Chapter 47

The plasma shot out from the tentacles, and the Katu person soared through the air, the dozens-of-zhang-long slender steel exoskeleton, emitting a dark blue electric light, lashing out at nearby moving entities. The Katu person extended its tentacles, slowly forming a clump in the air, an invisible magnetic field enveloping the robots, lifting them into the air.

Suddenly, the tentacles in the air coiled up, and dozens of robots were torn into a pile of scrap metal by the explosive magnetic field.

The trembling old mercenaries stood in a row, facing the countless steel army in front of them. They looked relaxed, as if they were facing not a bloody battle but a warm midday sun. The paralyzed veteran, excited, raised his wheelchair, the black chains on his limbs clinking on his spindly limbs.

These half-dead old men, with their backs to the shocked Naboo guards, calmly waited for the mechanical army to approach. The leading old man with dark skin, holding a light yellow cigarette, took a deep puff, and with a flick of his finger, the cigarette butt lightly flew out.

The spinning cigarette butt landed on the ground hundreds of meters away. The dark-skinned man drew two modified blaster rifles from behind, holding one in each hand, his eyes coldly watching the mechanical army approach, step by step, step by step...

Until one foot stepped on the cigarette butt.

In that instant, time seemed to stretch, and the atmosphere in the field suddenly shifted from extreme stillness to extreme motion. The old men, who had just been on the verge of death, sprang to life, the dark-skinned old man firing blaster bolts with both hands, moving nimbly through the beams, shooting accurately.

Though not very fast, every shot paralyzed a robot, without a single miss.

A lethal beam grazed the old man's nose, but it didn't stir his expression, his eyes as still as stagnant water, leaving the young Naboo guards dumbfounded.

The elderly men, on the verge of death, moved through the rain of bullets as if they were strolling in a garden, firing their guns in a well-ordered manner, the pressure they created rivaling that of a mechanical army of tens of thousands. The paralyzed old man, tilting his head, had a blaster rifle floating in front of him, targeting elite robots.

These old ghosts, born and raised on the battlefield, destined to die there, had honed their skills in the sea of blood and had a keen sense. They smiled, as if greeting each other in the morning, shattering the heads of the robots.

Seeing a few elite units in the mechanical army, encased in energy shields, rapidly approaching, the dark-skinned man and the paralyzed old man discarded their blaster rifles, standing calmly at the front, empty-handed.

The Katu person couldn't hold back any longer. It lashed out with its whip, its tentacles extending dozens of meters, coiling around an elite robot. Pulled by the tentacles, it rapidly approached the robot. Two plasma heads on its arms easily broke through the energy shield, deeply penetrating the robot's central system.

The dark-skinned old man's right hand lightly pressed the ground, and his body suddenly soared into the air. The surrounding robots were rapidly drawn to a central point above his head, the immense gravitational force controlling at least thousands of robots. The long gravitational lines distorted space, causing the robots to slide and cluster together.

The Katu person and the old man exchanged a glance, and several tentacles suddenly danced, forming a huge plasma sphere around it. A powerful magnetic field protected the Katu person, deflecting all attacks. Suddenly, the Katu person released control of the plasma sphere, watching the massive energy monster slide along the distorted space toward the clustered robots.

In the sky, a dazzling fireworks display suddenly exploded, illuminating half the sky, visible for dozens of miles.

A small team of old mercenaries formed, the paralyzed old man slightly floating in the center. A large concave ring floated under his control, and he lay in his wheelchair, his head drooping, his metallic right eye faintly reflecting a red light. The others maintained a complex ring structure.

"Whoosh!"

A huge red beam sliced through the sky, piercing the center of the mechanical army. A massive burn mark stretched from the front to the horizon, robots exploding along the way, clearing a large area in the center of the battlefield.

Before the mechanical army could recover, several more old mercenaries charged in, their sharp ion blades and explosive laser beams crisscrossing the battlefield. As more and more people joined the fight, their unique prosthetics and implants displayed their abilities, and the mechanical army was harvested like wheat in a field.

