On the great river of Borneo, a large silver-white ship was moored by the water. It was the rainy season, and the river was surging, but it was still able to accommodate such a large ship. Shamalan stepped onto the water, skillfully hooking the ship's bow with a branch from the side and leaping onto the deck. He carried a three-foot-high basket of rattan, which contained some plants and unknown items.
The most noticeable item was a small silver-white metal box, which Shamalan carefully held and took into the large ship. The cabin had only two rooms, one of which had a large door with a cold metallic sheen.
Shamalan placed his right hand on the door, and a blue light scanned his entire body. The door silently slid open, revealing a small but well-equipped laboratory inside. Chen Ang was holding a glass slide, scanning it with an instrument.
In front of him, a blue solution contained a thread of blood-red, forming a strange pattern. Shamalan carefully opened the white metal box, which contained several transparent collection boxes. Inside were some brightly colored tree frogs, venomous snakes, and other unidentified toxic creatures.
"Master!" Shamalan clasped his hands together and respectfully said, "When I went to collect the herbs, I heard the locals say that there were many signs of struggle in the jungle. It didn't look like the marks of large animals. I went to check and found traces of human blood."
"I also found many weapons and bullet marks nearby, but no signs of the creatures that attacked the people being injured. I found two abandoned boats, one of which had fallen off a waterfall, while the other was parked near the sacred site. Could something be happening at the Dragon King's place...?"
Chen Ang didn't look up, focusing on the microscope. "Don't worry about it. The Dragon King will handle everything. Focus on studying the restoration of the witch insects. Only when you restore the witch land of Borneo will this place be truly safe."
Chen Ang entered a series of formulas into the database, preparing to send them to the Sixth Genetic Laboratory of "Endless." He was mainly studying the dynamic relationship between the blood orchid and the environment, which was crucial for the analysis of the blood orchid medicine. Chen Ang worked alone as a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, while the Sixth Laboratory specialized in modern genetics.
"Bring me number eight!" Chen Ang instructed Shamalan.
Shamalan carefully opened the adjacent glass cabinet, nervously took out an ecological box, and handed it to Chen Ang. Inside, a blood-red thumb-sized tree frog lay quietly. Chen Ang gently flicked it, and it obediently flipped over onto its back.
Shamalan didn't dare to underestimate this toxic creature. He had seen it lick the blood of a crocodile, and in just three seconds, this cute little thing had killed a two-meter-long crocodile.
The tree frog's white belly faced Chen Ang, allowing him to stroke it. Chen Ang used a micropipette to draw a quarter drop of the blood orchid solution and dripped it onto the tree frog's belly. The blood-red solution melted into the frog's belly, turning a strange red. The little tree frog flipped over, its belly rising and falling.
Strands of blood seeped into its body, and Shamalan noticed that the blood-red pattern on its back was becoming increasingly vivid, almost as if it were about to drip with fresh blood. He quickly pricked his finger and placed it in the ecological box, allowing the tree frog to suck on it.
As time passed, Shamalan's face became increasingly pale. He quickly took out a foul-smelling pill from his pocket and swallowed it. His face turned a strange rosy color, and black gas spread across his face, then entered the tree frog's body as black lines with each suck.
"The witchcraft of Borneo is too primitive. Using poisons to stimulate the body can indeed serve as a form of exercise, but it also causes severe damage to the body. No wonder your witches have such deep and dark auras, with imbalanced and yin-transformed bodily cycles. Shamalan, if you insist on practicing toxic witchcraft, your bodily fluids will become highly toxic, and you won't be able to easily interact with humans."
Shamalan bowed his head and respectfully said, "Master, our clan's witchcraft is passed down this way. I only wish for the witchcraft to be successfully passed down to my generation. I don't dare to ask for anything more."
Chen Ang sighed and spread out the bark totem passed down by the natives, pointing to it. "Your ancestors discovered that the rainforest's poisons have a magical adaptive effect on the blood orchid. They used this combined reaction to create the witch drug, 'Blood of the Deity,' to extend your lifespan."
"However, this method is too primitive and crude. I have improved this process using the insect techniques passed down from the Miao region of China and your tribe's primitive witchcraft, enhancing the purification of the blood orchid's toxins. This can extend your lifespan by at least five hundred years. During this process, you will need to continuously consume various poisons and witch drugs, and every seven years, you will need to consume a large amount of blood orchid."
