"Y-You hit me again?"
Chen Yang was on the verge of tears. In these sixteen hours, he had been hit more times than in his entire twenty-something years.
"Do you think I want to parasitize in your lowly, ugly, and insignificant body?"
After slapping Chen Yang, the right hand dropped a sentence but did not explain Chen Yang's question.
"Then, when will you leave..."
After asking this question, Chen Yang quickly covered his cheek with his left hand, bracing himself for another slap in fear.
But unexpectedly, the right hand did not hit him.
"I will leave when I have accomplished my goal."
The right hand gave him a cold look. Strangely, despite having only a "mouth" and no eyes, Chen Yang could feel the coldness.
Fear grew in his heart. Chen Yang lowered his head, gritted his teeth, and mustered up the last bit of courage to ask, "What is your goal? I mean, if you can tell me, I will do my best to help you."
"There's no need for that. I don't care about your feelings; you just need to follow my orders."
The right hand treated him like a bug, growing impatient, "Human, shut your filthy mouth. For the next hour, you are not allowed to speak or move."
Chen Yang immediately closed his mouth, more obedient than when he listened to his parents. If his parents had seen this scene, they would have regretted being too gentle with him when he was young.
Chen Yang started watching the news. This was the first time he had watched it so "seriously." However, old habits die hard. After about ten minutes, he started to zone out, his eyes losing focus, looking like a monk in deep meditation.
Elders often say that today's young people are incredibly restless and have no patience. This is not without reason. Chen Yang's biggest flaw used to be his lack of perseverance and patience. He was like a child who never grew up, having only a five-minute enthusiasm for things he was not interested in and giving up as soon as he lost interest.
This even developed into a compulsion. Waiting for a friend for one or two minutes made him feel like sitting on pins and needles, causing him great anxiety. He would often lash out in anger when his friends arrived, which made them think he was strange and not worth deepening their friendship with, leading to a gradual cooling of their relationship.
But those who have had compulsions know that when they act up, it's beyond one's control. Although Chen Yang knew his behavior was wrong, he would always become anxious and restless after sitting still for a while, unable to endure it.
However, if Chen Yang's friends were there at this moment, they would be shocked to the point of disbelief. The Chen Yang who couldn't sit still for a few minutes was now able to sit obediently for over ten minutes. More terrifyingly, his posture was more upright than a soldier's, and he didn't move a single muscle for the entire time.
An hour later, Chen Yang, drenched in cold sweat, finally heard the right hand's command: "Turn off the TV."
Relieved, Chen Yang almost fell over when he stood up. He rubbed his numb thigh with his left hand and quickly used the remote to turn off the TV.
"Next, go turn on the computer."
Turn on the computer?
Chen Yang was a bit puzzled but, not daring to disobey the order, he walked into his room and turned on the computer.
The computer slowly booted up, and the classic XP interface gradually appeared on the screen.
"Too slow, too slow..."
The right hand made an impatient sound, staring at the screen. Its pinky finger suddenly extended over a meter, wrapping around the mouse and controlling it.
Seeing this bizarre scene, Chen Yang's face turned pale. Witnessing such a terrifying thing happening to his right hand, anyone would be as scared as he was.
The old computer finally booted up. The right hand controlled the mouse and opened the web browser.
"May I ask, what do you plan to do?"
With a fawning tone, Chen Yang cautiously asked.
"Shut your mouth."
Without answering Chen Yang's question, the right hand continued browsing for the information it needed.
Chen Yang could only try to figure out the unknown being's intentions from the screen, but he was immediately speechless. The browsing speed under the right hand's control was far beyond what human eyes could process. Chen Yang only saw the first few words before the entire page was scrolled to the bottom and closed.
In just a few seconds, dozens of pages were opened and closed. Finally, Chen Yang's old, broken computer crashed.
Serves you right for browsing so fast.
Just as a bit of schadenfreude began to surface in his mind, Chen Yang's expression changed, and he let out a惨叫. A sudden, intense pain from deep within his body made him gasp for breath. The pain, though brief, felt like a torturous experience in hell. Sweat poured out, and he couldn't help but vomit.
"Remember, human, I can feel your emotions. Don't think I don't know what you're thinking."
The right hand extended over, looking down at Chen Yang as he vomited. "If you show me any more disrespect, the next time I will extend this lesson to ten seconds."
Chen Yang was terrified. He thought being slapped and punched in the stomach were the worst punishments, but after experiencing that intense pain, he realized that this direct stimulation of the pain nerves was far more excruciating than being cut into a thousand pieces.
"Alright, take your keys and bank card. We're going out."
Chen Yang, numb and trembling, stood up, ignoring the vomit on the floor. He followed the order, picked up his keys and bank card, and walked out of the room.
"Bang."
Closing the door, Chen Yang walked out of the small building.
The sun at around three in the afternoon was still blindingly bright. Chen Yang's eyes were lifeless, his face pale, and he looked like a walking corpse. The sunlight outside made him feel dazed.
"Uh?"
Just as Chen Yang was dazed, his right hand suddenly moved upward, coincidentally catching a small flower pot.
What, what's happening?
Chen Yang's face turned even paler as he looked at the flower pot that had fallen from the sky. If the right hand hadn't caught it, his head would have been smashed.
"Clunk..."
The right hand casually dropped the flower pot on the ground, shattering it and scattering the flowers and soil.
"Ah, I'm so sorry."
A soft female voice came from above. Chen Yang looked up and saw a female tenant from the second floor, whom he remembered was named Xiao Rui and had only been living there for less than a month.
Xiao Rui, seeing that her carelessness had almost caused the flower pot to hit the landlord's head, was startled and quickly went downstairs to apologize. However, when she reached the door, she found that the landlord had already disappeared, leaving only the broken flower pot and soil on the ground.
If the Chen Yang from a day ago had encountered this, he would have definitely stayed to scold the person. But today, he had no time or energy for that. Under the right hand's command, he could not afford to delay and headed straight to his destination.
"Human, pay attention. Next time, I'll let the flower pot fall on your head."
The voice transmitted directly through the muscles and bones to Chen Yang's eardrums. To outsiders, Chen Yang just turned pale and shuddered, but they couldn't hear any strange sounds.
The afternoon sun brought intense heat. Walking on the street, people wished they could strip off all their clothes. Chen Yang, walking under the sun, felt no heat. Instead, he felt cold, a chill that came from deep within, which even the scorching sunlight could not dispel. The cold only intensified, making him feel even colder.
When Chen Yang felt the cold spread throughout his body, he had walked for nearly twenty minutes without breaking a sweat. He lifted his stiff neck to look at his destination.
It was a branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.
A very ordinary bank, not much different from most banks in China. Chen Yang had no interest in it. He entered the bank hall, took a number, and sat down to wait.
There weren't many people queuing for banking services in the afternoon. After a few minutes, it was Chen Yang's turn. He felt in his pocket, took out his bank card, and approached the counter. "Withdraw ten thousand yuan."
Ten thousand yuan, damn it, he only had a total of thirty thousand yuan in his account. Withdrawing ten thousand yuan at once made Chen Yang feel heartbroken, but he dared not resist. This was the right hand's order.
He entered the password, took the stack of money from the bank clerk, and was still in a daze. What did the right hand want with ten thousand yuan?
He didn't know, and it seemed he had no right to know.
To be honest, he had never held ten thousand yuan in cash at once. In the past, he would have thought ten thousand yuan was a lot, but now, holding it, he realized it wasn't much. It was just a small stack, and Chen Yang felt that even ten stacks wouldn't satisfy him.
