Lanling has made up his mind; he is going to confess his love and propose to his sister!
Since he was a young boy, he has secretly loved his sister in his heart. She is the most perfect woman in the world. Her beauty, her eyes, her every frown and smile, the curve of her slender waist, and every move she makes have always captivated Lanling.
He never dared to say it out loud, but sometimes it would come out in his sleep.
Of course, she is not his biological sister.
Lanling is an orphan, not knowing who his parents are. But he was lucky and was adopted at the age of four.
September 9th, the day he was adopted, he set as his birthday.
His memory of the day he was adopted is quite vague, but he remembers a very beautiful sister with large eyes following his adoptive parents.
After being adopted, Lanling lived a happy and warm life. Both his adoptive parents and his sister, who is seven years older, treated him very well, especially his sister, who was willing to give him anything.
But good times didn't last long. When Lanling was seven, his adoptive parents were in a car accident.
Lanling became an orphan again, and so did his sister, who was fourteen at the time.
Lanling was to be sent back to the orphanage, while his sister was to live with her aunt. But his sister clung to him tightly and refused to let go, so Lanling went with her to the unfamiliar aunt's house.
Life in the new home was not good. The unfamiliar aunt and uncle were not kind to either Lanling or his sister. They already had a ten-year-old son who often bullied Lanling. His sister, protecting Lanling, often argued and even fought with her cousin.
So, when his sister turned sixteen, she took Lanling and left the aunt's house, returning to their own home.
From that day on, at the age of sixteen, she dropped out of school. She not only had to support herself but also take care of the nine-year-old Lanling.
For ten years, the two of them relied on each other. His sister, with her own hands, not only supported the two of them but also sent Lanling to a prestigious university's art department.
Now, Lanling is nineteen, a third-year student, and will graduate next year.
His sister is twenty-six, the most beautiful age for a woman. She is truly beautiful, both in face and figure, and has had countless suitors since she turned eighteen.
But a few months ago, her beautiful face was disfigured by a rich second-generation man who, out of hatred for being rejected, hired someone to throw sulfuric acid on her face. Although she quickly dodged, half of her face was still completely disfigured.
Her once enchanting face became a source of fear for others.
The perpetrator was caught and sentenced to a few years in prison, but the mastermind behind the crime remains at large.
A gentleman avenges a wrong, but Lanling cannot wait ten years. He has already scoped out the rich second-generation man's routine and planned three different schemes, all with the same outcome.
Kill him and escape smoothly!
He has made all the necessary preparations and is just waiting for the rich second-generation man to appear. After killing him, he will propose to his sister.
But time is running out. After being discharged from the hospital, his sister has become depressed. Her charming smile is gone, and she is afraid to see anyone, even herself. She is gradually having suicidal thoughts.
So, he has decided, regardless of societal judgment, to confess his love and propose to his sister.
This is not out of sympathy; it is entirely out of love. No matter what, his sister is the most perfect woman in his heart.
...
Tomorrow is his sister's birthday, and tonight there is a once-in-a-century meteor shower. So, he plans to make a beautiful confession video.
Lanling took a DV and climbed to the highest mountain, where the air is the best and the meteor shower can be seen clearly.
At an altitude of a thousand meters, there is no air pollution, and the stars in the dark sky are clearly visible.
The once-in-a-century meteor shower is indeed breathtaking, with a magnificent meteor streaking across the sky every few minutes.
Lanling waited, knowing that the meteor shower would reach its peak at midnight, with several meteors streaking across the sky at once.
While waiting, he thought about how to confess to his sister. He has already written three versions, but hasn't decided which one to use. He also imagined her reaction to his confession.
Does his sister like him? Otherwise, why hasn't she accepted any of the suitors over the years? Perhaps she is also afraid of societal judgment.
Moreover, after he said something in his sleep and she heard it, her face was flushed with shyness and joy for several days.
It's midnight!
Sure enough, the meteor shower reached its peak, with a dreamlike scene as a dozen meteors streaked across the sky.
Lanling stood in front of the DV, with his back to the meteor shower, and began his confession.
He had already written three versions, each incredibly romantic and heartfelt.
But he is so nervous that he has forgotten everything and can't remember any of it.
Even though he is confessing to the camera, Lanling is as nervous as if he were standing in front of his sister. He was not this nervous even when he traveled thousands of miles to buy chemical toxins to kill the rich second-generation man.