Shamalan placed his hand on his chest and said, "I will go to the Miao region to inherit the master's unique techniques and find a kind-hearted disciple for the master in the Miao region, and I will swear to protect the sacred site of the blood orchid with my life."
"With my token, the two snake kings will cooperate with you, and you can choose one from the snake group as your witchcraft partner." Chen Ang said calmly. "The most important part of the witch drug is the lifeblood insect. You must protect it carefully and not let it appear outside your body. The blood insect absorbs the blood orchid and toxins, parasitizing in your heart, controlling the purification of your blood, and extending your lifespan."
"You can use the blood insect to control and command venomous insects, avoid and intimidate jungle beasts. Even if you suffer a fatal injury, you can heal by summoning venomous creatures. As long as the blood insect lives, you will live."
The blood-red tree frog, at some point, had jumped into Chen Ang's palm. Its golden eyes stared straight at Shamalan. It leaped into the blue solution, and the blood-red threads of the blood orchid quickly wrapped around it, forming a small ball. Chen Ang picked up this gelatinous ball from the solution and handed it to Shamalan.
Shamalan, looking at the blood-red ball with the suspended tree frog, swallowed it with a stiff face.
His face began to turn a strange blood-red, and he felt drowsy. Chen Ang waved his hand, pulling him out of the laboratory. Such an important experimental subject couldn't be allowed to have any mishaps. Shamalan stumbled onto the deck, his eyes rolling, and his body convulsing.
"Help!" Two dark figures saw the ship and ran over excitedly. Behind them, a white woman was being supported by someone. A monkey nimbly jumped onto the ship, saw Chen Ang, and cleverly climbed to his front, bowing to him.
"Ha! You little rascal." Chen Ang laughed, petting its head, allowing it to climb onto his shoulder.
The two men, looking disheveled, followed onto the ship and urgently said to Chen Ang, "You need to help us. My companion can't walk."
Chen Ang coldly glanced at them, sensing a familiar aura behind them. He sneered, as the white man only talked about how difficult it was for his companion to walk, but didn't mention why he didn't go to help his companion himself.
The other man hesitated for a moment but quickly reacted, joining in to ask for Chen Ang's help. He saw Shamalan convulsing in pain and quickly took out a syringe from his waist bag, saying, "Your companion seems to have been bitten by a snake. I have a universal serum. If you go to save them, I will inject it."
These American explorers seemed to never consider the danger to others, or they didn't think others had a reason to sacrifice themselves for them, perhaps because they believed they had brought "civilization" to this land.
Seeing Chen Ang's unmoved expression, one of them turned back and saw a line of water rapidly approaching the ship. He angrily said, "Forget about them, let's go! Hurry!"
Seeing Chen Ang standing there smiling, the man pulled out a gun and pointed it at Chen Ang's forehead, coldly saying, "Give me the key, or I'll shoot you!" The other man shouted, "We don't need the key, the captain's cabin can start the ship directly."
"Why don't you go save your companion?" The man was surprised to find that Chen Ang was speaking fluent English.
"Ha! Bullshit, I thought you didn't speak English!" The man felt the ship's deck vibrate and said excitedly, his eyes gleaming with cruelty, "Now, I'll count to three. Either you jump in, or I'll blow your brains out."
He proudly pointed to the water, his eyes gleaming with malice, and laughed, "Now we have someone to feed that beast!"
"Wait, Ben seems to be shouting something!" The other man pointed to the shore.
On the riverbank, the white man supporting the woman and the local people were shouting excitedly to the ship. The local person made a waving gesture, and they could faintly hear, "Dadar, Hukesi! Dadar, Hukesi!"
"What does that mean?" The man asked in surprise, and the other replied, "It seems they want us to go back and pick them up!"
"No!" Shamalan, trembling all over, smiled strangely and said through the pain, "Dadar is the spirit of all things, and Hukesi is the forgiveness of nature."
"What does that mean?" The man asked with interest, taking a step forward to force Chen Ang to jump into the river.
"Witch, spare us!" Shamalan laughed, "He's shouting, 'Witch, spare us!'"
"You..." The man was about to say something when a huge shadow suddenly lunged forward. A blood-red crowned snake bit into his upper body, and with a "crack," the sound of bones breaking echoed.
On the riverbank, the local people knelt down, pressing their heads tightly to the ground.
On the deck, the other man looked at the giant snake in disbelief. The demon-like giant snake lay obediently at Chen Ang's feet, lifting him high...
