Chapter 73 – Gifts are Necessary….Don’t Ask Me!

I heard some pretty amazing information including my name but I have not been shocked more than I thought I would be.

I guess that’s the effect of the gifts.

If it were the original me, I would be confused at the part where I don’t even remember my name.

Well, I guess it’s better than being confused and not being able to deal with it. However, there are a lot of things I don’t understand.

「By the way, how can you tell that I can choose and repel gifts?」

When they said that, all the explanation in my mind is saying, “It should be because they are gods.”.

Hearing my question, God Deme suddenly stood up and shouted out loud.

God Deme looked like he wanted to say something but Goddess Aion glared at him so she sat down meekly.

I mean, I know that mine is thick but, is that something good?

Well, it doesn’t really matter.

So far, it never inconvenient me.

So, I’m not interested.

I’m getting less interested in various things.

「I see. Then, about the demon king, as Deme said, he was not created to summon heroes. I want you to believe that.」

Goddess Aion stares at me with a serious expression.

I don’t feel like she’s lying but how much can I trust a god?

Isn’t the demon king the enemy of mankind?

Well, I think that’s a good idea.

However, I’m not convinced since I’m a human.

I don’t think that will be enough to stop children from fighting.

Or rather, it would cause a different kind of conflict.

I can think of many other things that will start to happen as soon as the demon king is defeated.

Greed. It’s because of human’s greed.

I don’t know the personalities of other children but I guess they should be similar.

Of course.

The stronger the demon king becomes, the more power is concentrated in the country or race which defeated it.

It may work for a while but when it’s time for the next generation to lead, change and problems will arise.

If that happens, there will be conflicts.

「I don’t think humans will stop fighting no matter what kind of enemy you make or what kind of environment you create for them.」

I don’t know about the other races though.

「You’re right. You really know them.」

「I’m human after all.」

「……are you?」

「Let me ask you this. Why can’t children stop fighting? Why do such meaningless acts?」

At the words of God Deme, even Goddess Aion stares at me.

Starting me that much made me uncomfortable….

Why can’t we stop fighting?

Is it because one wants to lead over the other?

Neither Goddess Aion nor God Deme seemed to understand my explanation.

Even if you look at me like that, how can I make you understand something I don’t really understand?

That was an immediate answer but, is it true?

「How about those who are against and those who are in favor of hero summoning? Is there any conflict between those two factions?」

Does that stop children from fighting or does that stop the hero summoning?
