Chapter 36

In the ancient sea of sand dunes, there were remnants of spaceships abandoned over thousands of years of interstellar travel. This place was also the primary source of machinery for Tatooine, where the moisture farmers relied on recycled machinery provided by the Jawas to maintain their agricultural production.
Tatooine was a planet built on waste and crime. The criminal syndicates controlled by the Hutt Jaba and the trade circles of the moisture farms formed the entire social structure here. This remote and desolate planet was a paradise for thieves, fraudsters, and bandits, but ironically, it had the power to overthrow the galactic regime.
Chen Ang's second-hand repair shop's main source of goods was this sea of sand. The slow and foolish Jawas provided him with the parts and supplies he needed. This was a magical place, an unexplored treasure trove for Chen Ang.
Tens of thousands of technological products were buried under the sand dunes, coming from at least a hundred different civilizations. The various unimaginable technologies were dazzling. Anti-gravity engines were merely common and inexpensive civilian items here.
According to the old tales of the scavengers on Tatooine, someone once found a gravity well projector capable of generating planetary-level gravity here. It was said that there were even military-grade hyperspace thrusters, which had a fatal attraction for Chen Ang.
"Teacher, look here!" Anakin pointed to a blurry red dot on the screen of a floating red electronic eye, wobbling on a silver disc.
This old electronic eye was generally used on old robots, with performance comparable to large radars and sonars on Earth, and even higher precision. Chen Ang had modified one to search for items buried under the sand. Sand was fluid, and anything valuable would not be exposed to the air.
A machine snake, like a tentacle, flexibly wriggled and dived into the sand. Soon, it emerged with a broken metal part, wagging its tail and presenting it to Chen Ang.
"Good, it's an electromagnetic flow auxiliary engine, probably from a crashed airship," Chen Ang said with some surprise.
"Teacher, will you use it to complete that armor? The red one in your room," Anakin clearly couldn't forget the pile of experimental items in Chen Ang's room.
Chen Ang frowned. The steel armor he had replicated on a whim was clearly not his best work. After completing it, he realized that this weapon, which restricted his agility, was completely useless, with less offensive and defensive capabilities than a flying robot.
Its protective ability was also poor, offering no protection against high temperatures, electromagnetic fields, or energy weapons. The metal might remain intact, but the person inside would likely be cooked. On Earth, where kinetic weapons were predominant, it was not the best, and in the space age, it was thoroughly obsolete.
Unless equipped with an energy shield, it had no practical combat value. But with an energy shield, what was the point of the steel armor's minimal protection? Compared to the agile combat robots, this armor that hindered human flexibility was just an iron can.
But this was just Chen Ang's opinion. Anakin was captivated by its cool appearance and couldn't forget this large toy.
"Anakin, Jedi don't use armor," Chen Ang knew how to divert the boy's attention.
Sure enough, upon hearing about the Jedi, Anakin immediately forgot about the steel armor. With a Force dream since childhood, his behavior unconsciously mimicked the Jedi, his greatest dream being to become an excellent Jedi and return to free the slaves of Tatooine.
He excitedly gripped the black handle at his waist, clearly fond of this weapon that resembled a lightsaber.
"Anakin, fly higher!" Suddenly, Chen Ang's expression turned serious. He controlled the silver disc to fly high into the sky, and Anakin looked down in confusion. Dozens of Sand People, wrapped in thick robes and wearing masks, rode banthas and approached from the distance, quickly closing in on them.
"No!" Anakin shouted on the silver disc, struggling violently to break free from the gravity beam that held him. The Sand People were the nightmare of scavengers, torturing and killing every outsider they saw, robbing scavengers of their wealth, and cutting off their heads to show off their prowess.
These aliens, hidden in their robes, wielded gaffi sticks with razor-sharp alloy heads capable of tearing through a ship's alloy plating. The Sand People made these weapons from the toughest metals they could find, usually the ship's keel, making them virtually indestructible.
Chen Ang raised an eyebrow, unlike the worried and agitated Anakin, his expression was calm, seemingly unconcerned about being surrounded.
From a distance, a Sand Person fired a shot at the floating silver disc, but Chen Ang had considered the range of the Sand People's projectile rifles, making it impossible for them to hit the high-flying disc. A Sand Person riding a bantha roared and swung a deadly alloy stick at Chen Ang's head.
A buzzing sound was heard as a white lightsaber blade slashed diagonally, a scorching white blade enveloping Chen Ang's figure, shooting out and lightly touching the alloy stick. The powerful ion blade cut through the super-alloy, and with a faint electrical sound, the Sand Person's head flew off.
The approaching Sand Person roared, pulling the reins of the bantha, leaping down with a nimble body, and charging at Chen Ang. The leading, muscular Sand Person kicked off the ground, leaping several meters high, and swung a poisoned alloy stick with a fierce wind, aiming at Chen Ang's head.
The lightsaber blade flickered like a dragon, a river of white light sweeping past, silently scattering a silver glow. The overlapping light and shadow were dazzling, and the Sand Person closed his eyes, relying on a faint impression to swing his blade.
But Chen Ang had already stepped back, holding the lightsaber diagonally in front of the Sand Person, watching him fall onto the blade, splitting him and his weapon into two. The alloy stick flew out of his hand and buried itself in the sand.
The Sand People had a unique body structure, often capable of exerting immense strength. They could climb thousands of meters of cliffs by hand, leap between steep rocks, and dig rock caves by hand. Even with cold weapons, they were the most terrifying raiders on Tatooine.
But under Chen Ang's hands, their bodies, as tough as steel, were like tofu, and their rubbery skin, like paper, easily split in half with a light touch of the lightsaber.
The Sand People howled in unison, staring angrily at Chen Ang. They gathered together, coordinating with each other, beating their alloy sticks, and singing an unknown song, advancing on Chen Ang. After losing their companions, they became even more ferocious and calm, trying to create psychological pressure on Chen Ang.
"Too noisy," Chen Ang lightly swung the lightsaber, looking at the fierce Sand People, "On the wasteland, the strong rule! Isn't this the survival law of Tatooine?"
He stepped forward, his body darting out like a ghost, a scorching white blade flashing past. Despite the Sand People's alloy sticks being swung tightly, Chen Ang's light touch opened a gap, and the lightsaber flashed through their bodies.
A buzzing sound was heard, and a burnt smell rose from his wound. The Sand Person's body, cut in half, did not spill a drop of blood, as the high-energy lightsaber sealed the wound, causing instant death.
Dozens of Sand People charged forward, howling fiercely. These aliens were as agile as beasts, with years of hunting experience and默契配合.