But the meteor shower is fleeting, so Lanling took a deep breath and said, "Sister... Lankou, I love you. Marry me. I swear to the meteor that I will take care of you for the rest of my life and make you happy and joyful..."
At that moment, a particularly bright meteor, glowing with a golden light, as if carrying a strange energy, flew from the sky, getting closer and closer to Lanling.
"Boom..."
Just as Lanling finished his confession, the strange meteor struck him directly on the head.
Instantly, Lanling was obliterated, his entire body vanishing without a trace.
A few days later, Lanling's school reported that the third-year student Lanling had gone missing. When the police went to Lanling's home, they found that his sister Lankou was also missing. There was a volleyball-sized hole in the wall, with traces of being burned by extreme heat.
Thus, the disappearance of Lanling and Lankou was classified as a top-secret event, and all records of their existence were destroyed.

When Lanling woke up again, he found himself in a strange world. He was still on a mountain, but it was definitely not the one where he filmed the meteor shower.
Moreover, many of the plants here were unfamiliar to Lanling.
Most importantly, at night, he saw two moons, one large and one small. At first, he thought it was an illusion, but even after rubbing his eyes, there were still two moons in the sky.
At that moment, he thought it was a unique astronomical phenomenon. But during the day, he saw an animal that completely dispelled his doubts.
He saw a griffin, a huge creature flying high in the sky. Such an animal does not exist on Earth; it only exists in legends.
Then, he saw a beautiful and timid animal, a unicorn!
Thus, he was certain that he had been transported to another world.
The meteor that struck him had brought him to this strange world.
Lanling could not accept the reality of his situation and was almost completely broken.
He frantically searched the mountain, trying to find a portal back to Earth. On Earth, there was the person he loved most, the person he wanted to propose to, the person he wanted to take care of for the rest of his life, and the person with whom he wanted to have two or three children.
He also wanted to kill the rich second-generation man.
"Damn heavens, damn heavens, send me back, send me back!"
Lanling searched frantically for the non-existent portal and then cursed the heavens.
After ten days of this madness, he gradually realized that he probably could never return, that he would never go back.
Thus, he became despondent, found a cave, and lay there motionless. He thought of his sister every moment.
He thought of every look, every expression, every word she had ever said to him.
Each memory played in his mind like a movie. In these memories, he was certain that his sister loved him. Her eyes and tone revealed it, but he had been too naive to see it before.
Moreover, when he secretly kissed and touched her while she was sleeping, her face had turned red. But he had convinced himself that she was asleep and didn't know what he was doing.
Thinking about these memories, Lanling felt both immense sweetness and immense pain.
In this mix of pain and sweetness, the exhausted Lanling finally fell into a deep sleep.
...
Lanling fell into an unprecedented deep sleep and entered a mysterious dream.
In the dream, there was complete darkness, then a faint light appeared, like a firefly.
The light flickered weakly, appearing very fragile, as if it could go out at any moment. But it also had a mysterious aura, gently pulsing, as if it were breathing, as if it had a life of its own.
Lanling carefully observed the firefly-like light.
"Hello, my new host," the light said. Of course, it didn't make a sound; it directly interfered with Lanling's brain waves, injecting its consciousness into his mind.
Lanling was startled and asked, "Who are you?"
"I am the Demon Star," the strange light said.
Lanling was shocked and asked, "You are the meteor that struck me and brought me to this world?"
"Yes," the Demon Star said.
Lanling became furious and demanded, "Why did you do this? Send me back, send me back to Earth!"
"Impossible," the Demon Star said. "I have already used most of my energy to bring you to this world. I am now on my last breath."
"Why did you do this? Bastard, bastard," Lanling angrily said. "On Earth, my sister needs my care and protection."
Lanling continued to curse, but the Demon Star listened silently, without any response.
After a long while, Lanling gradually calmed down and asked, "Why did you bring me to this world? Why me?"
"I am following the will of my previous host, who brought you to this world," the Demon Star said.
Lanling asked, "Who is your previous host?"
"I am sorry, I don't know," the Demon Star said.
"How can you not know?" Lanling asked.
"I am an energy life form. After separating from my host, I lost all my memories. So, I don't know who my previous host was," the Demon Star said.
Lanling asked, "Why did you bring me to this world? What do you want me to do?"
"I don't know," the Demon Star said after a moment of silence. "In my remaining consciousness, there seems to be a message, perhaps your mission in this world."
"What?" Lanling asked.
"Destroy this world," the Demon Star said.
Lanling's body trembled violently.
