Second update!

"What, you want to take a squire?" Luo Li asked with a strange look on her face.

"Yes, my lord, I just won the duel." Cook's head was held high.

"Hmm, did you have an agreement before the duel? Were there any witnesses?" Luo Li nodded and then asked.

"Agreement? Witnesses?" Cook's face was full of confusion.

"Pfft!" Luo Li was taken aback, and the unknown potion in her hand started to emit a puff of green smoke, clearly indicating it had failed.

"Damn it, damn it, another failure. Tell me about the duel?" Luo Li immediately started cursing, but then turned to Cook and asked.

"Uh, it's... ." Cook recounted the events in detail, and the more he spoke, the stranger Luo Li's expression became.

In the end, Luo Li burst out laughing: "Haha, haha, I'm dying of laughter. There's actually a duel like that. I'm sorry to tell you, Cook, but you can't get anything from the other party because you didn't have an agreement on what the loser would pay, and there were no witnesses."

"Uh, then wasn't it a waste of effort?" Cook asked in shock.

"Ha ha, not only that, but you disturbed me just now, so my experiment failed. Since you are my squire, I won't go into details, but the material cost is 50 gold coins, which you need to compensate. I'll just deduct it from your money. You can go now." Luo Li chuckled and picked up the magical materials to start experimenting again.

"But, but, pfft!" Cook had just said two "buts" when Luo Li's experiment failed again, turning his face green.

"100 gold coins." Luo Li continued to prepare for the next experiment without looking back.

"Mommy!" Seeing Luo Li about to start another experiment, Cook quickly ran away, realizing that if he didn't run, he would definitely owe Luo Li money.

"Damn woman, rotten woman, no one wants you. You blame me for your failed experiment." After running out, Cook vented his anger, but he didn't dare use too harsh words, as it was said that mages were very sensitive in this regard.

"What went wrong? Why does it keep failing?" Luo Li was carefully examining a delicate scroll, which contained some twisted text, clearly a formula.

"Alright, you can go." Cook looked at Mike, who had panda eyes, and said rudely.

"Go? You despicable guy, you ambushed me?" Mike shouted in a hoarse voice.

"Ambush? Who saw it?" Cook turned around, and there were only two pack horses, a spider, and a chipmunk here.

"It doesn't count. In battle, you should strike first. The so-called chivalry on the battlefield is just asking for death." One of the pack horses replied.

"Right, I've seen it many times. Whenever I sense something wrong, I run first." The other pack horse also said.

"Click click!" The little spider clicked its front claws.

"I'm going to beat him up; he's even poorer than me." The little rascal fiercely waved its little claws.

"Poorer than me?" Cook looked at the little rascal in surprise.

"This guy only had two copper coins on him. I at least have a gold necklace stored with you." The chipmunk said angrily.

"Sweat!" Cook understood; he must have gone out, and the little rascal must have gone after this guy.

"Right, two copper coins aren't worth robbing." Cook nodded.

"Wrong, I confiscated the two copper coins. They are our spoils of war, after all. Even a mosquito's leg is meat." The little rascal waved the two copper coins and said in a lecturing tone.

"You bandits, bandits, those are mine." Mike looked at the two copper coins and shouted.

"Two copper coins, and you have the nerve to say that?" Cook asked disdainfully.

"Do you know what? They are from the ancient magic era, each worth... ." Mike started to shout but then realized he had slipped up.

"Let me see." Cook was the fastest, grabbed the little rascal, and carefully examined the two copper coins, while the little rascal was thrown aside.

"My, that's half mine." The little rascal finally reacted, jumping up to grab them back.

"Click click!" Cook immediately said two words.

"You're ruthless!" The little rascal wilted at these words. There was no way around it; click click was like a metal lump, hard and incredibly strong. Every time the little rascal tried to deal with click click, he ended up crying and calling for his parents.

"Hmm!" Cook didn't understand what was special about the copper coins, but he still nodded and carefully put them away.

"Those are my copper coins." Mike shouted again.

"Who can prove they are yours? Are there any witnesses? Any evidence?" Cook rolled his eyes and asked.

"How can you be like this, with no chivalry at all?" Mike said in a fit of rage.

"I'm a hunter." Cook rolled his eyes and explained.

"You have no manners, no gentlemanly conduct." Mike found what he thought was the most vicious language.

"Hmph, my father is a fisherman, and I was still a servant in the kitchen a month ago. As for being a gentleman, please, I'm just a country bumpkin from the countryside." Cook huffed and explained in detail.

"Uh! I'll go find your master, Mage Luo Li." Mike was stunned for a moment before speaking.

"Be my guest!" Cook wasn't afraid at all.

"Aren't you afraid?" Seeing Cook's reaction, Mike became nervous and turned to ask.

"Afraid of what? It's just two copper coins. I can easily take two out here. But you, Lady Luo Li is doing an experiment. I was just fined 500 gold coins. If you disturb her, you'll have to pay a lot of money. I'm her squire, after all." Cook had nothing to lose.

"500 gold coins!" Mike immediately pulled back his legs.

"That's the material cost. Of course, you might not have to pay for the loss, but you'll face the wrath of a mage. I forgot to tell you, Lady Luo Li's father is a fire mage. You know how temperamental fire mages can be, ha ha!" Seeing Mike's expression, Cook felt much more relaxed and continued.

"Hmph, I'm not leaving. If you don't give them back, I'll follow you until you do." Mike then said something Cook didn't expect.

"You're being a pest, a pest! Gentlemen's manners!" Cook didn't want such a handsome guy to be around Miki all the time and couldn't help shouting.

"I'm being a pest, and I can make up lies. What can you do about it?" Mike had no more of his previous demeanor, looking like he was going to stick to Cook.

"Hmph, if you stick to me, I'll charge you. You need to have some substance, substance!" Cook threatened and mocked.

"This is best. I'll leave when the value of the two copper coins is used up. This is better than leaving now. I make a living by my mouth." Mike looked like he wasn't losing out and smiled.

"Uh!" Cook was now in a dilemma, whether to keep this person around or give back the copper coins. It was a gamble on the value of the two copper coins. Of course, if Cook could get Luo Li to appraise them, he might make a decision, but he didn't want to face that money-obsessed mage again.

"The Mammoth Legion is here." Just as Cook was in a dilemma, a loud roar echoed, followed by a deep horn sound. Cook and the others felt the ground shaking, and they quickly ran out.
