Tiantou Star, as the first administrative planet discovered and successfully colonized by humans, has a history of several thousand years. This planet is about half the size of the original Douluo Star, with 54% of its surface covered by oceans, 40% of which are freshwater seas, and the remaining 60% are saltwater seas.
Originally, there was no life on the planet's surface. It was only after humans arrived that they used technology to develop the entire planet.
Although Tiantou Star itself had no life, it had an environment similar to 80% of Douluo Star. According to human scientists' estimates, once the first cellular organism appeared, it might take only a few tens of thousands of years for a civilized planet to be born. The arrival of Douluo Star's interstellar colonists undoubtedly greatly accelerated this process.
The name "Tiantou" was chosen to commemorate the once most powerful country on the Douluo Continent.
After the disaster caused by soul beasts ten thousand years ago, the entire Douluo Star began to evolve, and humans also put aside their past grievances. The original three major powers of the Douluo Federation, Tiantou Empire, and Xingluo Empire decided to merge after nearly a century of negotiations, still calling themselves the Douluo Federation. The former Tiantou Empire and Xingluo Empire became two autonomous regions, known as the Tiantou Autonomous Region and the Xingluo Autonomous Region. They were internally autonomous but shared resources with the Federation, thus accelerating scientific exploration and research.
The Douluo Continent, now also known as the Mother Planet, has Tiantou Star as the first colonized administrative planet, which is undoubtedly the most developed. Except for the overall energy level, which cannot compare to the Mother Planet, everything here is not much different from the Mother Planet. Especially, Tiantou Star is extremely rich in minerals, containing various rare metals. It is precisely because of this that humans have more power to continue interstellar colonization. After all, the resources consumed by each interstellar colonization are astronomical.
Inside the headquarters of the Tiantou Star branch of the Federation's Scientific Research Institute, a groundbreaking scientific experiment was underway.
In the vast dome laboratory, hundreds of top scientists were busy with their respective tasks. In the center of the laboratory, a large culture dish contained a human-like figure immersed in a liquid.
"Prepare to start heating and melting. Add high-concentration biological nutrients. Prepare for soul-guided energy injection." The lead scientist, an elderly man with white hair, gave orders in a deep voice.
Due to the turbidity of the liquid, it was unclear what exactly was inside the culture dish, but all the scientists were somewhat tense.
This was a thawing and revival experiment. The specimen was discovered in the far north of the Mother Planet three hundred years ago. The body was extremely well-preserved with no wounds. Due to the incomplete technology at the time, no attempt was made to thaw it.
In recent millennia, with the development of more planets and the discovery of more substances, scientific levels have advanced rapidly. Successful thawing and revival experiments have been conducted multiple times. Some organisms frozen for several years have been successfully revived.
However, the body in front of them was estimated to have existed for over a thousand years. Thawing and reviving a body frozen for such a long time was unprecedented in human history, with groundbreaking significance. Moreover, according to scientists' estimates, the person in the ice might have lived in a very ancient era. If they were successfully revived, they would bring not only scientific but also historical significance.
To prepare for today's thawing and revival experiment, the scientists had made thorough preparations and considered countless scenarios.
"The thawing has begun. Based on the speed of ice melting, the specimen's age is likely even longer."
The longer the ice has been frozen, the longer it takes to melt.
The scientists were all excited. Undoubtedly, the longer the body had existed, the greater the significance if it could be revived.
"Thawing complete, the body is exposed. Should we start injecting brain repair fluid and organ repair fluid?"
"Start injecting."
"Yes, repeat, start injecting."
The scientists were busily working.
But in the next instant, a shrill alarm sounded. "Urgent report, unable to inject. The alloy needle cannot penetrate the specimen and has broken."
"What?" The lead scientist was shocked. He knew very well the strength of the alloy needle. It could easily pierce even the hardest mecha!
"Is the thawing incomplete? Has the body itself not thawed?"
"The body has thawed smoothly and is now soft, but the skin is abnormally tough and cannot be penetrated. Chief, what should we do now?"
"Immediately inject soul-guided energy for strong stimulation and revival." The chief scientist decisively gave the order, but his face was already grim. Not just him, but all the scientists around him were the same.
They all knew that the possibility of the specimen's revival was now very low. According to past experience, the brain and organs of a thawed specimen must be repaired immediately to have any chance of survival. The brain is the most damaged by ultra-low-temperature freezing, and if it is not repaired immediately, the chance of revival is less than one percent. This is especially true for a specimen frozen for thousands of years. The repair fluids they had prepared were enhanced, but now they could not be injected into the body, only soaking externally, which would be much less effective.
As soul-guided energy was injected into the culture dish, a faint white glow began to emanate.
The chief scientist sighed, "We were too careless and didn't consider this situation. This specimen is likely very special, possibly a soul beast that cultivated into a human, which is why the body is so strong. It's too late to change the needle now. We should have requested the highest-strength injection needle from headquarters. I will take responsibility for this."
"Chief, don't say that. None of us considered this issue. We should share the responsibility!" A middle-aged man beside him quickly said.
"Wait, look." Suddenly, an elderly female scientist pointed to the culture dish.
The other scientists followed her gaze and were surprised to see that the previously turbid liquid in the culture dish had become clear, and the human-like figure inside was becoming more distinct.
"This is..."
As the figure gradually revealed its true form, everyone was momentarily stunned.
It was a girl, a breathtakingly beautiful girl. Previously, she was encased in thick ice, so her full appearance could not be seen.
Her body was covered in a silver dress, and her hair was silver as well. She had a slender figure. Although her eyes were closed, her long lashes had a mesmerizing effect. All the male researchers in the room were involuntarily drawn to her, their eyes wide with amazement.
"Quick, increase the soul-guided energy injection. She seems to be absorbing the nutrients in the culture dish. Replace the nutrient solution, quickly!" The chief scientist almost shouted, simultaneously snapping the other scientists out of their stupor.
The laboratory became busy again as the scientists quickly acted.
The culture dish was refilled with nutrient solution, and soul-guided energy continued to be injected. However, a strange phenomenon occurred: no matter how much nutrient solution was injected, the liquid in the culture dish remained clear. The girl's body seemed like a vast sea, absorbing all the nutrients and injected soul-guided energy.
This process lasted for a full hour.
"Look, she, she just frowned, didn't she?" A sharp-eyed young scientist suddenly pointed to the culture dish.
There was no need to verify his words, as the next moment, a faint heartbeat sounded through the audio equipment, "Thump, thump, thump."
For the scientists, this was like a heavenly sound. Even more exciting was that the girl's lashes fluttered, and she slowly opened her eyes.
Her eyes were a pale purple, dull and showing extreme fatigue. She looked around the culture dish with a blank expression, lifting her hand as if to move.
"Stop nutrient solution injection. Drain the nutrient solution and inject oxygen." The chief scientist quickly gave orders. The greatest fear for someone just awakened from freezing is suffocation, which could lead to secondary brain death.
The liquid drained, and oxygen was injected. The girl's eyes seemed to become even duller. She looked around blankly and murmured, "I'm so tired. Who am I? Where am I?"
