"Damn, it's so hot..."

On the streets of New York, Katherine was wearing a sweater. Without a second thought, she took it off.

"Kate, are you still hot?" Lily teased from the side.

"Yeah, but I can't take anything else off, can I?" She was only wearing a white shirt underneath.

"It's fine, take it off."

Lily took off Katherine's sweater, leaving her bare-chested.

"Oh!"

People around them started to look over.

Looking again, they were all men, and they weren't wearing any clothes!

"Ahh!"

Katherine fell off the bed.

"What kind of dream is this..."

She shook her head. Facing the group of men approaching her, she took a step back and fell off the bed again.

Looking again, she realized one of her hands had already lifted up her nightgown.

"Kate! It's time to get up, it's still a few hours to Grelle!"

Usually, Katherine would return to school on Sunday evenings, but yesterday she stayed at home and wrote "Harry Potter" all day. The Order of the Phoenix, the Goblet of Fire, the Deathly Hallows, and so on...

Hey, she still had a lot of work to do!

"Okay!"

She tried to stand up but found her other hand, which was under her, had also delved below, and it was covered in a liquid of unknown origin.

"Could it be...?"

She stood up with a jolt, but her chest hit the edge of the bed, causing a sharp pain.

"Ouch..."

She turned pale from the pain.

"What's wrong?!"

Emma heard Katherine's scream and immediately came in.

"It hurts..."

She was gasping for breath.

"Where? Kate?"

Emma, worried, walked over and saw Katherine gently pressing her chest.

Emma suddenly understood.

"Bruce! Call Kate's teacher and tell her Kate can't go to school for the next two days!"

"Huh?!" Katherine looked at her mother in shock.

"Kate, take your hand off."

"Okay..."

Katherine was a bit confused but did as she was told.

Emma pressed on Kate's chest with her fingers, and Katherine felt something inside, causing unbearable pain.

Looking up, she saw Emma smiling at her.

"Alright, Kate, go change your clothes, we're going out."

"What's going on, Mom?" Katherine looked at her mother in confusion.

"Of course, we're going to buy a bra, and maybe some sanitary pads..."

Instantly, Katherine's mouth formed an "O."

Yes, she had started to develop. Katherine immediately noticed this fact.

As a twelve-year-old girl, her development was already quite delayed, and now she had finally entered the physiological process that every girl or teenager would experience—puberty.

"Damn... No way! No way!"

She shouted in panic.

"Dear, puberty isn't something to be afraid of; it's one of the most beautiful times in life."

Emma gently stroked Katherine's head.

"Oh... God... Oh..."

She shook her head, finding it hard to believe.

"Kate, change your clothes first. Choose something loose; it's not good if it affects your breast development."

Although ballet had certain requirements for the chest, Emma was clearly more concerned about her daughter's physical needs.

"I'll also contact Sab and let them know..." Emma muttered and walked out, leaving Katherine with a bitter expression.

After washing up, Emma started to remind Katherine of the things she needed to pay attention to.

"Kate, remember to apply a warm towel to your chest before bed. In about half a month, the swelling will go down. But remember, don't eat spicy food during this time, and remember to wear a bra. Otherwise, they might sag in the future. If you feel the bra is getting tight, measure your size—this is probably when you need to change it."

Katherine felt her brain was a mess.

Such a harsh reality was hard for her to accept.

"Since it's here, we must face it."

She kept repeating this in her mind, but it didn't help.

"By the way, when you measure your size, make sure you don't catch a cold; it's already autumn."

Although it was hard to accept, she had to accept it.

Marx taught us that objective reality doesn't change with one's will, so protecting one's body is the most important thing. Emma's words were all silently remembered by her.

"Mom." Katherine looked at Emma with a pitiful expression.

"What's wrong?"

"I... Can I not go?"

Emma, seeing Katherine's flushed face, knew she was embarrassed.

"Alright, but just this once. Next time, you have to go yourself, understand?"

Katherine finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"Alright, take off your nightgown."

Emma took out a measuring tape.

Katherine took off her clothes and noticed that her chest seemed different from before. It was like a bud about to bloom, or a delicious treat that made her want to take a bite.

The measuring tape pressed against her chest, and Katherine suddenly felt a sensation she had never experienced before, a feeling that seemed to spread throughout her body. But at that moment, Emma had already placed the tape lower.

"You're already an A, Kate. Didn't you notice?"

Katherine innocently shook her head.

"Alright, I'll go first." Emma picked up her bag and left, getting into their car.

Watching her mother leave, Katherine sighed.

She lay back on the bed and looked at the ceiling, bored.

She suddenly thought of that dream again.

"What will happen next?"

She suddenly remembered the countless "romantic horror" novels she had read in her past life. The heroines in those stories seemed... happy...

What kind of feeling was that?

She had once experienced a feeling of euphoria.

But...

The sinful hand reached out again. This was the first time she did this while fully awake.

"Ring... Ring..."

But a phone call suddenly broke the morning's tranquility.

"Hello, this is Edson." Bruce answered the phone.

Katherine took a deep breath.

"Sigh."

Finally, she sighed again.

She had forgotten her father was still at home.

"Right, I'll just ask about the company."

She walked out of the room, and Bruce had just hung up the phone.

"Dear, is there something you need?"

"Dad, I wrote a novel and made 50,000 dollars. I'm planning to start a fashion design company with my classmates."

Bruce's mouth, like Katherine's earlier, formed an "O."

Katherine suddenly remembered that Bruce didn't know about her writing.

But didn't Emma say she would tell him?

Clearly, she had forgotten.

"What did you say?"

Bruce looked at Katherine, thinking he had heard wrong.
