Tang Wulin was almost bouncing as he walked, he was so happy.

Three years, a full three years. He had toiled hard every day, hammering away at the metal, all for the sake of saving up enough money to buy a spirit.

Although he had calculated last month that he would have enough money this month, he was still so excited that he wanted to shout when he actually got the money.

Thirty thousand federal coins, which meant nothing to the wealthy, were the result of over a thousand days and nights of his sweat for a mere nine-year-old child! He couldn't count how many times he had swung the hammer to save this money, nor could he remember how many pounds of sweat he had shed.

Now he had finally succeeded, and the sense of achievement and excitement was indescribable.

His soul power was about to reach a bottleneck, and he could finally buy a spirit. He had been calculating this every day. He managed to do it before his soul power reached the bottleneck and before graduation. This meant that he was finally going to become a soul master.

Although Tang Wulin had fallen in love with forging, it didn't mean he was willing to make it his career. His dream was to become a soul master, and in the future, he hoped to become a mecha master.

All boys had similar dreams, but how many could work so hard for them?

Diligence can make up for clumsiness. Tang Wulin had kept these four words in mind for the past three years and had been doing just that.

Now, he finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel.

"Mom, Dad, I've saved enough money, I've saved enough." Tang Wulin rushed into the house, shouting excitedly.

Nar was sitting in the living room, sucking on a lollipop that Tang Wulin had bought for her.

"Bro, you've saved enough to buy a spirit?" She knew how excited Tang Wulin was.

"Yep, I've saved enough. Thirty thousand." Tang Wulin quickly took out the money from his pocket and placed it on the table, then ran back to his room and pulled out an iron box from under the bed. He ran back to the living room and poured out all the money from the box.

"One hundred, two hundred, two hundred and twenty..."

"Twenty-nine thousand six, twenty-nine thousand seven... thirty thousand, thirty thousand and two hundred. There's even two hundred extra. Nar, here's a hundred for you to buy something nice."

Looking at the large stack of federal coins, Tang Wulin's face was flushed with excitement.

Lang Yue had already come home from work and heard her son's shouts from the kitchen. Tang Ziran had just arrived home. Hearing their son's cheers and seeing the pile of banknotes on the table, both parents' eyes welled up with tears.

This child had really had it tough. While his peers were still playing happily, he had already started earning his own money.

Lang Yue walked to her husband's side, gave his shoulder a hard pat, and turned away, not wanting the children to see her tears.

"I knew you could do it, son. You're the best." Tang Ziran patted his wife's back, smiled, and came to Tang Wulin's side, putting his arm around his shoulders and giving him a big thumbs up.

"Dad, when I break through to level ten, I can buy a spirit, right?" Tang Wulin said excitedly.

"Right. Dad will go with you then. No, the whole family will go. Son, you're about to become a soul master, and Dad is proud of you."

He was so happy that Tang Wulin couldn't meditate for a long time that night.

Nar was already asleep, and the moon and stars outside the window were particularly bright, promising a sunny day tomorrow.

Tang Wulin quietly got out of bed, his excitement too strong to sleep. He pulled the blanket up for Nar, covering her small body, as she always moved around in her sleep.

Mom said that next year, when he turned ten, he couldn't share a room with Nar anymore. The room would be given to Nar, and he would have to sleep in the living room. But why?

Thinking about this, Tang Wulin felt a bit uncomfortable. He still liked waking up every day to see Nar.

He carefully opened the door and quietly walked out, wanting to take a walk to calm his mind before meditating.

He opened and closed the door without making a sound and slipped out.

The bright moonlight shone through the window, illuminating Nar's body. The moon was particularly bright tonight, making her silver hair shine.

Under the moonlight, a faint glow suddenly appeared from Nar's body. Yellow, green, red, blue, purple, gold, and silver, seven colors alternated and flickered.

If Tang Wulin had still been in the room, he would have seen this extraordinary scene.

Nar's body trembled slightly, and after a moment of the seven-colored glow, it began to merge into her forehead. After a long time, she finally calmed down again.

The moonlight remained bright, and the soft glow around Nar's body faded. Her small body seemed to have grown a little, as if her height, which hadn't increased much in three years, was about to break through.

The trembling disappeared, and Nar's breathing became even again, but her brows were furrowed, as if she was having a bad dream.

The night air was particularly fresh. In the civilian area where Tang Wulin lived, there was a small garden where he often brought Nar to play during school holidays.

Walking into the garden, he seemed to be drawn by some unseen force to a patch of blue silver grass. Breathing in the fresh air with the scent of plants, he smiled contentedly.

Completely subconsciously, he sat down cross-legged.

The faint chirping of insects, the slightly cool air, and the gentle light of the stars and moon on his body gradually calmed his agitation, and he slowly entered a meditative state.
