"Think, I can't stop thinking about it. If I ever see him, I'll crush him like a bug!" Jiang Han gritted his teeth, rubbed his hands hard as if the person was already in his grasp.
Yun Lao looked at him with a smile, stroked his beard, and said, "Your wish is about to come true."
"Uh! Uh??" Jiang Han nodded heavily, suddenly froze, instantly reacted, and almost fell off his chair.
"Whoosh!"
Without any hesitation, Jiang Han vanished in a flash, chair and all, and the next moment appeared beside Yun Lao, nervously looking around.
"Where? Where?"
"Didn't you say you'd crush him like a bug?" Yun Lao's face was filled with a mischievous smile.
"Ahem... I don't think I said that, Yun Lao must have misunderstood." Jiang Han laughed dryly, eyes darting around, and whispered, "Where is he?"
"Just now he was ten miles away, now... he's almost here." Yun Lao looked up at the sky, a glint of light in his cloudy eyes, and said calmly.
Yun Lao's calmness reassured Jiang Han, indicating that Yun Lao had the confidence to deal with the person. Jiang Han relaxed and sat quietly on the chair, not speaking.
Through the window, Jiang Han clearly saw a small dot appear in the distance, and in a blink, it was above the village, finally stopping over Skull Mountain.
The man in black robes, with a face as withered as a skull, eyes filled with malice, hovered in the air, as if sensing something. He nodded and descended, landing steadily on the top of Skull Mountain, motionless.
Jiang Han glanced at Yun Lao in surprise. The black-robed man hadn't sensed them, which meant Yun Lao had done something. This indicated a significant gap between the black-robed man and Yun Lao.
Yun Lao sat calmly, not even glancing at the black-robed man, gently stroking Xiao Bai's fur.
As the sky grew darker, Yun Lao remained still, and Jiang Han dared not make a sound, sitting quietly on the white jade chair, watching the black-robed man.
Clearly, a faint black aura enveloped the black-robed man, threads of it sinking into Skull Mountain, then being absorbed back into his body.
"This... is even more vicious than the Nine Yin White Bone Claw!" Jiang Han felt a chill.
After a long while, Yun Lao suddenly spoke softly, his voice calm and emotionless: "He practices a dark art, requiring 999 skulls, and 81 days of cultivation to succeed."
Almost instantly, the black-robed man sensed it, his eyes snapping open, staring at the small house. With a wave of his hand, a large black hand shot toward the house.
Jiang Han's heart skipped a beat at the sight of the huge palm.
Fortunately, Yun Lao was there. Though Jiang Han was a bit anxious, he wasn't too worried, believing Yun Lao would handle it.
Just as Jiang Han was thinking, the black hand descended, smashing the house to pieces, but Yun Lao and Jiang Han inside were untouched.
Jiang Han tried to look calm, took out a bottle of wine, and took a big gulp... to calm his nerves. When the black hand descended, Yun Lao didn't move, scaring him half to death. Fortunately, it was just a false alarm...
This scene made the black-robed man's pupils contract sharply, his gaze on Yun Lao filled with extreme caution.
"Who are you? Do we have a grudge?"
The black-robed man's voice was dry and raspy, unpleasant to the ear, worse than a swarm of mosquitoes buzzing around.
Yun Lao didn't even look at him, speaking to himself: "Wearing black robes, name unknown. Long-term infiltrator in the Nine Sword Empire, secretly massacred over forty villages, leading to a manhunt. Later fled to the Ask Heaven Empire, secretly massacred over thirty villages, leading to another manhunt. A vague sect is involved, providing him shelter, but the exact location is unknown."
"Old Skull, is what I said correct?"
The black-robed man, called Old Skull, his face changed dramatically, but quickly shook his head, "I don't know what you're talking about."
"It doesn't matter whether you know or not!" Yun Lao laughed lightly, "In the end, it's a dead end for you."
"Want to kill me? You need the qualifications!" Old Skull laughed savagely, black aura surging around him, like a grim reaper, terrifying and sinister.
"Ha ha ha! Whether I have the qualifications isn't up to you to decide!"
Yun Lao suddenly laughed loudly, handing Xiao Bai to Jiang Han, then slowly stood up, his aura skyrocketing. At that moment, Jiang Han felt Yun Lao transform into a fierce beast, his aura like an insurmountable mountain, calm yet wildly brutal.
Jiang Han's eyes were full of shock. Could people in this world be so powerful? This aura, like heaven and earth, could probably destroy a city on Earth with a wave of the hand!
In just an instant, Old Skull's already pale face became even paler, his body trembling uncontrollably. He wasn't weak, but in front of Yun Lao, he was like a newborn child.
"You, you are... a, a..." The terrifying aura from Yun Lao made him think of something terrifying, even losing the desire to fight!
Run!
Old Skull's mind was filled with fear, only one thought: run.
"Whoosh!"
He suddenly turned into a black aura, racing away at a speed at least dozens of times faster than Jiang Han's Ghost Step at full speed!
"Want to run? Can you escape?" Yun Lao sneered, casually waving his hand.
Jiang Han was confused. To him, Yun Lao's wave seemed to have no effect, not matching the intense aura he had just displayed.
But soon, he was shocked.
In the air, the fleeing Old Skull seemed to hit an invisible wall, bouncing back and reforming from a black aura into a human shape.
His face was full of terror, and he quickly changed direction, flying away.
But no matter which direction he went, the result was the same: he was bounced back by the invisible wall.
After several attempts, Old Skull finally broke down, roaring wildly, "What do you want?!"
As a Martial Emperor, he had never felt so humiliated. Even when pursued by the Nine Sword Empire, he had only been in a bind, managing to counter-kill a few.
But he never expected the Ask Heaven Empire to send such a powerful expert, plunging him into despair.
"Idiot!" Jiang Han commented.
Yun Lao had clearly said he would kill him, yet he still asked such a question. What else could he be but an idiot?
Old Skull naturally heard Jiang Han's words, but he had no time to care. This was a matter of life and death. The gray-robed expert had a reason not to kill him; otherwise, he believed that a wave of the gray-robed expert's hand would turn him to dust!
The gap between them was too great!
"Nothing, I just want to know which sect is protecting you," Yun Lao said calmly.
Old Skull's face lit up, and he quickly said, "If I tell you, will you let me go?"
"Sure." Yun Lao nodded.
"How can I trust you?" Old Skull asked cautiously.
"You have no choice," Yun Lao said coldly, "Die, or tell me, and you might live."
"I don't trust you!" Old Skull's face hardened, and he shook his head.
"Then, you can die." Yun Lao extended his hand, fingers spread, toward Old Skull.
Old Skull's face changed drastically, and he shouted, "If you kill me, you'll never know which sect!"
Yun Lao ignored him, just looking at Old Skull, fingers slowly closing.
"I... I'll tell! I'll tell! Stop, stop... ah..." Old Skull screamed, his body visibly being compressed, slowly deforming.
From a distance, Jiang Han seemed to hear the sound of flesh splattering and bones breaking, shuddering, and feeling a new fear for Yun Lao.
Damn, this method of killing is truly cruel, squeezing someone to death. He suddenly realized that although Yun Lao always seemed kind, he was a super expert! How many people who reached that level could be kind?
"Pfft!"
In the end, Old Skull turned into a puddle of blood, falling from the sky.
"Hey, Yun Lao, you killed him, how will you know which sect sheltered him?" Jiang Han couldn't help but ask.
Yun Lao smiled, not answering, but his gaze was fixed on a certain point in the void, calm.
"Will you come out on your own, or do I have to invite you?"
