### Chapter 4: The Spatial Farm

"Starting the spatial farm program, connecting to the network, network connection successful, program running normally, host detected, checking host status, host status normal, binding with host, your current level is one, the system rewards you with 500 gold coins and six bags of grass seeds, each bag can plant one acre of land, you currently have one plot of land that has been cultivated, with an area of ten acres, level zero. You can purchase the seeds you need from the store and sell the harvested fruits to the store to exchange for gold coins. Due to a network failure, you can freely enter the farm, but you can only contact the host and cannot contact any friends. Please forgive the inconvenience."

Zhao Hai stood there dumbfounded, feeling as if he were in a dream, everything seemed so unreal.

But he had indeed just heard that voice. If he were on Earth, Zhao Hai wouldn't have believed it, thinking it was just a prank. But here, things were different. He had even experienced a穿越 (穿越 means "穿越" in Chinese, which can be translated as "穿越" in English, but it's often used in the context of "time travel" or "dimensional travel" in modern Chinese literature. For this context, it's better to translate it as "dimensional travel" or "time travel"). If he could experience dimensional travel, what else could he not believe?

Zhao Hai immediately thought in his mind, "Enter the farm."

As soon as he said it, he felt a blur before his eyes. When he looked again, he was no longer in his castle but on a large open field, about ten acres in size, all of which had been cultivated. At the edge of the field was a brand new shovel, and next to the land was a small spring with a bucket placed beside it. There was a small thatched house, and to the left of the house was a thatched doghouse. Under the window of the thatched house were two bottles, one labeled "pesticide" and the other "herbicide." Next to the bottles was a basket labeled "harvest." To the right of the thatched house was an even smaller thatched house, with a sign that read "warehouse." Apart from these, the surroundings were shrouded in a thick fog, making it impossible to see anything clearly. The only things he could see were the thatched house and the open field.

This scene was all too familiar to Zhao Hai. Except for the lack of background, this was the farm game he knew best!

Unlike other game enthusiasts, Zhao Hai preferred reading books, novels, and writing novels. Although he only earned a meager income from his writing, he found great joy in it and never played games.

However, a friend later introduced him to the farm game. This game didn't require much time and was easy to operate, so Zhao Hai continued to play it. His farm was now at level twenty-seven, not the highest, but he had cultivated all his land and even started a ranch.

Those who first opened the farm game knew that the system would give you a free scene and a thatched house. The scene was the same as what Zhao Hai saw now, except that back then, he saw it through a computer, while now he was in this space.

Zhao Hai stared at everything, unsure of what to do. He couldn't help but squat down and grab a handful of soil from the ground.

As he grabbed the soil, a voice suddenly sounded in his mind: "Spatial land, level one, already cultivated, can plant crops, increases crop maturity time by ten times, can be used outside the space, can improve land outside the space."

Zhao Hai was stunned for a moment, then he felt a surge of joy. He knew too little about this space, and now was the perfect time to learn more. He immediately ran to the spring and touched the water with his hand. Sure enough, the prompt sounded again: "Spatial spring, level one, can be drunk, has a beneficial effect on the human body, can be used for irrigation, increases crop maturity time by ten times, can be used outside the space, can improve land outside the space."

Zhao Hai was overwhelmed by this sudden good fortune. He kept his hand in the spring, his eyes vacant, and laughed foolishly, forgetting to take his hand out.

After a while, Zhao Hai stood up and laughed heartily, "Heaven, I never thought you would be so generous to me. Hahaha, good, good, too good."

Zhao Hai was very clear that he had come to the Ark Continent and had become someone who could not practice any magic or martial arts. His life was destined to be ordinary, and he could never avenge Adam. But with this space, things were different. Even if he couldn't avenge Adam, he could ensure the survival and prosperity of the Buda family, which would be a form of repayment to Adam.

After a while, Zhao Hai calmed down. He first ran to the shovel at the edge of the field, wanting to see if it was as magical as in the game.

When he touched the shovel, the prompt sounded again: "Shovel, tool, level one, can automatically till the land, working time: ten acres per day, can be used outside the space."

Zhao Hai laughed again. He then walked to the bucket and touched it, and the prompt sounded again: "Bucket, tool, level one, can automatically irrigate the land, working time: ten acres per day, can be used outside the space."

