Wang Bo woke up from his dream, and to his surprise, he found himself in high spirits, but his body felt somewhat feverish, making him restless.

He didn't know what was wrong, but he guessed it might be because his physical attributes had improved too much all at once, and his body hadn't adapted to the changes yet. The discomfort was intense, as if there was a fire burning inside him, so he decided to go to the bathroom to wash his face and calm down.

He walked into the bathroom, turned on the light, and washed his face at the sink. When he lifted his head to dry his face, he was startled by his reflection in the mirror!

His hair had suddenly grown longer, and the bangs that usually exposed his forehead now reached his eyebrows. He also had some stubble on his upper lip and chin, making him look at least three years older.

Wang Bo immediately realized that this must be related to the "development promotion" he had exchanged for yesterday. His body was definitely overheating because his cells were rapidly metabolizing!

He looked at himself in the mirror again and thought that his bearded look was actually better than usual. However, he didn't want to shock his family the next day, so he took his father's razor and shaved off the stubble, and then used scissors to trim his hair. Only then did he return to his room.

He couldn't believe how much he had changed in just one night. Wang Bo thought that the effects of the "development promotion" were even more rapid than he had imagined. From now on, he would have to secretly take care of himself every night to avoid shocking his family.

Back in his room, Wang Bo lay on his futon but couldn't fall asleep. On one hand, he always felt very energetic after completing the stair training. On the other hand, his body was still feverish, and he felt restless.

He tossed and turned for a while, then got up to sneak a look at Lu Lu, who was sleeping soundly in bed. One of her hands was stretched out of the blanket, resting above her head, and her face was peaceful, with steady breathing.

Wang Bo quietly moved closer and whispered, "Lu Lu... Lu Lu?" After confirming that he wouldn't wake her, he swallowed and tiptoed to the bed, bent down, and turned on the computer. The speakers were off, so the only sound was the faint hum of the hard drive.

After the computer started, Wang Bo quietly sat in the chair and clicked the mouse, occasionally glancing at Lu Lu to make sure she wasn't disturbed. He opened a group chat, which was a chat for the boys in his class, though not all of them were in it. Only a few "like-minded" friends were in the group. He scrolled through the shared files and found a link to an online video, which made him break out in a sweat.

Since the last time Lu Lu had deleted all the content on his hard drive, he hadn't indulged in such activities for a long time. As a healthy teenage boy, well, you know. Now, he found himself secretly watching online content that he used to disdain, and he felt a deep sense of regret at how quickly he had fallen. In the past, he had been very picky.

When he opened the link in the media player, a passionate scene appeared on the screen. Even without sound, Wang Bo was startled, thinking that the plot was too unprofessional. He sighed and decided to make do with it, aiming for a quick finish.

He glanced at the bed again to confirm that Lu Lu was still asleep, then slowly lowered his left hand. He focused on the screen, but he still kept an eye on the bed, feeling a mix of tension and excitement. Despite the sweat on his nose, he was secretly excited about doing this under Lu Lu's nose.

Wang Bo thought to himself that he was falling faster and faster. After a while, he searched for tissues, and his body accidentally bumped the keyboard tray, making a slight noise. This startled him, and he quickly checked the bed. Fortunately, Lu Lu was still sound asleep.

He swallowed again, feeling relieved. He found a tissue box on the computer case, carefully pulled out two tissues, and continued to focus on the screen. Just as he was about to take off his pants, Lu Lu, who had been holding her arm up, suddenly made a "hmm" sound and put her arm down.

This almost made Wang Bo lose it. He was drenched in cold sweat, hesitating whether to continue. After about three seconds, he decided it was too risky and quickly pulled his hand away and shut down the computer!

When he crawled back to his futon, he felt his back was wet. The feverish feeling in his body hadn't subsided; instead, it had intensified, leaving him with a sense of frustration and unfulfilled desire.

Wang Bo sighed, thinking how unfortunate it was. If he had just five more seconds, he could have finished. Why did she have to change her position at that moment?

He couldn't keep this up; it would eventually make him sick. He decided that from tomorrow, he would start tidying up the small room to create a separate bed for himself.

