At this moment, Tony and Little Glasses also rushed to the door and looked out together.
The speed of the convoy was not fast, but the zombies blocking the way were basically crushed under the wheels.
The people in the car also noticed Fat Li and the others, so they stopped in front of the KTV. Four people got out of the first car, and one of them signaled the vehicles behind to stop.
"Be on guard!"
After saying that, everyone got out of the car and dealt with the remaining few zombies.
The weapons they held were far superior to what Fat Li and the others had. Cleavers, steel bars, and even a few with fire axes, they were fully armed.
A white man nearly two meters tall walked a few steps from the KTV entrance. Due to the bloody corpses in front of the door, he couldn't get any closer.
His eyes were blue, very beautiful. He had curly brown hair, somewhat resembling Benedict Cumberbatch.
"Hello, my name is Jones. It seems you had a wild night last night," Jones said jokingly, looking at the bottles of alcohol in Little Glasses' and Tony's hands.
Then, he pointed to Yan Zekun, whose face was covered in blood.
"If you want to go with us, you'd better wash your face first, buddy."
Yan Zekun didn't respond to Jones. Fat Li sized up the number of people and their weapons. Well, there was no doubt that they were far superior to their own group.
However, the others looked young and were likely UEA students.
Jones didn't mind, rubbed his hands, and continued, "Friends, I believe you understand the current situation. Don't wait for others to rescue us; no one will come to save us. We have to rely on our own efforts to survive and go further."
Jones paused slightly, seeing that no one responded, and continued.
"We can only survive in this world of zombies if we unite. I hope you will join us, what do you say?"
After finishing, Jones looked at Fat Li and the other five with sincere eyes.
While Jones was speaking, Fat Li carefully observed this group.
Although the group included both men and women, they were all white, with no Asians or blacks...
It had to be said that although Fat Li had no racial prejudice, it didn't mean others didn't. In this apocalyptic setting, many things couldn't be judged by normal standards.
Moreover, the attitude of local British people towards Asians was far from friendly.
"Where are you going?" Finally, Fat Li broke the silence and asked.
"It seems you are the leader of this group. We are all UEA students, and I believe you are no exception. Although our situation is very dangerous, we are still human. Besides our own safety, we care about many other things, such as family and friends..."
As he spoke, Jones pointed to the people behind him.
"The people we care about or the things we value are still at the University of East Anglia. Our goal is to return to UEA, save the people we care about, and retrieve the things we value. Moreover, the university's facilities, dormitories, water, and food are all excellent places to live."
"Return to UEA? Brother, you must be mistaken!" Tony scratched his head and said.
"Normally, it takes about 30 to 40 minutes to drive from here to our university. But those guys won't let you reach UEA easily," Tony pointed to the corpses on the ground.
"We know this isn't an easy task. That's why we stopped to invite you to join us. We need your help; the more people, the greater the possibility of success!"
Jones paused and then lowered his voice.
"Besides, you wouldn't want to stay here. We just saw another group not far from here. Although they weren't many... I should say, fortunately, they weren't many. Otherwise, we might not be able to chat with you here."
Just as he finished, a blonde woman with blue eyes also walked over and whispered, "They aren't students. If they find you, they won't negotiate with you as we do."
"Sorry, this is my girlfriend, Andrea. Well, friends, time is precious, and we don't know what will happen next. Do you want to go with us? Please give me a direct answer, yes or no?"
The six people all showed hesitant looks.
In Fat Li's view, UEA was indeed a good place. There were countless dormitories, and no matter how many people lived there, it wouldn't be a problem. There was also an artificial lake, so even if the water supply was cut off, the water shortage could still be solved. There were several large supermarkets near the school, so food wouldn't be a concern.
Moreover, there were many Chinese international students at the university. If they could gather together, the chances of survival would be greater.
However...
As Tony said, returning to UEA was too dangerous. It would take more than half an hour by car, and the journey would certainly be fraught with obstacles. Moreover, the roads in Norwich were too narrow. If they encountered a traffic jam, it would be very dangerous.
It was better not to take this risk.
Having made up his mind, Fat Li looked at the others.
Fat Li believed that most people would think the same as him. Traveling with these strangers was too risky. They might be used as cannon fodder at any time, dying without knowing how.
The only uncertain one was Tony. After all, he was British and might prefer to go with Jones and the others.
"Sorry, I don't know what they think, but my answer is no. I hope you have a smooth journey. I think we will definitely meet again," Tony took a few steps back and said.
Unexpectedly, Tony refused Jones' invitation.
The others all turned their gaze to Fat Li, who was the oldest among them. Moreover, he had been very reliable from yesterday to now. Everyone instinctively regarded Fat Li as the backbone of the group.
"Sorry, although I want to go back to UEA with you, I still choose to stay here. Safe journey." Saying this, Fat Li also took a few steps back and gave his answer.
Si Yao and Albe also stepped back without hesitation and stood beside Fat Li.
Yan Zekun thought for a moment, though a bit late, and also refused Jones' invitation.
Unexpectedly, Hao Chen was still hesitating.
"Hao Chen?" Albe called out to her, somewhat worried.
"Brother Li, can you open the door for me? I want to go to UEA with them..."
"Sure."