"Pesticide, toxic, level one, can automatically kill pests, do not eat, can be used outside the space, dosage: unlimited."

"Herbicide, toxic, level one, can automatically kill weeds, do not eat, can be used outside the space, dosage: unlimited."

"Basket, tool, level one, can automatically collect fruits, working time: ten acres per day, can be used outside the space, harvest will be automatically stored in the warehouse."

After examining everything outside the house, Zhao Hai understood that this place was similar to the game's space, but not exactly the same. However, it was more suitable for him.

With an excited heart, Zhao Hai entered the thatched house. The house was small, but it was well-equipped. There was a wooden bed with dry grass, a table, four chairs, a cabinet, a stove, and a complete set of tableware. Most importantly, there was a computer-like device at the head of the bed, but it only had a screen.

Zhao Hai quickly walked to the screen and found it was on. There were only two icons: one labeled "store" and the other labeled "farm introduction."

Zhao Hai hurriedly clicked on the "farm introduction" icon. He really wanted to know why he had such a farm and what it was all about.

As soon as his hand touched the "farm introduction" icon, it turned into a beam of white light and shot into his head. Zhao Hai's mind suddenly filled with a lot of information. After a while, he digested all the information and roughly figured out where the farm came from.

Before coming to this world, Zhao Hai was playing on his computer, specifically the farm game. For some reason, he suddenly found himself here, and the farm game came with him. During the dimensional travel, the farm game had mutated, retaining its original functions and becoming even more powerful. The farm had become a system, and this system was bound to Zhao Hai.

In other words, although Zhao Hai couldn't contact the computer host on Earth through this farm, he could freely use all the functions of the farm, including the store. He could use gold coins to buy things in the store and sell his harvest to the store. He could take things from the farm to the outside world and bring things from the outside world into the farm. Everything was based on his will.

However, the farm was currently only at level one, and many functions were not available. If it reached a higher level, he could even open a ranch and continuously expand his land. There was no limit to how much he could expand. The farm could gain experience by planting, watering, or killing pests, gradually leveling up. He could also bring things related to the space from the outside world, and the space could evolve and level up through these things. In other words, Zhao Hai could bring in some specialties from the Ark Continent to increase the number of items or species in the space, allowing the space to level up. In short, Zhao Hai had obtained a god-like cheat.

Zhao Hai now wanted to laugh out loud. With this god-like space, getting rich would not be difficult, and avenging Adam and the Buda family was not impossible. A bold plan formed in his mind.

He could use the spatial soil and spatial water to improve the land in the Black Soil Wasteland, effectively turning it into a massive farm. Once this area developed, he could recruit more people and become a powerful local lord, and then he could avenge the Buda family...

After a while, Zhao Hai came to his senses, gently shook his head, and laughed at himself for thinking too far ahead. The plan was still in its early stages, and he needed to understand everything here first.

As he thought, Zhao Hai casually clicked on the "store" icon, and the prompt immediately sounded: "Welcome to the spatial store. What would you like to buy?"

Zhao Hai glanced at the screen, which displayed pictures of some crops from Earth, along with their prices and levels. He knew it was similar to the game, so he didn't look further and closed the store page. He then looked around.

Finally, he walked to the cabinet. He believed this cabinet wasn't just for show, but he was disappointed. When he touched the cabinet, there was no prompt. Zhao Hai was taken aback, opened the cabinet, and found three items inside: a cloth bag, a short staff with a bug carved on the top, and a short staff with grass carved on the top. Seeing these, Zhao Hai had a good idea of what they were for.

He first picked up the cloth bag, and the prompt sounded again: "Money bag, can hold gold coins, unlimited quantity, current gold coin count: 500, due to your low level, gold coins cannot be taken out of the space."

Zhao Hai was stunned for a moment, then he felt a surge of joy. Although the prompt was short, he understood a lot. The money bag was like a spatial bag, but it seemed to only hold gold coins. However, what caught Zhao Hai's attention was the last part: due to his low level, gold coins could not be taken out of the space. Did that mean that when his level was higher, he could take the gold coins out of the space and use them outside? Oh, if that were true, it would be amazing.
