Nature Area

The next day had arrived.

I get out of bed and get ready to leave the dormitory. As I stood on the lawn I looked toward the sky. There flew the dragon I was used to seeing at this point.

It’s a warm day and I yawn with ease.

Today is Saturday, and there’s really no class so it’s quite easy.

It’s sort of an assembly where Vice Principal Harman will make an announcement, nothing to worry about.

“Everyone! We’re going on an excursion!”

First hour and this is what Vice Principal Harman had proclaimed.

Holding a cigar as usual, Vice-Principal Harman raised the cigar to her mouth with a seemingly youthful vigor.

Monica cried out “Huh?!”

“What do you mean by excursion?! It’s the weekend!”

Even Himari seemed to be concerned at the idea of an excursion on the weekend.

“There are five areas in this school. School area. Commercial area. Residential area. Natural area. Archaeological area. Today, we will go into the nature area. We will collect herbs. We will use them in elixirs. You will each make your own recipe and whoever submits the best recipe wins.”

Really?

What do they expect us to know about elixirs?

“Make a group of 3 people. After arriving in the natural area, work in that group and submit your elixirs along with them.”

Alright, convenient.

“Charles, team up?”

“Sure…”

Rand? I don’t think he’s familiar with elixirs, but I can’t refuse. I only know so many people in this place.

I have no choice but to bet on them.

I found Himari in the corner of my field of vision.

Himari is glancing over at me. Perhaps…?

“Ehem.”

I even cleared my throat.

“Well, Himari. Would you like to join us?”

“Hmm. I suppose.”

Himari is still as normal as ever.

“Once you have a group, decide on a leader. Leaders should come to pick up knives and baskets for harvesting.”

Naturally, Himari was the leader of our band.

We left the school area, crossed the bridge and entered the natural area.
