Chapter 35

"Hmm? This is... the medicinal ghost spirit actually wants to escape?"

Hu Donghan had just felt a brief moment of joy when he immediately sensed an unusual change within the Soul Chart. The spirit of the medicinal ghost was restless on the Soul Chart, showing a clear intention to break free. Clearly, this medicinal ghost spirit did not want to be controlled by Hu Donghan.

Seeing this, Hu Donghan's face turned cold, and he directly controlled the Soul Chart to suppress the spirit of the medicinal ghost. Then, Hu Donghan turned his gaze to the medicinal ghost in front of him.

The medicinal ghost, seeing Hu Donghan's gaze, immediately put on a pitiful look, clasped its hands, and continuously knelt and bowed to Hu Donghan. In Hu Donghan's mind, he vaguely received the information transmitted by the medicinal ghost, such as "spare me" and "let me go." The current appearance of the medicinal ghost was like that of a child, and with its pitiful expression, if a woman with a lot of sympathy saw it, she would definitely shed tears.

However, all of this was in vain in Hu Donghan's eyes!

Hu Donghan had spent time and effort to cultivate this ordinary ghost into a medicinal ghost spirit, and now the medicinal ghost spirit had the intention to escape. In Hu Donghan's view, this was a provocation! This medicinal ghost spirit clearly treated Hu Donghan as a child who could be deceived!

"From an ordinary ghost to a medicinal ghost spirit, it seems there has been some evolution in intelligence! However, such evolution is better off not existing! Just as it gained intelligence, it wants to break free from my control. Why did I cultivate it then?! The ghost cultivation techniques in the *True Explanation of Ghost Dao* are profound, but everything in it is just a tool, to be used by me! If it can easily rebel, then this intelligence is better off not existing!"

"The techniques of Ghost Dao are just tools for me! A tool dares to have thoughts, then I will... destroy it!"

With a thought, a cold light flashed in Hu Donghan's mind. Then, the main rune on the Soul Chart suddenly vibrated, and the spirit of the medicinal ghost, the only one on it, also flickered. Subsequently, the medicinal ghost that was continuously kneeling and bowing in front of Hu Donghan let out several惨叫声, and then became completely still, not moving at all.

"Forward, backward, left, right, open mouth, make sound..."

Hu Donghan issued commands, watching the medicinal ghost move according to his instructions with a blank expression, and then nodded in satisfaction.

For Hu Donghan, such ghost creatures were ultimately just tools! A tool only needed to be handy to be sufficient. Although sometimes a tool with its own consciousness could save a lot of trouble in certain aspects, once it had its own consciousness, it also meant a significant part would be out of control! This part of being out of control was absolutely not what Hu Donghan wanted to see.

Hu Donghan scanned the medicinal ghost again, nodded in satisfaction, and then, upon seeing the ghost spirit light inside the medicinal ghost, he exclaimed in surprise, "Ah!"

"This ghost spirit light has already turned green? That means this medicinal ghost spirit has become a low-grade ghost spirit?" A trace of surprise flashed in Hu Donghan's eyes, and then he became enlightened, "No wonder this medicinal ghost spirit had the intention to rebel so early. It's because it has become a low-grade ghost spirit. The higher the level of a ghost spirit, the more complete its intelligence. Indeed, that's true. However, I don't need such intelligence!"

Hu Donghan called the medicinal ghost spirit to his side, touched it, and then thought, "This medicinal ghost spirit is just newly formed. Although its soul body is complete, it is not solid. Moreover, due to my previous forced suppression of its intelligence, its soul body has been affected to some extent. If I don't quickly solidify its form, it might dissipate in just a few days. Therefore, the top priority is to establish a solidification place!"

"The solidification place is based on the free-floating soul power in the Soul Chart, and the yin and ghost qi formed by dispersing wandering souls, creating a temporary yin place suitable for nurturing souls. Once the solidification place is formed, I just need to pay attention to the amount of yin and ghost qi in the yin place. When the amount of yin and ghost qi decreases, I can add an appropriate amount of soul bodies. At this stage, if I am only cultivating one medicinal ghost spirit, the solidification place formed by wandering souls should be sufficient..."

"Unfortunately, this medicinal ghost spirit is just newly formed and cannot use any miscellaneous techniques. Otherwise, with the help of a ghost spirit, I wouldn't even need to add wandering souls to the solidification place."

Hu Donghan thought, already summoning the soul power from the Soul Chart in his mind, and using the power of the main rune to quickly establish a solidification place in one corner of the room.

Once the solidification place was formed, Hu Donghan touched the soul ring on his hand, and one after another, wandering souls emerged from the soul ring. Hu Donghan used his soul power to guide them into the solidification place. When all ninety wandering souls had entered, the corner was densely packed with them. However, due to the effectiveness of the main rune, these wandering souls were trapped inside and could not escape. Therefore, unless Hu Donghan changed the main rune, there was no need to worry about the wandering souls escaping.

Then, Hu Donghan narrowed his eyes, summoned all the surrounding spiritual power, and struck the group of wandering souls.

These wandering souls were just the most basic soul bodies. In the terms of cultivators, these wandering souls were just a group of ordinary people, even weaker than ordinary people. Hu Donghan's spiritual power did not require any practical techniques; it just surged like waves, shattering all ninety wandering souls, separating them into yin and ghost qi. For a moment, the yin and ghost qi in the solidification place became much denser!

"Go!" The solidification place was already formed, and Hu Donghan issued a command to the medicinal ghost spirit through the Soul Chart.

The medicinal ghost spirit, now without intelligence, was a very easy-to-control puppet. At Hu Donghan's command, the medicinal ghost spirit obediently entered.

The solidification place was originally the best place for newly transformed soul bodies like the medicinal ghost spirit to solidify their forms. Once it entered, the medicinal ghost spirit instinctively began to absorb the surrounding yin and ghost qi. As it continuously absorbed the yin and ghost qi, the medicinal ghost spirit flickered, growing and shrinking.

Hu Donghan observed the medicinal ghost spirit in the solidification place for a moment, then closed his eyes and sat down to recover his own spiritual power.

By running the Profound Yin Heart Method, Hu Donghan's spiritual power recovery speed, under the influence of the *True Explanation of Ghost Dao* main principles, was now three times faster than before! In the past, it took Hu Donghan nearly an hour to fully recover his spiritual power; now, it only took fifteen minutes.
