"Hey, by the way, I still have to go to the fashion club!"
As she spoke, Lily suddenly stood up.
"What's wrong?"
"I promised Lisa to help her take photos. You know, a model can't do without a good photographer."
"Oh."
Kathryn didn't really understand much about fashion design. In fact, although she knew some of the fashion trends in 1960s America, she couldn't afford to divert her energy to making clothes. Moreover, in her view, the fashion of the 1960s was too outdated. The only contribution of the fashion industry in this era was the creation of the miniskirt, a sharp and bold piece of clothing.
In fact, what Kathryn really wanted to do was in the software industry. She had even bought some semiconductor components from Fairchild to try to make something, but that half-finished project was probably still in her room.
"Kate, do you want to come and take a look?" Lily invited Kathryn.
"Sure."
Anyway, the innovative tabletop game "Dungeons & Dragons" wouldn't appear for another 10 years. Although she was stuck on this project, it didn't affect her plans at all.
The fashion club wasn't big, just a small room, but it was quite close to the dormitory, and the surrounding environment was nice. The club only had three members, which was relatively few.
"Hey, Lisa. I'm here." Lily pushed open the door, and inside was only a girl who was drawing something, seemingly a bit older than Lily.
"This is Kathryn, my roommate. Kate, this is Lisa, the president of the fashion club."
"Nice to meet you, Kathryn. I'm Lisa, and I'm in ninth grade." Lisa smiled and stood up, then greeted Kathryn.
"Nice to meet you, just call me Kate."
"Where are Ada and Jenny?" Lily looked around.
"Jenny is helping Ada change clothes."
As she spoke, two more people came out from the changing room inside the house.
"Ada, Jenny, Lily is here. This is her roommate, Kathryn."
"Hello, just call me Kate."
"Hello, I'm Jenny."
Jenny wasn't beautiful; she had a face full of freckles and wore large glasses, the typical image of a "top student."
However, the other girl standing next to her was very beautiful. She was about the same age as Lily. Although Lily was already very beautiful in Kathryn's eyes, this Ada was even more attractive, perhaps more sexy?
"What a beautiful girl, hello, Kate. I'm Ada."
Just as she was admiring how beautiful the other person was, she unexpectedly complimented her, making Kathryn a bit embarrassed.
Actually, Kathryn didn't need to be so modest. She was indeed very beautiful, not only meeting the aesthetic standards of Westerners but also those of Easterners. To be precise, Kathryn herself should like such a girl, but perhaps because this beautiful face was on her own, she didn't pay much attention to it.
However, Kathryn took good care of her body.
Some people say that although Western women look beautiful, they can only be admired from a distance and not touched, mainly because up close, they have large pores and rough skin. This is related to their environment. For example, in her previous life, there was a 40-year-old Russian woman living downstairs from Kathryn's family. She looked smooth and tender, like a 28- or 29-year-old, but when she first came here ten years ago, she looked no different from a 40-year-old.
Combining this fact, Kathryn analyzed the reasons: food, climate, and environment. Kathryn has always been very mindful of her diet, firmly avoiding rare or medium-rare beef, and paying attention to her vegetable intake. Perhaps due to her mixed heritage or physical constitution, her skin was indeed very smooth, feeling like silk when touched.
Perhaps because of ballet, Kathryn's figure was also very good. After all, ballet is the dance that best shapes the human body. And because she was very mindful of her maintenance, she didn't encounter problems like thick calves. Her legs were indeed very strong but looked slimmer than average.
"Um... Kate, your figure is really nice." Lisa looked at Kathryn and gave her an evaluation, which was probably a "professional habit" of a fashion designer.
"Thank you." Kathryn felt a bit uncomfortable and looked down at her body.
Kathryn's body proportions were also very good, almost slender. Her shoulders weren't as broad as those of most Westerners, giving her a "delicate" appearance. She had long limbs, especially her legs. A pair of long legs, very eye-catching, and she would definitely be very attractive when she grew up.
"This outfit is really nice." Lily looked at Ada's clothes and couldn't help but examine her up and down.
Ada had a good figure. She was wearing a white shirt and a knee-length skirt.
"Is that so? But I think there are still some areas that can be improved, but I can't figure out exactly where." Lisa looked at Ada's skirt and shook her head.
"It's actually pretty good." Ada also moved her body.
"Maybe, making the skirt shorter would be better?" Kathryn interjected.
Hearing Kathryn's words, Lisa's eyes lit up.
"Right! The problem is here! The skirt is covering Ada's figure, Ada, you can become even sexier~"
But after looking for a while, Lisa was a bit puzzled.
"About... how short would be better? If it's a normal length... no, it can be even shorter..."
"Uh..." Kathryn was thinking.
Although the miniskirt was born in 1955, it didn't become a popular style until 1964. At this point, the miniskirt was just a concept.
"Probably to the middle of the fingers when your hands are hanging down."
Kathryn thought of the standard for miniskirts.
"Right! Ada, take off the skirt, I'll modify it."
"Okay." Ada took off the skirt.
Pink...
Kathryn's eyes widened, but at that moment, Lily's words came.
"Kate, do you also know fashion design?"
"Well, I don't, I just think it looks better this way."
Thinking about it, Kathryn suddenly had an idea.
Right, the miniskirt!
The 1960s and 1970s were the heyday of the miniskirt. If she started from here, it would be much simpler than trying to develop a tabletop role-playing game (TRPG)!
Kathryn smiled, thinking that she was getting closer to her goal.
"Kate, why don't you try it too~" Lily suddenly looked at Kathryn with a smile.
