The crowd exchanged glances, and many even thought that Uchiha Madara must have gone mad, coming here alone and boasting about wiping out the Sarutobi clan.

Sarutobi Sasuke, though aware of Uchiha Madara's arrogance, never expected him to actually dare to come to the Sarutobi clan alone.

"Are you going to fight or not? I'm very busy!" Madara looked at the surrounding ninjas with disdain, his three-tomoe Sharingan emitting an eerie red light.

"Damn it!"

"I've never seen such a lunatic before; his brain must be broken."

"This is the new leader of the Uchiha clan? Is there something wrong with the Uchiha clan to choose a lunatic as their leader?"

"I can't take it anymore!"

The ninjas of the Sarutobi clan were noisy, but despite their harsh words, none of them dared to move. On one hand, their leader, Sarutobi Ryoji, had not given the order, and on the other hand, perhaps they were all afraid of Uchiha Madara, though they were unwilling to admit it.

As Madara said, the barking of the weak only invites ridicule.

Sarutobi Ryoji stared at Uchiha Madara with a dark gaze, his heart burning with anger and the intent to kill. Although he agreed to reconcile with the Uchiha clan, Uchiha Madara's arrogance was truly infuriating.

"Father!" Seeing Sarutobi Ryoji's ashen face, Sasuke knew something was wrong. Without waiting for him to speak, he pulled him aside.

"Leader Madara, the letter you saw was not the true intention of the Sarutobi clan. It was sent out privately by some individuals. I deeply apologize for this. Our Sarutobi clan will not go to war with the Uchiha clan. If you want to start a war, we will not back down. However, if you are here because of the letter, please return! This is all a misunderstanding, and the same applies to the Shimura clan." Sasuke looked at Uchiha Madara with clear eyes and spoke calmly.

"Huh?" Madara was stunned, his mind in a bit of a mess. This was not what he had expected!

The battle had not even begun and was already over. Normally, these people should have charged forward, but now they had suddenly surrendered, leaving him with a feeling of hitting a cotton candy.

"Sasuke-sama!" Many of the Sarutobi clan's ninjas looked at Sasuke with blank expressions, thinking, "Is there something wrong with Sasuke-sama's head? Uchiha Madara has so humiliated the Sarutobi clan, and Sasuke-sama actually reconciles with him."

If it weren't for Sasuke's deep respect among the people, they would have already cursed him. Perhaps they were afraid of Uchiha Madara, but if a real war broke out, they would fight to the death without taking a single step back. For the sake of their clan, they could abandon everything, forget fear and death.

This was the common mindset of the ninjas of that era. The clan was everything to them, just as the ninja village was everything to the ninjas of the future.

"Sasuke!" Sarutobi Ryoji came to his son's side, opened his mouth, but ultimately sighed and turned to leave.

"Everyone, go back! There's nothing to worry about here." Sasuke said to the many ninjas.

Seeing their leader's tacit approval, the ninjas of the Sarutobi clan walked back to the clan with their heads hanging low, feeling a sense of unprecedented disappointment. They felt this was the most humiliating moment of their lives. The enemy had come to their doorstep, destroyed the entrance of the Sarutobi clan, and made arrogant remarks. Anyone would be unable to bear it, but the Sasuke-sama they had always admired actually endured it.

"This person is interesting." Madara now seriously examined Sasuke.

Now, only the two of them were left on the empty ground. The Sarutobi clan's people had all retreated, and Madara did not mock Sasuke for his seemingly cowardly behavior.

Although he did not understand whether Sasuke was truly afraid of him or had other intentions, this was the first person he had seen who truly resembled a ninja. A true ninja could endure what ordinary people could not, and could bear anything to achieve their goals. As the saying goes, a true man can bend and stretch, which means the same thing.

Madara knew in his heart that he did not really count as a ninja. Although he could endure various pains, there were some things he absolutely could not bear, one of which was never to yield.

Better to be shattered like jade than to be whole like a tile!

In him, the qualities of a samurai outweighed those of a ninja. If there was anything that made him resemble a ninja, it was his use of ninjutsu.

Sasuke also examined Madara, but he did not have as many thoughts as Madara.

"What's your name?" Madara broke the silence between them.

"Sarutobi Sasuke!"

"Oh?" Madara's eyebrows furrowed, as if he had heard this name somewhere before.

He recalled the Sarutobi clan from the Naruto series and was suddenly startled. The father of the Third Hokage was named Sarutobi Sasuke. He remembered this clearly because the male second lead in the series, Uchiha Sasuke, was his descendant, and the plot specifically mentioned this, pointing out that Sasuke and the Third Hokage's father had the same name.

"Do you have a son?" Madara suddenly asked.

"Ah!" Sasuke opened his mouth wide, his eyes blank, not understanding if the topic had shifted too quickly. Recovering, he said somewhat awkwardly, "I haven't married yet, so how could I have a son?"

"Is that so!" Madara had only asked out of curiosity, and even if Sarutobi Hiruzen were born, it wouldn't change anything.

"Leader Madara, I have some private matters I would like to discuss with you. Do you have time?" Sasuke hurriedly said, fearing Madara would ask more strange questions.

"What is it?" Madara was about to leave but stopped and said calmly upon hearing Sasuke's words.

"I want to form an alliance with Leader Madara. Would you agree?" Sasuke said something astonishing.

Madara's pupils contracted. There were few things that could surprise him, but this Sarutobi Sasuke had surprised him twice.

The Senju clan had refused to form an alliance, and the Ino-Shika-Cho trio had also refused. Now, the Sarutobi clan, which he had come to attack, wanted to form an alliance with him. Was it genuine, or was there some hidden agenda?

"We were enemies just a moment ago, and now you want to form an alliance with me. Do you think I would agree?" Madara laughed.

"Leader Madara can form an alliance with his mortal enemy, the Senju clan. The misunderstanding between us is nothing, and Leader Madara surely won't take it to heart." Sasuke smiled.

In fact, he was not playing any tricks. He genuinely wanted to form an alliance with the Uchiha clan, not for the Uchiha clan, but for Uchiha Madara. He saw great potential and ambition in Madara, and he believed that Madara was the future of the ninja world.

Sasuke believed that when Madara reached his age, no one would be his match. At that time, the Uchiha clan would dominate the Land of Fire, and his Sarutobi clan would not be invaded. He could also use this opportunity to rise to prominence.

Of course, Sasuke did not yet know about the existence of Senju Hashirama, who was on par with Madara. Otherwise, he would have to reconsider.
