Chapter 26

Ban and his family members came to the cemetery.

"Uncle Hai, I have avenged you. You can rest in peace. I will definitely change the Uchiha clan and this world."

Ban dragged the Elder with his left hand and Uchiha Makoto with his right, throwing them in front of Uchiha Hai's grave. He drew his katana, pressed the Elder's head down, and beheaded him with one stroke.

A gush of blood spurted out, instantly staining the tombstone red.

The surrounding Uchiha ninjas remained silent. Ban then pressed Uchiha Makoto in front of the tombstone and beheaded him with one stroke. A spray of blood made the tombstone even redder.

Ban placed the heads of the Elder and Uchiha Makoto in front of Uchiha Hai's grave, turned to look at the many ninjas, and said coldly, "From now on, if I find out anyone in the Uchiha clan is plotting against their own, this will be their fate."

"Ban, since the matter is settled, you should go back and rest," Uchiha Tashima said calmly.

"Not so fast!" Ban sneered, dragging the headless bodies of the Elder and Uchiha Makoto to an open space. He rapidly formed hand seals and shouted, "Fire Release — Great Fire Annihilation."

A flame smaller than the Great Fire Annihilation but more powerful enveloped the two bodies. With a boom, the Elder and Uchiha Makoto's bodies were consumed by the fierce flames, turning into wisps of black ash that dissipated into the air.

"Everyone, go back!" Uchiha Tashima looked at the motionless youth beside the blazing fire and said to the many ninjas.

"Wait..." Just as everyone was about to leave the cemetery, they heard a calm voice.

The many Uchiha ninjas stopped in their tracks, looking at Ban in shock.

"Ban, what else do you want to do?" Uchiha Tashima's face darkened.

"Do you remember you said you wanted to kill me just now?" Ban turned around, squinting his eyes and staring at Uchiha Tashima.

The Uchiha ninjas were taken aback. A dozen ninjas hurriedly surrounded Uchiha Tashima, fearing that Ban would suddenly attack and kill their clan leader.

"Hmph! Do you really want to kill your own father?" Uchiha Tashima sneered.

"If it weren't for Shisui, you would have died eight times already. Do you believe me?" Ban sneered.

"It seems you are truly mad. If you go back now, I will pretend nothing happened." Uchiha Tashima opened his Sharingan with three tomoe, staring intently at Uchiha Ban.

"Unfortunately, I can't. There's a saying that spilled water cannot be收回. But I'll give you one more chance. If you step down as clan leader and no longer interfere in anything, I'll let you live out your days in peace." Ban said indifferently.

"The position of Uchiha clan leader will eventually be yours, Ban. I advise you to stop! Don't force me to kill you." Uchiha Tashima sighed.

"Go ahead and try. The only person in this world who can kill me is myself." Ban's hand was already on the hilt of his Lightning Blade, and he said coldly, "I'll ask you one last time, will you step down or not?"

From the moment he activated his Mangekyou Sharingan, he had severed the tenuous bond with Uchiha Tashima. Apart from Kitten and Shisui, there was no one else in his heart.

"Uchiha clan ninjas, listen up. From now on, Uchiha Ban is a traitor to the Uchiha clan. Anyone can execute him." Uchiha Tashima slowly closed his eyes, speaking without any emotion.

The many ninjas looked at each other, thinking the battle was over, but it had turned into a father-son conflict. A guard cautiously asked, "Clan leader, should we really kill Young Master Ban?"

"Didn't you hear me? Or do you want to join the traitor?" Uchiha Tashima's cold Sharingan stared at the guard.

"I dare not!" The guard ninja broke out in a cold sweat.

"Time is running out, end this battle in an instant!" Ban looked up at the sky, muttering to himself.

"Shadow, move!"

Puff!

A gush of blood spurted from Uchiha Tashima's chest, and with a thud, a piece of wood fell to the ground. Uchiha Tashima had already disappeared.

Clang!

Ban's Lightning Blade blocked Uchiha Tashima's katana as he turned around.

"Ban, you actually dared to kill me! If I had known you were such a menace, I wouldn't have let you live back then." Uchiha Tashima's Sharingan eyes blazed with anger. He knew Ban was going to attack and had been on high alert.

Ban's ability to instantly kill was truly terrifying.

"What can your eyes see?" Ban opened his Sharingan with three tomoe, and his gloved fist attacked Uchiha Tashima.

Boom!

A large pit appeared in the ground. Uchiha Tashima jumped into the air, his eyes filled with shock at Ban's terrifying strength.

"Fire Release — Great Fire Annihilation!"