"What is this?"

The queen emerged from the underground vehicle, seeing the intense standoff in the sky and on the ground. "Your Majesty, would you like to pay for these weapons?"

Watu appeared from somewhere, "Electromagnetic Dragon Whip, Planetary Power, Laser Blood Pupil, Sandstorm... Your Majesty, these are very practical war materials! Even if you don't need them now, for peace, you will need them one day!"

"I will not let my people pay for weapons of death!" the queen firmly refused.

Watu didn't get angry, putting down the invoice and sneering, "But Your Majesty, these weapons of death are now saving you and your people!" He pointed to the most intense part of the battlefield, grinning, "The weapons you look down upon are truly fighting for peace, while those who speak of peace compromise with evil and war. Who is the evil one?"

On the central transport ship, Chen Ang leaped from a silver disc, hundreds of meters in the air, the strong wind providing him with endless momentum. Chen Ang jumped and glided through the sky, agile like a swallow, stepping on various flying drones, his lightsaber slicing through their thin armor.

Under intense pressure, he rapidly ascended, the higher he went, the more complex the lasers he had to dodge. The drones, with their strategic depth, brought immense pressure. The silver disc, like the most agile swallow, skillfully avoided the traps, flying higher and higher until it reached several thousand meters.

Chen Ang's foot slipped, his body jolted, and he soared upward dozens of meters. His lightsaber formed a closed circle, the silver guard emitting a large amount of charge, attracting the ions in the high atmosphere. Dozens of lightning bolts appeared around Chen Ang, attracted to the ends of the lightsaber by positive and negative ions, forming a circle of lightning.

Using the electromagnetic levitation field, Chen Ang flew through the air until a lightning bolt as thick as a bucket struck down from the ionosphere, creating a massive current around him due to the Faraday cage effect.

The lightning continued to release charges, and a lightning strike disrupted Chen Ang's electromagnetic field balance, causing him to plummet from several thousand meters. Dozens of lightning bolts, like fierce dragons, entangled him, striking around his body, forming a cone of energy with the lightsaber at its core.

His inner strength and life force maintained this dangerous balance. As the friction increased, Chen Ang, descending from the sky, became a lightning-like entity.

The lightsaber vibrated and rotated, and suddenly, dozens of sharp particle beams shot out from the lightning, cutting through the transport ship's shield. Intense currents surged in, destroying everything inside.

Like a blooming lotus, the lightning exploded among the transport ships, the high-energy particle beams guiding the currents to pierce the shields, wreaking havoc inside. Two ships, lucky to escape, collided heavily due to the electromagnetic disturbance, bursting into flames.

After the dust settled, Chen Ang stood on the silver disc in the center.

On the ground, the disorganized mechanical forces, affected by the electromagnetic shock and without the signal from the transport ships, became extremely sluggish, being cut down by the old mercenaries.

Chen Ang landed beside Qui-Gon Jinn, watching the queen approach. Despite the glorious victory, the queen's brow remained furrowed.

"The situation in Naboo is becoming more dangerous! I can't wait any longer. Either give us hope, or let me return to my people!"

Obi-Wan hurried over, "Your Majesty, please calm down. Our ship has been destroyed. We can only contact a ship from Tatooine to reach the Republic."

"How long will that take?" the queen asked bluntly, "Until my people are slaughtered? Until Naboo is destroyed?"

Qui-Gon Jinn didn't join their argument, turning to look at Chen Ang.

"The ship is on its way!" Chen Ang smiled.

"Where?" the queen demanded.

Chen Ang looked up at the horizon, and a slight tremor came from the ground. In the stunned gaze of everyone, a small hill slowly rose, a massive object emerging, tons of sand and rocks falling from it.

A huge crack appeared on the ground.

A silver-white, majestic ship with a semi-circular streamlined body, as large as a small city, rose into the sky, reflecting a golden brilliance in the sunlight.
