probably wouldn't live much longer.

Suddenly, the giant eagle seemed to have noticed something, spinning and emitting a long, distant cry.

Xizhilan suddenly opened her eyes, looked up, and carefully observed the direction of the eagle's spin, frowning slightly.

"Is this kid heading northwest? What is he doing there? Did he get lost again?"

Qin Yu was her target this time, but he was clearly not very obedient.

Last night, she watched as Qin Yu, like a dazed deer, wandered aimlessly in the forest, almost making her want to appear and curse him.

Under normal circumstances, Qin Yu should head south. According to her understanding, some of his relatives should be in the four counties of Jingnan. Of course, he could also head southwest to Nanzhang. Yesterday, he seemed to have a good conversation with the students from Shuiming Manor, so seeking their help was not impossible.

But who could help him hide or even seek revenge in the northwest?

This time, her mission was to find Qin Yu's accomplices and eliminate them together.

Eliminating them was not a big deal.

She felt sympathy for Qin Yu's tragic situation, but she had a heavy responsibility and could not let personal feelings override her mission.

Well, for the sake of the lollipops, she might let him off a bit at the right time...

After a while, the giant eagle stopped spinning, let out two low cries, and slowly flew northwest.

Xizhilan knew that this time, Qin Yu was determined and probably not lost.

A moment later, her expression suddenly changed.

In just a short time, the eagle's speed increased, flying quickly.

Qin Yu was running so fast in the forest?

The north wind blew, and tears flew.

Qin Yu's heart was bleeding.

As soon as the skis picked up speed, Qin Yu regretted it.

Most of his time was spent on archery and spear practice. He should have taken the time to grind some crystal pieces and make a pair of backup glasses.

Even if they couldn't provide long-distance vision, fog resistance, or polarization, they could at least protect him from the bone-chilling wind.

Others were speeding in cars or planes, but he could only speed up with tears.

However, even so, Qin Yu did not slow down at all. If it weren't for the frequent crooked trees and muddy pits, he would have doubled his speed.

Occasionally, he startled a few small animals, and he would accelerate and swerve; for larger, group-living animals, he would turn far away.

He had to get out of the forest within two hours and find a main road. Otherwise, if he dragged on too long, his physical strength would decline, making it difficult to escape the beauty's ruthless hands.

This time, his luck was good. There were few wild animals in the early morning, and in less than an hour, he had emerged from the old forest.

Qin Yu stopped his ski poles, rubbed his eyes, squeezed out the tears and moisture, and looked around. Not far ahead were a few thatched huts, surrounded by a bamboo fence, seemingly a household.

After asking for a while and barely understanding the local dialect of the aunt, Qin Yu was once again shocked. This place was called Shennongjia.

His destination was Wudang Mountain.

Xiangyang was 300 miles from Wudang Mountain, and Shennongjia was 400 miles from Wudang Mountain. Qin Yu didn't expect that after a night of rushing, he had actually gone further away.

Qin Yu sincerely thanked the aunt, gathered his strength, and sped north.

Xizhilan plopped down on the ground, drenched in sweat, panting heavily, but feeling a bit relieved.

This kid was truly strange, with all sorts of bizarre tricks. In just a short time, he almost exhausted her.

Finally, she confirmed his final direction and could take a break.

What was waiting for him in the north?

Xizhilan almost hated Qin Yu to death.

Just then, a familiar bark came from a distance.

"Can't be, did I hear Heimei's bark?" Xizhilan muttered. "I must have been driven crazy by that kid to hear my sister's dog."

"Dear sister, you haven't heard, your brother is here." A distant voice replied with a smile, sounding neutral but indistinguishable as male or female.

"Ah, what are you doing here?" Xizhilan jumped up. "I can complete this task without your help."

"I had to come, there are some new developments." The person sighed, sounding somewhat feminine. "Dear sister, your task might change."

By noon the next day, Qin Yu was less than a hundred miles from Wudang Mountain.

After a quick meal, Qin Yu continued to speed towards his goal.

An hour later, he saw another large forest ahead, still covered in snow.

Although Qin Yu had never been this way and couldn't recognize the path, he estimated that after passing through this large forest, he should be in the territory of Wudang Mountain.

Finally, he was almost there.

As he was moving, he suddenly heard a joyful bark, getting closer and closer.

Qin Yu recognized the sound, slightly tapped his left foot on the ground, and began to slow down.

A large spotted hunting dog, taller than a person, ran out from the left side of the forest, barking and pouncing over.

"Ah, Little Ruhua, is that you? What are you doing here?" Qin Yu hugged the dog, rubbing and kissing it, very happy. "Where is your owner? I came specifically to find him."

A loud voice called out, "Xiao Yu? Xiao Yu, Xiao Yu!"

At first, there was some hesitation, but then the identity was confirmed, and the voice called out loudly.

A tall man, over six feet, with a strong bow on his back, appeared before Qin Yu. He was dressed as a hunter, dragging a half-dead wild boar with his left hand and holding a three-pronged hunting spear as tall as a man with his right hand, the spear shaft as thick as an adult's arm.

"Big Brother!"

As soon as Qin Yu saw the man, he couldn't help but shed tears, his legs giving out, and he fell to the snow.
