"Even Sister Jiangxue doesn’t know the heart method of the Jiangyue Polang Jue. Just by watching me perform four moves, she was able to deduce the eighteen moves and the eighteen key heart methods of the Jiangyue Polang Jue, making it even more perfect than the real Jiangyue Polang Jue. Indeed, she surpasses me by a great deal."
The more Jiangnan understood about Jiangxue, the more he felt her depth was unfathomable. He smiled at Tiezhu and said, "Zhu, are you interested in learning the Dragon Tiger Elephant Power Technique of our Jiang family?"
Upon hearing this, Tiezhu was both surprised and delighted, yet somewhat hesitant: "Zichuan, this isn’t quite right. After all, it’s the secret technique passed down in your Jiang family..."
Jiangnan smiled and said, "Our Jiang family has already declined, and I am the only one left. There are no family rules prohibiting the spread of our techniques. Now, I am the head of the Jiang family, and it’s my decision to whom I pass it on."
Tiezhu’s family had treated him very well, especially when he was down and out. Tiezhu’s mother, though blind, had a good heart and often had Tiezhu help Jiangnan. Jiangnan had always remembered this kindness.
"Will your cousin say anything?" Tiezhu hesitated for a moment and asked.
"She’s my fiancée!"
Jiangnan emphasized the words and smiled, "My cousin is also a member of the Jiang family. I am the head of the family, and if I want to pass it on to you, she can’t object, can she? Does she want me to divorce her?"
The Dragon Tiger Elephant Power Technique he created, although based on the true qi of the Devil Prison Mystic Fetus Scripture, had a completely new path for the circulation of true qi. Jiangnan only needed to organize the circulation path to create a new Dragon Tiger Elephant Power Technique!
Jiangnan taught this technique along with the moves he had created to Tiezhu. Tiezhu was born with extraordinary abilities, tall and strong, with a physique far superior to ordinary people, and had innate strength. Although he hadn’t cultivated true qi, the Dragon Tiger Elephant Power Technique was extremely powerful in his hands, as if it were tailor-made for him. Cultivating true qi was just a matter of time!
It was clear that if he cultivated to Jiangnan’s level, the Dragon Tiger Elephant Power Technique would shine brightly in his hands, possibly even surpassing Jiangnan!
Although Tiezhu’s talent and insight were not bad, by the time the sun set, he still hadn’t learned the entire Dragon Tiger Elephant Power Technique, only the first move and its heart method.
"Zichuan, learning too much is not beneficial. This one move will keep me busy for a while. I’ll come back to learn the next moves when I’ve mastered this one!"
Tiezhu was excited and turned to leave, smiling, "I’ve already done your work at Prince Qi’s mansion today. Don’t forget to report for duty tomorrow, or those managers will start talking and deduct your pay."
Jiangnan felt a bit hungry after moving around and returned to the slums. As soon as he entered the room, the aroma of food greeted him. Jiangxue seemed to know he would be hungry and had already prepared a table full of dishes for him.
"Sister, you really have great cooking skills!" Jiangnan was pleasantly surprised, feeling a warm current in his heart, his chest warm.
"I am your fiancée, and we were betrothed as children."
Jiangxue smiled, "If I weren’t virtuous, wouldn’t you divorce me?"
Jiangnan’s face turned red. This fox demon indeed had some supernatural abilities, able to hear his conversation with Tiezhu. He stammered, "Sister, did you hear everything just now? I was just trying to make Tiezhu back off to avoid unnecessary trouble. Don’t be angry..."
"Why would I be angry?"
Jiangxue’s beautiful eyes twinkled, and she smiled, "I’m your childhood fiancée. If I were angry, and you divorced me, where would a young woman like me go?"
Jiangnan immediately changed the subject, smiling, "Sister, you made so many dishes. How can the two of us finish them all?"
"Eat, eat."
Jiangxue smiled, "Eat more because you have something to do later that will consume a lot of energy."
Jiangnan was surprised. Jiangxue smiled, "Now that you are cultivating the Devil Prison Mystic Fetus Scripture, your blood and qi are extremely vigorous. Although ordinary people can’t see it, to the demons and spirits near Luoxia Mountain, you are like a torch in the dark, very eye-catching."
Jiangnan felt a sense of foreboding and probed, "Then what?"
Jiangxue chuckled and whispered, "Then, when you go to the foot of Luoxia Mountain, the demons and spirits in the mountain will naturally come to eat you. You are like a piece of fragrant Tang僧 meat. As long as they eat you and absorb your yang qi and blood, their cultivation will greatly advance, surpassing years of hard practice."
Jiangnan’s face darkened, "Sister, you just said you weren’t angry!"
"I didn’t force you to choose the Devil Prison Mystic Fetus Scripture. The demons and spirits coming to eat you isn’t my doing. It has nothing to do with me, so why would I be angry?"
Jiangxue smiled, then turned serious, "Zichuan, after your battle with Wusi Jiang, you realized you lack combat experience. Now, I’m giving you this opportunity! Practical combat is the best way to hone your skills. To become a master, to become strong, you need practical combat, a baptism of blood!"