Uchiha Tashima jumped to a distance and spewed a flame several meters high at Ban.

"Using Fire Release against me is truly foolish!" Ban's eyes showed a mocking expression. He took out the 'Banana Fan' from his waist and swung it forcefully, creating a violent tornado that instantly engulfed the flames. A pillar of red fire attacked Uchiha Tashima.

"Where did this wretched son get such a powerful weapon, almost rivaling the Uchiha clan's ancestral treasure — the Fire Fan!" Uchiha Tashima hurriedly avoided the fire tornado.

"Clan leader!" The other ninjas were shocked, and a dozen ninjas hurriedly surrounded Ban.

"This is my family matter. If you dare to interfere, I'll kill you too." Uchiha Ban stared at the surrounding ninjas, his crimson Sharingan eyes emitting a terrifying red light.

"Please stop, Young Master Ban! Do you really want to kill your father?" A ninja knelt on one knee, pleading.

"Out of the way! All of you, get back." Uchiha Ban's face showed impatience. He raised the 'Banana Fan' and swung it, sending a dozen Uchiha ninjas flying.

"What should we do?" Hundreds of ninjas watched the battle between Uchiha Ban and Uchiha Tashima, at a loss for what to do.

At this moment, they understood that Ban had avenged Uchiha Hai by killing the Elder, but now the father and son were fighting each other.

Although Uchiha Tashima had declared Uchiha Ban a traitor, Ban's powerful strength was disheartening. Moreover, these ordinary ninjas hoped Ban could become the clan leader, as a strong leader would bring prestige and reduce many troubles for the Uchiha clan.

In this chaotic world, the strong rule, and the weak are preyed upon.

A middle-aged ninja in the crowd silently watched Ban, his eyes flashing with determination. He muttered to himself, "Young Master Ban, you saved my life. No matter how I repay you, it will never be enough. Let me do one thing for you!"

"Everyone, listen! Uchiha Tashima doesn't treat us ordinary ninjas as human beings. He calls us whenever he wants and dismisses us at will. We risk our lives every day just to satisfy his ambitions. Young Master Ban's strength and character are evident to all. He can stand up to the entire clan for his uncle and is willing to sacrifice his life for us ordinary ninjas. I, Uchiha Gen, have been waiting for Young Master Ban to return. Now that he wants to be the clan leader, I support him first. Anyone who opposes me will have to face me, Uchiha Gen." The middle-aged ninja raised his arm, and many people gathered around him.

This middle-aged ninja was Uchiha Gen, whom Uchiha Ban had saved years ago. At that time, he was an elite chunin, and now he had become a jounin capable of standing on his own.

"Uchiha Gen, are you mad too?" Uchiha Tashima's dozen loyalists, who had just been sent flying by Ban, were about to rush forward but were blocked by Uchiha Gen and a group of ordinary ninjas.

"Yuta, don't you remember how your three brothers died in battle? Do you still want to serve Uchiha Tashima?" Uchiha Gen sneered.

Uchiha Yuta was taken aback, gritted his teeth, and said, "Dying in battle is the fate of a ninja. There's nothing to resent. You're trying to sway people's hearts. Do you want to rebel too?"

"Even if you say that, we always fight at the front lines, but have we ever seen the clan leader's face? The resources we risk our lives to obtain are all handed over to the clan. By the time they are distributed, who knows how much has been withheld. Is this the life you want? Do you want to go against your own conscience?" Uchiha Gen continued.

The surrounding Uchiha clan members fell silent. The ninjas behind Uchiha Yuta, seeing his hesitation, immediately drew their katana and shouted, "Yuta, have you forgotten the clan leader's kindness? This traitor is spouting nonsense. Kill him quickly!"

"Shut up, you fool!" The ninja behind Uchiha Yuta didn't wait for his reaction and attacked Uchiha Gen.

Clang!

Uchiha Gen blocked the attack and said to Uchiha Yuta, "Yuta, don't you remember how your sister died?"

Swish!

Uchiha Yuta opened his Sharingan with three tomoe and stabbed the ninja attacking Uchiha Gen from behind.

"Yuta, you... why are you helping... this traitor?" The ninja spat blood and asked in a broken voice.

"Because my sister was killed by Uchiha Makoto!" Uchiha Yuta's face was grim. He pulled out his katana, stood beside Uchiha Gen, and raised his sword, saying, "Everyone, listen! Uchiha Tashima is not the clan leader of the Uchiha clan. From now on, I only recognize Uchiha Ban as our clan leader. I believe Young Master Ban will lead us to victory."
