Chapter 76

A teacher who lured a junior high school girl met a student who monopolized twin sisters. Although it was far from the truth, it was awkward enough for Levi and Okazaki. Of course, even more awkward was the younger sister of the 3A class president, Fujibayashi Makoto, who also served as the class president in her own class.
This twin sister, who looked almost identical to her sister, had a personality as different as the length of their hair. With short hair similar to Yuki's, Fujibayashi's younger sister seemed to have been born to complement the feminine traits her sister lacked.
She was gentle and shy, with excellent grades. Except for her timid nature, which made her seem like a frightened hamster, she was probably also very skilled in housework and cooking. According to Levi's experience in reading people, girls of this type were mostly virtuous, completely opposite to the often violent female gorilla in his class.
However, such a personality also had its drawbacks. The main issue was the lack of authority as a class president. Thanks to the fierce and protective class president of their class, the discipline in Fujibayashi Makoto's class would probably rank at the bottom of the grade otherwise.
The current situation best illustrated Fujibayashi Makoto's personality. Compared to the other four, she was like sitting on pins and needles. Even as the lights dimmed in preparation for the start, her face was clearly flushed with embarrassment.
She was too shy. Levi decided to pretend not to notice her. If he gave her any more stimulation, Fujibayashi Kyō, who was separated from him by Okazaki, would probably explode. He still wanted to enjoy his first concert experience.
"Hey, aren't you being a bit too bold? Bringing a first-year student is one thing, but in a school uniform? There will definitely be big news on Monday."
It was hard to change one's nature. Making Okazaki shut his mouth, which always spouted nonsense, was as difficult as making Yuki tell a joke. No, maybe even harder. If Levi asked, Yuki would obediently tell a joke, though most of them wouldn't be funny.
"Do you still have the nerve to criticize me? You should be more concerned about yourself. A delinquent boy with two beautiful twin girls by his side, using illegal means. What do you think the boys in the school will think when they see this headline?"
"Please don't say anything! I beg you!"
This was Levi's leverage. Compared to the delinquent student with a poor reputation, he was only embarrassed by the scandal. If the news of monopolizing the Fujibayashi sisters spread in the school, many radical boys would probably go after Okazaki. As for Levi? The story of the student guidance teacher and the president's romantic affair was no longer news, and he hadn't been fired by the principal. So, as long as he could put on a thick face, Levi wasn't afraid of another baseless charge.
"What are you talking about? Not saying something bad about me, right?"
Fujibayashi Kyō suddenly leaned over, startling the two men who were huddled together.
"No, no, I was just saying the seats are too hard and don't match the ticket price."
Compared to Levi, who at least had the title of homeroom teacher, Okazaki was clearly more afraid of Kyō's feminine authority and quickly waved his hands to explain.
"What!? A concert should be experienced standing to fully feel the passion and excitement! For a clueless rookie like you, having a seat should be a blessing, and you still complain! Do you want me to cut out your appendix and make sushi to stuff back into your mouth!"
Okazaki was initially proud of his clever excuse, but he was immediately sprayed with saliva by the agitated Kyō.
Levi was much smarter than Okazaki. Seeing Kyō lean over, he immediately leaned back to avoid any possible harm.
Listening to Kyō's passionate words, Levi thought he understood why Okazaki was here. The 3A class president, who looked like a radical fan, must have threatened Okazaki to queue up all night to buy tickets. Levi immediately guessed the whole truth.
Kyō continued to scold Okazaki, but Levi lost interest after a few sentences. He turned to talk to Yuki but found it hard to think of a topic. Instead, the short-haired girl, as if sensing his intention, spoke up on her own.
"It's about to start."
"Huh? How do you know?"
The lights were indeed dimmer than when they entered, but the stage was still dark, and there were no announcements. Levi was curious how Yuki knew.
"Based on the differences in intelligent individuals..."
"Wait, wait."
Seeing the girl about to spout a bunch of complex words, Levi immediately stopped her. He had already experienced the alien girl's brainwashing-like verbal bombardment more than once. The familiar sounds combined into incomprehensible sentences. Probably only a scientific genius like Haruhi could communicate smoothly with her. Levi sighed lightly.
"If possible, please explain in the simplest way."
Receiving Levi's request, Yuki paused like a doll that had lost power. To turn a large amount of professional vocabulary into a simple and understandable explanation, even her brain needed a bit of processing.
"Feeling."
In the end, she gave this answer, which was the most vague and least convincing, yet the most fitting for a girl. Girls generally have more accurate intuition than men. From this perspective, the alien visitor named Nagato Yuki was becoming more and more like a human girl.
"Feeling? Speaking of which, I also feel something strange."
After Yuki said that, Levi realized something was off. It wasn't the fans' behavior, as they were all quietly waiting for the concert to start. What caught his attention was something else.
Focusing his mind, he carefully probed and felt that there were special ability users mixed in the crowd.
Where are they? He looked around, but the venue was too crowded. Even the weakest energy, when gathered in numbers like an army, would form a massive wave that couldn't be ignored. Levi's investigation was severely affected.
After two minutes of searching with no results, his actions drew attention from others. Okazaki quietly asked if he was peeping at beautiful girls or something obviously mischievous.
Levi casually made up an excuse to fend off Okazaki. Okazaki wanted to tease him a bit more, but Fujibayashi Kyō timely stopped him. The reason Kyō didn't let Okazaki speak had nothing to do with her and Levi's relationship as class president and homeroom teacher, but because the concert was about to start!
As the lights in the venue suddenly went out, the stage burst into a scorching white light. The music gradually rose, signaling everyone to prepare for the entrance of the night's star.
The crowd was a bit unaccustomed to the sudden change in lighting and fell silent for a few seconds. Then, a wave of sound, like an intellectual tsunami, swept the entire venue. The energy accumulated in the silence seemed to erupt instantly.
Levi almost couldn't resist covering his ears. The deafening sound made his eardrums throb with pain. In the overwhelming cheers, he could barely make out two repeated syllables.
"Yu...na?"
