Elina's Perspective - The Next Morning. It's short. ..
The next morning, Elina wakes up. In the dimly lit room, as Elina shifts, she feels a warm body beside her. When she turns her head, a glimpse of gold enters her field of vision. Through the gap, she sees a beautiful face.
"!"
Recalling last night, Elina feels her face grow warm. However, she suppresses the urge to make a sound. Alvis is still asleep with his eyes closed. She mustn't wake him.
Taking a deep breath, Elina sits up. The quiet room is unfamiliar; it's not her usual room. Elina realizes this anew.
"I really got married."
She is married. To the person sleeping beside her now. Alvis. They exchanged vows of marriage and became husband and wife. Elina is no longer the prince's fiancée but his princess. A wave of emotion washes over her, and if she were to put it into words, it would be "joy."
"Lord Alvis..."
Turning her gaze to the side, she sees Alvis's sleeping face, which she has seen many times. But it's not the pained expression she saw before. It's a peaceful one. Elina smiles and gently reaches out to touch Alvis's hair. It's as smooth as ever. As a woman, she envies it. If she were to mention this, Alvis might just be troubled. She can imagine him giving a wry smile and saying, "Is that so?" Elina chuckles softly.
"Just a little longer."
It's still too early to call for the maid. Elina lies down again and rests her head on Alvis's chest. She wants to savor this moment a bit longer.
The steady heartbeat reaches Elina. Despite being used to sleeping alone, she feels a sense of security being with someone. It's probably because it's Alvis. He is someone she can trust and someone she loves.
Listening to the heartbeat, Elina is once again drawn into the world of dreams.
I really wanted to include Elina's perspective of the next morning, so I added it.
I'm sorry it's short.
