The second update has arrived! Thank you, Great Siren Yiye, for your visit again. Thanks for your generosity!

"Ah! Haha! Haha!" Mike, being very agile, immediately lay on the ground, clearly stunned by what happened yesterday, but then he burst into laughter.

Because Cook suddenly jumped up, grabbed a large piece of wood, and faced off against the forest giant wolf. Mitch, on the side, opened her mouth wide. When Lori saw this, she remembered what had just happened and instantly felt a headache.

"Mike, what are you laughing at? Aren't you going to get up and help?" Cook, keeping a wary eye on the giant wolf, said irritably.

"Hehe, hehehe!" Little Bad also laughed mischievously on the side.

"Mich, what's wrong with you?" Cook, seeing that Mitch was not far from the giant wolf, was about to speak, but unexpectedly, Mitch waved her hand, and the giant wolf ran over like a pet dog, even rubbing against Mitch affectionately. Cook immediately had a bad feeling.

"Cook...!" Sure enough, behind him, Lori's soprano voice rang out.

"Ah!!!!" Instantly, a scream echoed through the mountain hollow.

"Hmph, what do you think of this Ceylon Empire Royal Guard emblem?" Lori glared at someone, as she had never been tackled by a man before, let alone pressed down heavily.

"Probably the elite of the Ceylon Empire." Mike finally stroked his chin and said.

"Rubbish! I already said it's the Royal Guard." Lori said irritably.

"Then there must be a big figure ahead." Mitch said weakly.

"Smart! You live up to being my student, this reaction...!" Lori immediately praised, while Mike had a headache.

"What about you, Cook?" Lori now subtly regarded Cook as the main force of the team.

"I think there must be a big secret. Otherwise, the Ceylon Empire's Royal Guard wouldn't be here. Logically, the Royal Guard should be guarding a royal figure, perhaps someone overseeing the battle?" Cook, with limited information, boldly guessed. As the name suggests, the Royal Guard is similar to the Tang Dynasty's Imperial Guard.

"Big secret, does the Ceylon Empire have some grand conspiracy?" When Lori's eyes lit up and she said this, Cook knew things were not good and quickly said.

"But if it's a grand conspiracy, the security must be extremely tight. Shouldn't we report this information to Lord Melif first?" Cook had to say this.

"No need, let's see how we crush this conspiracy. Cook, from now on, we will implement wartime marching regulations." Lori loudly commanded.

"No need, in the middle of nowhere?" Cook almost fell over when he heard this. The so-called wartime regulations meant no fires, no loud noises, no solo actions, and so on, a series of don'ts.

"Hmph, who knows if there are any hidden sentries ahead? We will prepare to travel light, leaving all supplies here in a hidden place. This task is assigned to you, Cook." Lori had the air of a commander.

"Why me?" Cook looked at Mike.

"You're a hunter, Mike is a bard. Are you not me?" Lori said irritably.

When Cook saw the supplies to be left behind, he couldn't help but exclaim, "Is this all there is? What about the rest?"

"That's what I need to carry with me." Lori pointed to a large bag on the giant wolf's back, and Cook was speechless. The so-called supplies were just a pot and a tent, the rest was on the giant wolf's back.

"Cook, scout 500 meters ahead, Mike, cover the rear, let's go." Lori saw Cook quickly place the so-called supplies in the treetops of a large tree and then gave the order. Of course, Lori and Mitch rode the giant wolf, while Cook and Mike had to run.

"Boss, take care, there's the Ceylon Empire's Royal Guard ahead." Mike patted Cook's shoulder.

"Sure, I'll be careful, thank you." Cook replied excitedly.

"Boss, even in a pinch, you must warn us." Mike added.

"Scram!" Cook shouted irritably and then turned to follow the direction pointed by Lady Lori. Of course, the one leading was not Cook, but a big-mouthed guy.

"Woof woof!" It was just dawn, and the white mist was unusually dense. A series of low horns made the birds scatter in alarm.

"Mammoth warriors, today is the day to witness our strength. Warriors, let's go, show the enemy the power of the empire." Kashi, riding a mammoth, shouted loudly with a voice imbued with fighting spirit.

"Empire! Power! Empire! Power!" Three hundred mammoth knights shouted with voices imbued with fighting spirit, sounding like thousands of people from a distance.

"Charge!" Kashi led the charge, the black banner of the Mammoth Knights flapping in the wind.

"It's begun!" Melif stood on a small hill, looking at the distant mist and listening to the sound of the mammoths' hooves.

"It's begun!" In a large log house on a ranch, a roaring fire burned in the fireplace, making the room feel stiflingly hot. Konknie muttered to herself, her face flushed.

"Damn mist, we've circled around and haven't found the battlefield. Not good, the Mammoth Knights' attack signal." On the white mist, five giant griffins carried five knights, all looking at the distant mist. The lead knight cursed loudly, and then his griffin drew a beautiful arc and charged toward the source of the sound.

"Stop, stop, stop!" The five griffin knights shouted anxiously, but the sound was probably drowned out by the hundreds of charging mammoths below.

"Huh?" The first to sense something was wrong was Melif, as he detected the fighting spirit in the air above.

"Ani, go check. Be careful." Melif turned to a mage in a green robe and instructed.

"Yes, sir!" Ani, a rare wind mage, took out his staff, recited a complex spell, and slowly floated up, disappearing into the mist.

"Sir, it's not good, griffin knights are coming, they're already here." Ani quickly returned, his face pale. Then a gust of wind blew, and a giant griffin appeared before Melif.

"Sir, it's not good, stop, stop the attack, there's a conspiracy, a huge conspiracy." The griffin knight captain, seeing Melif, immediately dismounted and knelt on one knee, shouting loudly.

"What?" Melif felt dizzy, not expecting such news from the griffin knight.

"Was it last night's order?" Melif tried to steady himself and asked loudly.

"The bastards at the surveillance office actually lost some important intelligence. If it weren't for two White Feather Knights discovering it." The griffin squad captain gritted his teeth.

"Bastards! Bastards, who dares to inspect the intelligence sent by the Magic Corps?" Melif immediately flew into a rage, shouting loudly, as he knew it was too late, completely too late. Once the Mammoth Knights charged, there was no turning back.

"Magic Corps, attack! And the reserve corps, fill in. Griffin knights, free attack. No matter who, if they want the Mammoth Knights, then the Ceylon Empire, you'll have to leave these 2 million people behind. Also, issue an order, whoever captures the Ceylon three-tailed fox Konknie, my family owes him a favor." Melif, his face flushed, shouted loudly.

"Also, issue an emergency conscription order. All nobles must send all their people, even the servants in the kitchen, with my order. Those who do not comply will be executed. I want to see if the Ceylon Empire has more people or our Roland Empire has more. Also, issue a reward order: 10 gold coins for killing a soldier, 100 gold coins for a squad leader, 1,000 gold coins for a company leader, and 10,000 gold coins for a corps leader, with a guarantee of a baron title. Elite units will be rewarded three times as much. In this battle, I want no prisoners." Melif then issued a shocking order, as he was forced to do so. Melif knew that if the 300 Mammoth Knights were lost, all the nobles of the empire would be furious, as most of the Mammoth Knights were noble sons, mostly second sons, but the vast network of relationships behind these 300 second sons was unimaginable.
