Sigh, I am now just a silkworm farmer.

Living a small life by selling a bit of silk, I will likely marry the silk-making girl next door next year, living a simple and uneventful life.

Over the years, Zhu Minglang has already been worn down, no longer dreaming of past glories. He only wishes to live a simple life, planting mulberry trees and raising silkworms in a place where no one knows him...

Who would have thought that one day he would end up in a dungeon with the dazzling Valkyrie, the ruler of Yongcheng, living such an unquiet life.

Closing his eyes, Zhu Minglang began to feel lost and troubled.

Before long, he fell into a weary sleep.

...

“Sizzle~”

It smells so good, is the neighbor frying rolls again?

Zhu Minglang woke up and quickly caught the scent of fried food.

Splashing cold water on his face, Zhu Minglang realized the smell was coming from his own kitchen.

Where is the Valkyrie?

In the kitchen??

Can she cook?!

Amazing, she can go into the dungeon, enter the hall, and even cook!

Walking into the simple kitchen, Zhu Minglang saw a large pot next to a bamboo basin, filled with golden, crispy, and delicious-looking fried rolls.

But soon, Zhu Minglang saw a heart-wrenching scene!

The Valkyrie was holding long chopsticks, skillfully dipping fat silkworms into sweet potato flour and then throwing them directly into the oil, the fresh aroma rising immediately.

“My big fat silkworms!!” Zhu Minglang cried out.

“I’m hungry, and there’s nothing else to eat in your house.”

Silkworms are so cute, how can you eat them!

Zhu Minglang had worked hard for over a month to raise these big fat silkworms, each worth a silver sand, and he needed them to marry a wife in town...

“Looking at your heavenly beauty and extraordinary aura, how can you fry silkworms so well... and be so cruel!” Zhu Minglang said, on the verge of tears.

“I’ve seen your big fat silkworms before; my people do this. I tried one, it was too greasy, I didn’t like it.” The Valkyrie wrapped a fried silkworm in a fresh green leaf, took a bite to cut the greasiness, and then swallowed it with a slight frown.

Eating them is one thing, but to say they are greasy and make that painful face...

They are clearly delicious!

Zhu Minglang finally picked up a piece, wrapped it in a fresh leaf, and put it in his mouth.

“Little guy, I won’t eat you, I won’t eat you, they are big fat silkworms, meant to be eaten.” Zhu Minglang said while comforting the little ice worm on his shoulder.

“There have been rumors lately that young dragons love to eat big fat silkworms. If a young spirit that eats silkworms appears, it must be captured, as the chance of it becoming a dragon is very high.” The Valkyrie said.

“No wonder big fat silkworms have been selling so well lately, in high demand. I thought it was because a rich girl was getting married and needed a lot of silk for her clothes. How cruel, they are meant to produce silk, but they end up as meat. Those big fat silkworms must be very unhappy.”

“If eating silkworms can turn into a dragon, the souls of tens of thousands of silkworms would not be in vain.” The Valkyrie said.

“Are dragons very noble?”

“Noble.”

“Compared to you?”

“I am not as noble as a dragon.”

This land has a mysterious power, where any creature has a chance to become a dragon.

However, dragons are rare, noble, and incredibly powerful, with very few out of billions of lives transforming into dragons.

Legend has it that all living beings have their own dragon gate.

Once they leap over it, they transform into a dragon.

Dragons are like the sun, moon, and stars, hanging high in the sky, magnificent and glorious.

To those who compete for food and territory, the dragons see them as mere common fish and shrimp in a river.

“Since dragons are so powerful, what is the point of people fighting and competing with each other?” Zhu Minglang asked.

“Humans are intelligent. Transforming into a dragon has countless uncertainties, requiring a certain amount of luck and immense effort. Some people seek the patterns of dragon transformation, finding young dragons that have the potential to transform but lack other conditions, helping them leap over their dragon gate!”

“Dragon tamers?”

“Yes, humans can become—dragon tamers.”

“What do you think of me?” Zhu Minglang asked enthusiastically.

“You raise your silkworms well, they are very fat.”

Well, the Valkyrie’s honesty is also very beautiful.

...

Yongcheng.

It was still early morning, the sun had not yet risen, but the sky was filled with brilliant red clouds, like real flames, illuminating the entire city and streets, even the darkest corners became incredibly bright!

“Run, run!!”

“Fire, big fire!!”

Suddenly, a commotion came from the street, growing louder as a large crowd fled in panic towards the city gates, as if being chased by some prehistoric beast.

“Boom!!!”

Suddenly, a rain of fire swept across, hitting the tall buildings, and the houses and courtyards on the street were instantly destroyed, turning into countless rubble that swept across the street.

A group of civilians in simple clothes were pierced through by the flaming rubble, their bodies burning, in unimaginable agony!

The soldiers managing the main street were shocked, drawing their long knives, thinking that a bandit gang had entered the city to burn and loot.

“Roar~~~~~~~~~~~~~!!”

Behind them were the tall buildings of the nobility. On the eaves, a massive head, as large as a roof, suddenly rose into the air, followed by a long, thick body, with dazzling fire scales continuously emitting scorching flames...

“Dragon!!!”

The soldiers were utterly shocked, watching the golden flame dragon rise into the sky, unleashing its fury. Despite the intense heat, they felt an overwhelming fear!

A golden flame dragon!!

It was raining fire over the streets of Yongcheng, indiscriminately burning the people.

With one tilt of its head and a breath, all the people on the street turned to ashes!

With one sweep of its tail, the city walls, tall buildings, government offices, and shops were all destroyed!

As for the civilian houses, they caught fire immediately upon contact with the dragon’s scales, turning into burning ruins in less than a minute!

In just half a minute, the main street was in ruins.

There were also some soldiers, holding blades and wearing armor, looking well-trained and fearless.

But with one roar from the golden flame dragon, the soldiers’ eardrums burst, and they clutched their ears in agony, rolling on the ground and screaming.

With one claw, the dragon crushed the soldiers, turning them into meat pies!

The soldiers could not stand against the golden flame dragon, let alone the civilians.

The city turned into a sea of fire, and the once-prosperous armed forces of Yongcheng were no match, with armored soldiers soon fleeing in all directions along with the civilians.
