"Come back here! I'm not done talking to you yet!"

Lifatzi pretended not to hear and kept his head down, walking straight ahead.

After all, having worked in this KTV for so long, Lifatzi had a thorough understanding of how to deal with drunk people.

"If you weren't drunk, I would definitely argue with you." Lifatzi muttered as he walked to the stairs, just as the manager was coming up.

"Damn! You fatso, did you deliver the drinks to your grandma's house!?"

The manager was also in his twenties, not much older than Lifatzi. The two were old acquaintances. They used to be drinking buddies, but after Lifatzi's family fell on hard times, they lost touch.

By chance, they met on the street one day. After a brief chat, the manager, who happened to be short-staffed at the KTV, did Lifatzi a favor.

Although the KTV job wasn't easy, the salary was decent, and Lifatzi was very grateful to this friend.

"Manager, I'm here. What do you need?"

Despite their hierarchical relationship at the KTV, the two spoke very casually.

In Lifatzi's eyes, this friend was indeed a good manager. He could get along with the staff and keep the boss happy, and most importantly, he could make money. If Lifatzi had a KTV, he would definitely hire him as the manager.

"Did you hear the gunshots outside just now? The police will probably be here soon..." The manager was speaking when the sound of sirens came from outside.

"Here they come. With a murder, they'll probably seal off the scene. We won't be able to do business tonight. Some of the guests didn't bring their ID cards or passports. Find them and tell them to leave quickly!"

Lifatzi nodded and was about to enter the private room.

"Also, try to persuade those still partying to leave. What bad luck, a dead body right in front of the store. Sigh!" The manager went downstairs, muttering, "May the coffin rise and bring wealth, may the coffin rise and bring wealth..."

"Everyone, did you hear the gunshots outside just now?"

...

"Who among you didn't bring their ID card or passport?"

...

Lifatzi looked at his watch, 1 AM. The guests were having a great time, and none of them paid attention to him.

Lifatzi had to raise his voice and shout again.

The guy closest to Lifatzi put down the dice cup, stood up unhappily, and said to Lifatzi, "What are you shouting for? Can't you see we're playing?"

"Sir, I wanted to speak softly, but you wouldn't hear me. There was a shooting outside. Everyone should leave quickly," Lifatzi explained hurriedly.

The guy chuckled and adjusted his sliding glasses.

"Shooting? In a place like Norwich, where nothing ever happens? You must be drunk."

Seeing the group of drunk people laughing foolishly, Lifatzi helplessly pulled over the Queen.

"This lady saw what happened. Don't believe me? Ask her."

The Queen angrily swatted away Lifatzi's hand. She had wanted to go home for a while but didn't want to ruin the atmosphere. The shooting incident was timely, allowing them to finally leave.

The guy with glasses got a positive answer from the Queen and became agitated, muttering unhappily.

"I came here tonight to let off some steam, and this happens. Do you know how hard it is for us international students? We have so much pressure!"

His words immediately resonated with the group.

"Spending our parents' money, drinking and partying here, not studying hard—do you know how much pressure we have!?"

Lifatzi rolled his eyes, acknowledging their self-awareness.

"And our pressure isn't just from people who work harder than us, but from those who are much better than us and still work hard!"

Hearing this, Lifatzi thought of the top students who spent all their time in the library.

It seemed this guy with glasses was a bit of a literary youth.

"Sir, I'm not trying to interrupt your emotional outpouring, but..."

The guy with glasses waved his hand and patted Lifatzi's shoulder. "It's okay, we forgive you. After all, you're just doing your job. Brothers and sisters, how about we go to my apartment? I have all kinds of drinks, plenty to go around!"

The group noisily left the private room. Seeing the Queen about to follow them down the stairs, Lifatzi quickly called her back.

The Queen turned to look at Lifatzi, spreading her hands helplessly. "Sorry, I don't use WeChat or QQ. I just got to the UK, so I haven't even gotten a phone number yet."

Lifatzi, with a black line on his forehead, picked up the black high heels at the door, which the Queen had just taken off.

"I was asking if you want us to hold them at the counter for you."

The Queen blushed and walked over a few steps, saying fiercely, "I've heard of holding drinks, but not shoes!"

She reached out to grab the shoes.

Just as her fingers touched the shoes, the Queen suddenly felt dizzy, swayed, and fell to the ground.

Lifatzi was stunned. Did the alcohol hit her that fast? She just fell over?

The Queen's friends were already downstairs, leaving only Lifatzi and her on this floor.

Is she trying to trick me?

"Miss, I'm not trying to take advantage of you, but you're drunk. Hehe..."

The Queen still had no reaction. He was acting pretty sleazy!

"This isn't working? Looks like she's really drunk." Lifatzi bent down to help the Queen up when he suddenly heard a loud noise from downstairs.

Before he could react, Lifatzi's vision went black, and he fell directly onto the Queen.

His consciousness gradually faded, and Lifatzi mouthed two words silently.

"Damn!"

Lifatzi had a dream. He dreamed he was sitting in an airplane.

The destination was unclear, but it must have been far away because the plane was very large, even bigger than the ones flying from China to the UK.

The plane was full of people, but Lifatzi couldn't see their faces.

Next to Lifatzi sat his brother, his real brother, Li Sheng.

For some reason, Lifatzi wanted to talk to his brother, but when he opened his mouth, no sound came out.

Just as Lifatzi felt a bit strange, the plane suddenly started shaking violently. Even more strangely, Lifatzi could see the plane heading straight for a large black mountain.

The mountain was getting closer, the plane was flying very fast and very low. If it continued, it would crash into the mountain!

The plane suddenly started to climb, but it didn't seem like it could avoid the mountain.

People began to feel desperate. Although Lifatzi couldn't hear their voices or see their faces, he could feel a wave of despair enveloping him.

Lifatzi, frightened, clung to his brother.

Li Sheng patted Lifatzi's hand and said to him,

"The plane is going to crash into the mountain ahead."

"Will we die?"
