Chapter 47

Cross-legged on the sofa, completely disregarding any notion of ladylike decorum, Yiwén stared curiously at the crystal ball on the coffee table. Almost everything that appeared in the small house was her private property, so the young vampire who looked like a little girl was naturally not interested in the crystal ball itself.

Yīfén, who had the same beautiful blonde hair as Yiwén, Hōrai Yashima Hikari, dressed in nostalgic attire, and Fūsō Rin, who had just come up from the basement, were all gathered around the coffee table, staring at the crystal ball, watching the every move of Shinji Matou inside it. Except for Rōshō Chachamaru, who was doing something unknown in her room, all the females in the house were gathered around the crystal ball.

"Hmm? He can still successfully summon in the space I created. The so-called magicians are quite interesting," Yiwén said with interest as she watched Shinji use the Command Spell to summon Berserker.

Her intention was to praise the group of magicians, but in Rin's ears, it sounded completely different. To the young magician, it was a clear sign of contempt. However, after a year as the student council president, her temper had become much more controlled. Otherwise, the internal conflict within the house would have erupted before they could deal with Shinji and Berserker.

"This is for the best. I was really worried that if he couldn't summon, it would be troublesome," Rin said. The others in the room had their own interpretations. Most thought she was simply unwilling to see her classmate die, as she had not experienced as much as Yiwén. Even if Levi were present, he would probably think this 'ordinary' girl was simply kind-hearted.

"There are records of certain heroes continuing to act and even unleashing greater power even after losing their masters," Yīfén, holding a pile of documents, unintentionally helped Rin out of her predicament.

Yiwén glanced at the hero she had been living with for a few days, but her mind was on the fact that Yīfén was speaking more often.

"Are you going in?" Hikari, who looked the most gentle, had actually been trained by her 'friend' to be quite combative, as evidenced by her tracking of Levi last time.

"Not yet, I don't want to keep the guests waiting too long..."

Bang!

Rin's words were cut off by the sound of the wooden door behind her, which was about to give way. In fact, there was no need to continue, as the person she was waiting for was already standing at the door.

"Phew, not late, right? We'll deal with your disobedience later. What's the situation now?"

Levi burst into the living room, habitually addressing Yiwén and Rin. By the time he noticed the not-so-familiar Yīfén and Hikari, it was too late.

With his thick skin, he certainly wouldn't let a little awkwardness show. Besides, the two hero girls didn't seem to have any extreme reactions, and Yīfén even looked a bit embarrassed.

There were more important matters at hand. Levi glanced at Yīfén and then focused on the crystal ball.

"Shinji Matou and Berserker... you really have some tricks up your sleeve."

Walking over to Yiwén, Levi patted Rin's head when he saw the two figures in the crystal ball.

"Of course, as the student council president, my understanding of my classmates is far beyond what an irresponsible teacher like you could match."

Although Levi's actions seemed normal, with so many people watching, Rin subtly pushed his hand away.

"Is that so?"

Rin's explanation sounded reasonable, but Levi looked puzzled, as if he had sensed that she was hiding something from him.

"Alright, no more nonsense, we're wasting time! Let's go in and take care of them."

Not noticing the subtle interaction between Levi and Rin, Yiwén was eager to rush into the villa and give those two a good beating. After being sealed for so long, she hadn't been in top form and hadn't fought anyone except Levi and the recently arrived Yīfén. She wouldn't let such an opportunity pass by.

"Okay, watching them any longer would indeed be a waste of time. Let's proceed according to the plan."

Hearing Rin's words, Levi took out his phone. The email he had received earlier not only informed him of Shinji's arrival and urged him to return but also included a well-thought-out battle plan.

Levi had no objections to the plan. It was simple yet comprehensive, a straightforward and direct strategy. He was more impressed by Rin's organizational skills. From the arrangements, it was clear that the young girl had done a lot of talking in the short time he had gone for a 'stroll' in Mahora last night.

Standing in the teleportation array, Levi surveyed the platform that had become a ruin, silently mourning for Yiwén's wallet, though he knew that the cost of repairing the villa was not money.

The thought from Yīfén, transmitted through the Command Spell, guided him to look toward the distant beach. He didn't need the guidance; the roar of the giant could be heard clearly even from the top of the villa.

Standing on the edge of the platform, he watched for a moment. The two guests were still running around aimlessly, causing destruction. Seeing their dullness, Levi decided that waiting any longer was pointless. He stepped off the edge and leaped from the skyscraper-like villa.

Listening to the wind rushing past his ears in mid-air, Levi recalled the plan Rin had devised. According to his personal preference, Levi did not want Yīfén or Hikari to get involved.

Some things were hard to say directly. But based on his understanding of the 'Golden Darkness,' Levi did not think she had the speed or strength to match an opponent like Berserker. He didn't even expect her to land a single hit and safely withdraw.

But the situation had already reached this point, and the girls had made their plans and formed an alliance without his knowledge. The thought of it gave him a headache.

"Kotomine, you really left me a big problem."

Watching the ground rush toward him, Levi sighed, thinking of his old friend.

Rin, his friend's orphan, had caused trouble again in just a short time.

"The distance is..."

He turned in mid-air, estimating that the dust cloud was about four teleportations away. Levi gripped the black ornamental gun he had drawn at some point. Just as he was about to make contact with the ground, he tore open the space around him.

Looking ahead, he saw three figures appear almost simultaneously, moving in a straight line toward the beach where the guests were.

"Welcome!"

Ignoring Shinji, who was hiding behind Berserker, Levi sent a polite greeting and a bullet to the giant, who hadn't yet seen him.

His target was the large, bell-like eyes. Given the human-like form, the vulnerable parts should be similar, Levi reasoned.

Unfortunately, that was not an ordinary human. The berserk hero's animal instincts kicked in at the critical moment. A slight shift, and the bullet, composed of what Levi called 'Qi,' struck the hard forehead of the opponent. If not for the lack of sparks, it would have been mistaken for a hit on the hardest metal, not a biological skin.

"Cheater!"