Jiangnan nodded solemnly, "I understand."
"Demons and spirits have innate combat skills, making them the perfect opponents for a rookie like you."
Jiangxue said calmly, "If you can survive the battle with the demons, you will truly become a martial artist, no longer a novice, no longer a rookie."
"Sister, if I encounter danger in the mountains, will you save me?" Jiangnan suddenly thought of the key point and asked.
"Yes."
Jiangxue said indifferently, "I need your yang qi to repair my soul. If you can’t hold on, I will save you, but I don’t need a useless brother."
Her words implied that if Jiangnan couldn’t hold on, although she would save him, she wouldn’t recognize him as her brother, only as a tool to absorb yang qi, with no affection left.
Jiangnan took a deep breath, his face slightly pale, and said resolutely, "Sister, even if I encounter danger, I don’t need you to save me. I will face this challenge alone!"
Jiangxue’s eyes showed a hint of approval, and she smiled, "Zichuan, your battle with Wusi Jiang wasn’t really a fight, just a desperate struggle. This will be your first true battle in the martial arts!"
Her eyes misty, she whispered, "Don’t disappoint me, sister..."
Jiangnan ate his fill and looked up at the sun. The sun was still high in the sky, far from setting. He immediately set out, following the Yangchuan River toward Luoxia Mountain.
Jiangxue transformed into a white fox and followed him like a shadow. The forest was covered with withered leaves, and the sound of their steps and the flowing water echoed.
The Yangchuan River originated from Luoxia Mountain, and the upper reaches were sparsely populated. Soon, Jiangnan arrived deep in the mountains, where he saw a dilapidated stone bridge. On the other side of the bridge was a long-abandoned mountain shrine.
Suddenly, a piercing roar echoed through the forest, followed by a fierce wind that swept toward the stone bridge!
Jiangnan felt the strong wind hit his face, blowing his headband, and the air carried a strong, pungent smell!
"A demon has detected me!"
He stood by the stone bridge, his eyes fixed on the other side, his palms damp with cold sweat.
"This is my first battle in the martial arts..." Jiangnan felt a surge of excitement, looking down at his hands, muttering.
Huff, huff—
Heavy breathing came from the forest. Jiangnan’s heart tightened as he saw a huge shadow emerge from the dilapidated mountain shrine, step by step, approaching the stone bridge over the Yangchuan River.
It was a black bear, standing upright, over ten feet tall, incredibly strong, holding a broken saber in its hand.
Bears usually hibernate in winter, but only those who know how to cultivate remain active!
This bear was clearly one of them, resting in the dilapidated mountain shrine. Seeing Jiangnan’s strong yang qi, it immediately came out to eat him!
The black bear’s eyes were bloodshot, and a faint demonic aura emanated from its body, captivating the soul. Jiangnan had never seen such a large black bear before, likely a unique species from Luoxia Mountain, having cultivated into a demon and even knowing how to use weapons!
Thud!
The bear took a step out of the forest onto the stone bridge, its footstep causing the bridge to tremble.
This was a terrifying demon, incredibly strong. Seeing Jiangnan on the other side of the bridge, it let out a low, deep growl and suddenly charged, the broken saber dragging on the ground, sparks flying.
When it was three yards away from Jiangnan, the bear’s speed increased, and the saber was suddenly raised, flashing a white light in the night sky, slashing down at Jiangnan!
"Too fast!"
Jiangnan saw the white light flash, and the saber was already in front of him, leaving no time to dodge. The bear’s strike was like a master calligrapher’s brush, simple and direct, determining life and death with one stroke!
This simple and direct move was more terrifying and domineering than any other technique!
"Great River Rises with the Tide!"
Suddenly, a wave-like sound rose, like a surging river, and Jiangnan’s true qi surged, the power of three tigers bursting forth, pushing the Jiangyue Polang Jue to its limit. His palms, carrying the sound of waves, struck the bear’s saber!
Thud!
The Great River Rises with the Tide failed to stop the bear’s strike. The saber paused for a moment, then cut through the surging waves, advancing straight toward Jiangnan!
Jiangnan’s mind was clear, with no thoughts, only a burning fighting spirit. He continued to fully activate the Great River Rises with the Tide, using softness to overcome hardness, his true qi as gentle as water, washing away the bear’s fierce strength.
Amid the sound of waves, the broken saber suddenly shattered, unable to withstand the impact of Jiangnan and the bear, breaking on the spot!
"Dragon Tiger Elephant Power!"
Jiangnan shattered the saber with one move, finally escaping the fate of being killed by the bear. He immediately moved forward, not retreating, charging toward the bear!
Thud!
His foot landed, causing the ground to tremble, more shocking than when the bear first appeared. If one only heard his footsteps without seeing Jiangnan’s figure, they would think a rampaging elephant was charging, not a fourteen-year-old human scholar!
"Divine Elephant Stomps the Mountain!"