He was determined, facing away from the bed, but he didn't notice that a pair of small eyes had opened slightly behind him. Lu Lu's face showed a mix of embarrassment and annoyance, and she had to suppress a laugh.

Actually, when Wang Bo first called her, Lu Lu had woken up. She thought he was sneaking around to do something to her, feeling conflicted. She decided to pretend to be asleep, thinking that if it wasn't too much, she would just ignore it.

However, after he tested a few times, he went to turn on the computer. She recognized the sound of the computer case, knowing what he was up to, as she had deleted many inappropriate things from his computer before.

She didn't expect there to be any leftovers, but sure enough, after a while, Wang Bo started to act. She caught a glimpse and felt both angry and embarrassed. She thought about scolding him, but that would expose her pretending to be asleep. She also couldn't bear the idea of him doing such things under her nose.

So, at the critical moment, she pretended to change her position and made a dreamy sound, successfully scaring Wang Bo away.

Throughout the entire process, he kept his pants on, so she didn't see anything, but she could guess from his hand movements. This made her want to laugh.

She held back for a while, then turned over and buried her head in the pillow, shaking her whole body to suppress her laughter.

The next morning, Wang Bo, thinking he had been discreet, acted calmly. Lu Lu, however, kept giving him strange looks, as if she had seen through his act.

He didn't mind, as his sister had always been inconsistent in her behavior towards him. The two of them took many items to the nursing home in the district, where they saw the good environment and met a happy Grandma Lu.

The children's visit made her very happy, and she smiled broadly, asking Wang Bo to send her greetings to his mother. The other elderly people were envious of her having grandchildren visit, as they usually only saw their grandchildren during the New Year.

After greeting Grandma Lu and inquiring about her daily life, the two of them felt reassured. The monthly cost of staying in this nursing home was several thousand, far more than a regular nursing home.

They also met the caregiver responsible for Grandma Lu, and Wang Bo secretly gave her a red envelope he had prepared. The caregiver initially refused but eventually accepted it with a smile, praising the two children for their filial piety in front of Grandma Lu.

Wang Bo spent a long time at the nursing home with Lu Lu, sitting on either side of Grandma Lu and listening to her talk about the old days. Despite her physical limitations, she was mentally sharp and articulate, giving the two children a good understanding of their ancestors.

Through Grandma Lu's stories, Lu Lu learned that her and Wang Bo's blood relation was almost non-existent. Grandma Lu was not Wang Bo's great-grandmother's biological daughter and was only a half-sister to his grandfather. By the time it came down to their generation, they were already beyond third cousins, making them quite distant relatives.

With this realization, she felt more at ease, knowing that there was no real barrier between her and Wang Bo.

When they returned home around noon, Wang Bo's mother wasn't there, only his father. He quickly cooked a few dishes, and the three of them had a simple meal. Lu Lu then went to her room to read, preparing for her afternoon tutoring session.

Wang Bo's father had originally planned to watch his son play soccer, but since the match was in Yimin District, it wasn't convenient for him to go. As a parent, it would also be awkward for him to ride the school bus, so he decided to stay home.

After lunch, Wang Bo left for the school, where the team had agreed to meet at the school gate and take the school bus to Yimin District. He sent messages to Liu Yan and Jin Xiaoli, reminding them to meet at the school on time. Before this, after agreeing to go with the team on Saturday, Wang Bo had already asked Coach Zhang for permission. Coach Zhang agreed when he learned that one was a school newspaper editor for coverage and the other was the daughter of "Liu the Cannon." It was a small favor, but he hoped it would help Lei Hu's return.

When he met Xue Zhichao at the gathering, Wang Bo asked about the plainclothes officer. Xue Zhichao told him that he had gone to the anti-theft squad a few days ago, but there was no such person. After describing the person, the police there told him that it might be an intern named Peng Zhenzhen, who was now working in the criminal investigation team. However, they went to the criminal investigation team twice and didn't find Peng Zhenzhen, so they left their contact information and asked her colleagues to pass it on.

Peng Zhenzhen... Wang Bo felt that the name sounded familiar. He recalled that this was the police officer who had taken his statement the night Lu Lu was kidnapped. He had seen her name on the statement. It was a coincidence that Lei Hu's heroic act might depend on her.
