Chapter 46

"This is a great transformation in the history of romance, and Bai Yiqing has created a new genre: pure love."

Luoyang never expected that the Weibo official would praise him so much, directly promoting him as the founder of a new genre. After all, this is a platform with a wide audience, and with Weibo's promotion, the pure love genre will receive even greater recognition, and his status—well, or rather, his prestige—will also rise with this promotion.

It wasn't until he saw the private message from the Weibo official that Luoyang understood what was happening... It turned out they needed something from him.

He added the person who called themselves the Weibo editorial department, Shuangyue, as a PP friend.

Ding ding ding...

The system showed that the friend request was successful, and the other party immediately typed: "Hello, are you Teacher Bai Yiqing?"

Luoyang replied, "I am."

"Hello, Teacher Bai Yiqing, I am the head of the Weibo editorial department, you can call me Shuangyue."

Luoyang raised an eyebrow; he didn't expect the other party to be a head of the Weibo official, and their attitude was quite humble. Moreover, the other party couldn't be a scammer because this PP was sent by the Weibo official.

"Hello, Head Shuangyue."

"It's like this, Teacher Bai Yiqing, our editorial department held a meeting and decided to invite you to be our Weibo's special writer..."

"Special writer?"

"Consider it as our Weibo official inviting you to write a relatively long pure love novel... After all, you know, short stories cannot create a long-term impact." Shuangyue explained.

Luoyang understood; it seemed that Weibo saw the influence of his writing and wanted him to promote the development of Weibo's writing function.

"My time might not be that much, as I am still serializing a fantasy novel called 'Wushuang' on Xingchen Novel Network..."

Of course, this was just a pretext. Luoyang had more than enough energy to serialize a long pure love novel; he said this just to negotiate a better deal.

Shuangyue, who clearly saw through this, didn't point it out but instead probed, "We naturally know that Teacher Bai Yiqing's energy is limited, so we will offer a generous reward, and our Weibo official will also give you sufficient promotion... As you can see, we are now promoting the new genre of pure love on the official platform, and the user response is very enthusiastic..."

Luoyang nodded.

He had to admit that if Weibo wanted to promote someone, it was indeed very tempting, and their platform was large enough...

Most importantly, even if Luoyang serialized a pure love novel on Weibo, it wouldn't cause any conflict with Xingchen Novel Network.

This was because Xingchen Novel Network mainly focused on fantasy and xianxia genres, and they didn't emphasize the development of romance novels, so there wouldn't be any competition between the two.

"I can consider it." Luoyang's reply left a lot of room for negotiation.

"Let's leave it at that for now, Teacher Bai Yiqing. I will send you our reward, and please consider our sincerity." Shuangyue said seriously.

Then, Shuangyue sent over a draft contract.

After accepting the contract, Luoyang opened it and read it roughly.

The contract stated that as long as Luoyang serialized a long pure love novel on Weibo, the Weibo official would provide sufficient promotion during the serialization period, package him as a master of romance, and pay him 5,000 yuan per thousand words.

"This contract is quite good..."

Luoyang's eyes flickered. 5,000 yuan per thousand words was a super god-level price even in the previous life. Plus, with Weibo's promotion, it was almost a sure win, of course, Weibo would also benefit greatly, as his works could certainly drive the development of Weibo's writing function.

Capitalists wouldn't offer sufficient rewards without profit.

"Teacher Bai Yiqing, how do you feel about it? If you sign this contract and we have a pleasant cooperation, we can offer even more in the future..."

Shuangyue was skilled in negotiation, speaking to the point, somewhat worldly, and somewhat tempting.

"We can talk about it."

Luoyang opened up; such a contract couldn't be signed casually online; only a face-to-face meeting could formalize it.

Shuangyue seemed very happy: "This is a true win-win, you are very wise."

"Thank you."

"Teacher Bai Yiqing, can you tell me your address? We will send someone to meet you..."

Luoyang gave the address of the coffee shop where he signed the contract with Xingchen Novel Network last time.

"Great, Teacher Bai Yiqing, our Weibo headquarters is also in Tiandu. Let's meet tomorrow and sign the contract." Shuangyue said excitedly.

"No problem, I am free at 3 PM tomorrow."

After reading the contract, Luoyang was quite satisfied with Weibo's sincerity, so he agreed readily.

"Boss, do you really have to be so humble? You are the head of the Weibo editorial department..."

In an office, a young employee found Shuangyue's attitude towards Bai Yiqing very strange.

Shuangyue pushed up his glasses and smiled, "Do you think my attitude is too humble?"

"Isn't it? We are Weibo..." The young employee was clearly proud of his company's scale and influence.

"You are right, we are Weibo." Shuangyue took a sip of tea and smiled, "But don't forget, the other party is Bai Yiqing."

"He has countless fans and is the top writer in the current online literature world. Every one of his works is a 100% success! Do you know 'Wushuang'?"

"'Wushuang'?" The young employee had some vague memory, vaguely remembering it was an online novel, but since he didn't read online novels, he didn't have a deep understanding of the book, so he shook his head in confusion.

"Exactly 'Wushuang'!" Shuangyue's voice carried a hint of emotion, "This 'Wushuang' is a long-running fantasy novel by Bai Yiqing, and it is now the undisputed top face of Xingchen Novel Network, with over 7 million collections... and a subscription rate of an unprecedented 5 million!"

"What... 7 million collections, 5 million subscriptions!?"

The young employee drew in a cold breath. Although he didn't read online novels, as an employee of a web company, he could understand the significance of these numbers.

"Now you understand why I am being so humble?—The other party's influence means that he can shine and be extremely popular on any platform similar to Weibo. There are countless web platforms, but there is only one Bai Yiqing!"

There are countless web platforms, but there is only one Bai Yiqing! Shuangyue couldn't find another online writer with the same influence as Bai Yiqing, so he had to be humble and show Bai Yiqing the sincerity of Weibo.
