Chapter 19: Ah, ah, ah!

I ended up wearing the imperial vintage shirt. The lace of the high collar could barely cover the strawberry marks on my neck.

Fortunately, the weather wasn’t too hot, or else I would’ve killed Zhou Zhitian, this silly dog.

After breakfast, my mother asked me to take Little Wolf Dog to the manor.

Usually, there were servants everywhere in the manor. Today, I didn’t see anyone starting from the Xizhuang Vineyard until the entrance of the wine cellar in the East.

I began to ponder.

“What’s wrong?” Little Wolf Dog took my hand and looked at me.

“Why is there no one in the manor today?” I answered as I scratched my head.

Little Wolf Dog didn’t say anything. He fixed his gaze on my neck, which wasn’t covered by the collar.

I understood at once. It was very likely my mother told people not to appear in front of me so as not to embarrass me.

My ears were a little hot, and I stared at Little Wolf Dog.

It’s all his fault.

The Little Wolf Dog just smiled, “Baby, your house is too big. Let’s take a rest, shall we?”

【Major, can we not do this?】 I looked surprised.

【Whether we can or cannot, don’t you already know?】The Little Wolf Dog has changed. For real.

Before I was marked, he was a little wolf dog on the outside and a little milk dog on the inside.

Now, the outside was the same as the inside.

Hearing what he said, I couldn’t help recalling the way I had looked in front of him in the past week. I was so ashamed that my face turned red.

I quickly took out my hand, turned, and hastily went to the artificial lake up front to sit down.

Little Wolf Dog also came over and sat down, but I was still uncomfortable. I turned my head and stared at the lake without looking at him.

“Baby, did you go to Vilia College for high school?” Little Wolf Dog didn’t continue to tease me; instead, he took my hand and put it in his palm.

“Yeah. Did you go there too?” I heard him change the subject, so I followed his lead.

“Well, I’m two levels younger than you.”

I was waiting to hear what he would say next, but Little Wolf Dog didn’t say anything else after that.

I turned back to look at him: “?”

He rubbed my hair with a smile, “It’s nothing. Just feels like we’re fated for each other.”

Looking back on it, I don’t recall having seen Little Wolf Dog when I was in high school. As I gazed at the lake in front of me, a certain memory suddenly came to mind.

“When I was about to graduate high school, I fell into a lake and was rescued, but I wasn’t very sober at that time. So, I didn’t see who saved me, and I just fainted. When I woke up, I couldn’t find him.”

I thought Little Wolf Dog would be concerned about me, but he just smiled and said, “He may not be able to come to you.”

I didn’t understand why he said that, but I didn’t give it too much thought. The morning breeze was too gentle, and I didn’t want to think.

After sitting around for a while, Little Wolf Dog, out of the blue, said he had a present to give to me.

“What?” He pulled me up.

“Let’s go. I hid it in a certain place. I’ll take you there to find it.” Little Wolf Dog dragged me away.

In the end, we stopped in front of the door of the wine cellar.

“It’s in here, but you have to go in by yourself.” Little Wolf Dog stopped and touched my head.

What is it? So mysterious?

Also, when did he start hiding things in my house?

Is there any surprise? Hehe, this guy’s actually quite romantic.

Thinking of this, I no longer hesitated. I freed my hand from his and went forward to open the door of the wine cellar. Instead of going in right away, I turned back and smiled at Little Wolf Dog and said, “Then wait for me here. I’m going in!”

He smiled and nodded to me before I went into the wine cellar.

“Bang!”

As soon as I went in, the door behind me closed, completely catching me off guard.

I looked back and assumed it was the wind’s doing. I didn’t really care, so I continued to walk in.

My family’s wine cellar was grand in size, and the way was very winding. It was somewhat like a maze. I didn’t come here often and hadn’t been to too deep places.

I expected to find the Little Wolf Dog’s gift in a step or two, but I didn’t see any sign of the suspected gift after weaving through several wine racks. A little confused, I went back and wanted to go out and ask Little Wolf Dog.

I returned to the gate.

Huh? Why can’t you open it?

Eh? Really can’t open it?

Huh? Why can’t I open it?

All of a sudden, “dada dada” sounds came out in the distance behind me, as if something was approaching.

I turned my head and saw nothing, but the sound of “dada” continued. I looked up at the dim lights above my head, then at the deep passage in front of me. My head spun rapidly, and I immediately started making up scary things.

I swallowed my saliva and began to push the door harder with my hands.

The “dada dada” sounds were getting closer and closer!

I wasn’t sure if it was a person or not, but how could a person walk like that!

I was getting more and more flustered. I didn’t come here often because I thought the wine cellar was too scary.

I started banging on the door.

“Open the door! Little Wolf Dog!”

“Open the door! Zhou Zhitian! Quick open the door for me!”

“You dog! Open the door for your ancestors!”

Ah, ah, ah! That voice is behind me!!!

Without warning, a strong gust of wind hit me from behind and threw me against the door. I was so frightened that I immediately shut my eyes closed and “died” on the spot.

However, after waiting for a while, the imaginary pain of my bones breaking didn’t happen. After the unknown thing pounced on me, it stopped using its strength. I only felt something rubbing up against me in my calf.

I summoned up all of my courage. While trembling uncontrollably, I opened my eyes just a crack and looked down.

…??
