Chapter 96

The parasitic mutation of the spider's body has been completed.

Zhao Futu immediately felt a mental connection with it, as if there was a basic instinctual awareness still present. After he issued an attack command through his thoughts, it could attack specific targets. However, Zhao Futu couldn't direct its combat methods in detail; he could only slightly guide it to attack in a certain way.

"Wow! It's much stronger than the one that appeared at the beginning." Bamao curiously ran to the side of the mutated spider and tapped its exoskeleton with a wooden stick. But then a gust of wind came, and his fat body was kicked away by the mutated spider.

"Ouch!" Bamao spat out a mouthful of blood and looked at Zhao Futu with an innocent expression.

Zhao Futu couldn't help but show a bitter smile and explained to him, "It still has its own instinctual awareness. Although I can control it, it's only at a basic level. You'd better not get too close to it."

After saying that, Zhao Futu showed the attributes of the mature mutated spider to the two of them.

"Damn! Its three main attributes are all over 45 points. The fully evolved form will likely break the 50-point peak in all three attributes, right?" Bamao got up and exclaimed, "Wow! It's probably almost as strong as a Cave Demon!"

Yuyan also walked back at this moment. She glanced at the mutated spider and moved a bit farther away, then said, "Boss, with this, it will be much easier to clear out those zombies."

"Right." Zhao Futu nodded, looked up at the sky, and said in a deep voice, "Let's move quickly!"

When they were dropped into this biohazard dimension, it was around 9:00 AM. Now, it was already noon. The mutated spider could only exist for about three hours, and it would die from genetic collapse after that. Zhao Futu could control it for only one hour and six minutes, so they had to clear out the nearby zombies and determine the route as quickly as possible.

With the addition of the mutated spider, the three of them cleared the surrounding zombies much faster!

The mutated spider's agility was as high as 45 points, but due to its weight exceeding one ton, it couldn't climb walls, as they couldn't support its weight. However, with such agility and the ability to shoot out tentacles from its body, most Lickers couldn't escape its attacks. With the mutated spider dealing with the Lickers, the remaining zombies were much easier to handle.

After twenty minutes, the three of them had hunted dozens of evolved zombies, including five Lickers, two stamina variants, and one strength variant. At this point, Zhao Futu had earned about 300 survival points, with the main gains being soul crystals. He now had three E-grade soul crystals and over thirty F-grade soul crystals.

Their combined earnings were enough to complete a teleportation connection point.

Perhaps because they were using the mutated spider, the zombies dropped fewer items. They only got two light blue pieces of equipment, one dark blue unidentified item, and two light blue keys. The item should have been his, but he gave it to Yuyan. Since she had brought out a silver-grade item, she had taken a significant risk, and Zhao Futu's action was a form of compensation.

The light blue keys didn't yield anything good, but Bamao had a stroke of luck and got a few free attribute points.

He was grinning from ear to ear!

Keys had a very small chance of yielding something other than items, such as free attribute points or potential points, with a probability of about one in a thousand.

The three of them moved along Century Avenue, which was about a kilometer long. Many buildings had collapsed, so they might need to take detours. At Zhao Futu's current running speed, he could cover 100 meters in about five to six seconds. The neural reaction and jumping abilities of the contractors were very strong, so most obstacles had little effect on him. He could cover a kilometer in about a minute and a half, meaning that the lure could last up to eight minutes.

When they reached the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, they received a signal from Frog.

He and Taizi had found enough explosives, and Taizi was on his way. Frog was waiting at the site, ready to detonate the explosives once Zhao Futu lured the target to the trap!

Beyond the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum was Century Park, which had a Mirror Lake, the location of the giant zombie crocodile.

Zhao Futu had to lure it out of Century Park, cross the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, enter Century Avenue, and then it would be a straight path. As long as he maintained his speed and continuously provoked the target, he would be fine. Zombies mostly act on instinct, driven by the desire to consume flesh, and their most notable characteristic is their persistence. As long as he could inflict some damage, the target wouldn't give up.

The biggest problem was that he needed to determine the speed of the giant zombie crocodile. According to the contractor who had seen it, it was almost the size of a heavy truck, and each step it took was equivalent to ten steps by Zhao Futu. Another important point was that it had no ranged attack capabilities.

So, Zhao Futu had to investigate the target's attributes.

"Boss? What are you doing?" Yuyan asked, puzzled, as she saw Zhao Futu sitting cross-legged.

Zhao Futu opened his eyes and said slowly, "I'm meditating to recover my energy. I have a detection skill, and I'll see if I can detect the target's attributes."

After saying that, he quickly meditated.

After about five minutes, Zhao Futu opened his eyes. His current Inner Core Technique [True] recovered energy at 50% speed. Although five minutes wasn't enough to fully recharge him, it was sufficient. He led the two into Century Park and stopped not far from Mirror Lake. Zhao Futu nodded to Yuyan, who then took out a gun with a grenade launcher and fired it at Mirror Lake.

Bang!

A wave of water splashed up, and a massive creature appeared before Zhao Futu.

Its cold eyes, huge crocodile snout, and skin that looked like tumors, with bulging flesh, still retained the features of a crocodile, but its size had swollen to that of a heavy truck. Its body was infested with numerous zombie bugs, and it emitted a foul stench that could make someone vomit from a distance.

Zhao Futu activated his detection skill, but the target's perception was surprisingly high, and he could only get basic information.

He had no choice but to activate the Three Flowers Gathered at the Crown, boosting his perception to the maximum of 40 points, and then reactivated the detection skill. This time, he successfully viewed the basic attributes of the giant crocodile.

It was a G-Virus Infected Body!!!

The target's basic attributes were as follows:

"Giant Zombie Crocodile (Mutated Body):

Height: 372 cm

Weight: 1500 kg

Basic Attributes:

Strength: 50 points

Agility: 30 points

Intelligence: 8 points

Stamina: 65 points

Spirit: 9 points

Perception: 25 points

Willpower: 5 points

Charisma: 3 points

Skills:

G-Virus Infected Body [Locked Skill]: Any attack has a 1% chance of infecting a contractor with the G-virus, with a 100% infection rate for ordinary humans. Permanently increases strength by 5 points, agility by 5 points, and no change in stamina, with the body size increasing.

G-Virus Evolved Body [Locked Skill]: Any attack has a 30% chance of infecting a contractor with the G-virus, with a 100% infection rate for ordinary humans. Permanently increases strength by 0 points, agility by 5 points, and stamina by 20 points, with the body size increasing.

Gigantism Mutation [Locked Skill]: The G-Virus Evolved Body has undergone a gigantism mutation, permanently increasing strength by 5 points, agility by 5 points, and stamina by 30 points.

[Unknown Ability]: Cannot be viewed.

[Unknown Ability]: Cannot be viewed."

Zhao Futu temporarily showed the target's attributes to the two beside him, and they all drew in sharp breaths.

"Run!" Zhao Futu threw a grenade at the target and then turned and ran.

Boom!

The giant zombie crocodile burst out of the lake, immediately locking onto Zhao Futu, who had attacked it. It let out a deep,

Zhao Futu's palms were sweating, his heart racing, a bit nervous, but also extremely excited!

All his thoughts concentrated, his mind gradually shifting from excitement to calmness, and the excess emotions and consciousness were gradually blocked by the central nervous system. Whether it was fear, terror, excitement, or other emotions, they all disappeared. Now, his eyes were fixed on the giant zombie crocodile chasing him, and with each breath, he mobilized all his muscles, sprinting at his maximum speed!

This was an ultimate challenge!
