It's the second update! Clicks and all, I can handle it!

"Sorry, sorry." Cook quickly held the small thing in his hand, but he clearly felt it struggling inside, repeatedly spitting out one word: "Eat! Eat! Eat!" It was obvious that the bag contained something the little guy wanted to eat.

"Hehe, don't mind, this little guy just came out." Naris smiled and explained.

"It's obvious." The young man, who was the owner of the large hand, glanced at the bag on Cook's back; the frying pan was still sticking out.

"Brother, what are you selling?" Cook looked at the leather bag on the ground with confusion.

"Hehe, the meat of a magic beast, but it's just a low-level 0-grade magic beast. The Mage Guild doesn't want it, so I came here to try my luck." The young man replied with a smile.

"Magic beast meat??" Cook looked at the leather bag on the ground with curiosity.

"0-grade magic beasts are between magic beasts and wild animals. Cook, you can buy some. The meat of a 0-grade magic beast is very beneficial to the human body, especially for beginners who have just awakened their fighting spirit." Naris explained to Cook.

"But I only have nine silver coins left." Cook weakly said, shaking his money bag.

"Hehe, nine silver coins is not a small amount. This 0-grade magic beast was killed by me casually. Considering you've awakened your fighting spirit, I'll give you a leg for nine silver coins." The young man smiled helplessly, then opened the leather bag and pulled out a rabbit, but this rabbit had light blue fur.

"Isn't this a rabbit?" Cook asked in surprise, looking at the not-so-big rabbit leg, which was worth nine silver coins.

"Cook!" At that moment, someone gently patted Cook's shoulder.

"Uncle Jim." Cook looked and found that Old Jim was standing behind him, still dressed as a shop owner.

"Cook, how come you didn't tell Uncle Jim that you've awakened your fighting spirit?" Old Jim asked with a serious look, clearly unhappy.

"Uncle Jim, I came to buy something, and I didn't want to disturb you because you were busy." Cook said, referring to Old Jim sleeping, as he ran a tavern and usually slept late.

"Not honest!" Old Jim said with a smile, but there was a hint of joy in his eyes.

"What kind of fighting spirit?" Old Jim continued to ask with a smile.

"Wood-type!" Cook said with some pride. In fact, Cook was quite proud because, according to Viscount Locke, wood-type fighting spirit did not harm the body but was beneficial, such as self-healing ability and endurance, which were better than other types of fighting spirit. Of course, the attack and defense power would be lower, but Cook didn't care; after all, the body was the capital of revolution.

"Wood-type?" Old Jim repeated, somewhat surprised and shocked.

"Yes!" Cook scratched his head and answered.

"Then you must have elven blood, what talent did you awaken?" Old Jim asked excitedly.

"No elven blood, it's the blood of a rabbit person. The talent I awakened is 'Beast Speech.'" Cook answered somewhat awkwardly, as he wasn't sure if the so-called beast people and elves were the same as in the legends of that world.

"Ha!" The young man selling magic beast meat laughed out loud.

"I almost forgot, rabbit blood has a chance to awaken wood-type, but how is 'Beast Speech' not a good talent?" Old Jim asked, somewhat puzzled.

"A rare but useless talent!" The young man said with a smile.

"Alright, Cook, let's go. Uncle Jim will give you a piece of magic beast meat; this water rabbit isn't suitable for you." Old Jim waved his hand and said.

"Uncle Jim, no need, I want to take some back for my family to try." Cook quickly declined.

"Then let's buy it together. Your Uncle Jim has nothing, but he has some money." Old Jim waved his hand again, and two big men walked up and took the rabbit.

"Go to Jim's tavern to get the money." Old Jim never looked at the young man directly, and the big man instructed the young man.

"Yes! I know." The young man nodded quickly, clearly aware of Old Jim's reputation.

"Let's go, Cook. Hey! What's this thing?" Old Jim looked at the small thing in Cook's palm with surprise.

Cook explained to Old Jim as they walked, and Naris followed behind with a strange expression. When Old Jim heard that it was bought from the middle-aged man, he laughed and said, "Hehe, they're all garbage from the Mage Guild, but there are valuable things, though they are rare. But your pet doesn't seem very well-behaved?"

"I don't know why, but it wants to eat that... water rabbit." Cook stuttered, as the name "water rabbit" was quite strange.

"Uh!" Old Jim then carefully examined the white, fluffy spider in Cook's hand. It didn't look different, and its size wasn't particularly special, but Old Jim had heard that spiders eat meat, though they were high-level magic beasts called magic spiders.

"It's impossible!" Old Jim examined it thoroughly, but Cook wasn't a biologist and didn't know that a spider being the size of a thumb at birth was significant. Even on Earth, spiders are not much bigger than a pinhead when born, but can grow to several tens of centimeters in adulthood. If this growth ratio were converted, well, those who are not good at math can just go to bed!

Of course, as a security guard, there was no obligation to learn this, so he ignored this critical issue. As for Jim, well, this world seemed not very advanced! Science was probably the biggest enemy of this world.

"Boss...!" At that moment, a big man rushed over and whispered to Old Jim.

"Alright, Cook, go back first. I have something urgent to attend to. When you get to the inn, someone will bring you the gift I gave you." Old Jim left in a hurry, and at that moment, Cook realized that Old Jim might not be an ordinary person, as many people followed him, clearly Old Jim's people.

"Let's go, Cook. You're the first person to be treated like this by Old Jim. If you have any trouble, come to him!" Naris patted Cook's shoulder and said earnestly.

"Uh! Brother Naris, shouldn't we go back?" Cook was now very homesick, and for some reason, he had a vague feeling about his father, mother, and sister, as if they were very important, yet not very important!

"No, Cook, hurry up. Look, aren't there more patrols on the street?" Naris asked, becoming alert.

"It seems so?" Cook looked at the patrols riding by and had a sense of foreboding.
